Hi Friends, Its been a long time since I uploaded the last video. Thank you guys for your great responses. Today we are going to see how to resolve the situation where server gives a red flag with error "Automatic Refresh Failed." and "Server manager is collecting Inventory Data. The wizard will be available after data collection finishes." Generaly this error appears when you try to add/remove roles from server manager. So on my Server 2k12 which is installed on virtual machine, when I tried to add roles on it, it gave me the following error : "Server manager is collecting Inventory Data. The wizard will be available after data collection finishes." Further when I tried to refresh the server manager, it shows "Refresh Failed". No metter how many times you try to refresh it, the count of failure here increases with each click. And when you click on the Red Flag here, it shows the Automatic Refresh Failed. So this is a frustrating situation where you wont be able to add/remove roles or features or any other activity on server manager. So in order to resolve this issue, open command prompt with Administrative Rights. You can do that by right clicking on CMD and then click on "Run as Administrator". Change the default directory to C:\Windows\System32 Once you do that, type the following command. dir /a /S *.MOF This command will search all the .mof files. It is the file format for Windows Management Object files. WMI data (such as definitions of namespaces, classes, instances, or providers) are sometimes represented in MOF files. Now change the directory path to wbem by typing CD Wbem and then cd AutoRecover. now type this simple command for /f %s in ('dir /b *.mof *.mfl') do mofcomp %s and hit enter. It will Recover all the .mof files that have been currupted and created an issue with Server Manager. It will take some time to recover all the files. Once it gets completed, type Exit to close the Command Prompt. Now go to the server manager and click on Refresh Icon and then click on Red Flag to check the status. You can see the server refresh is in progress instead of giving an error "refresh failed". Now it will take some time to refresh the server and finally without giving us an error of Server Refresh failed, it successfully refresh the server, which in result allows you to install Roles and Features on server. If you like the video, please share it, provide your valuable comments in the below comments box and do not forget to hit the subscribe button. Thanks.

It’s not just Apache Kafka — it’s the ecosystem. Making the most of streaming, event-driven architectures on Apache Kafka takes a host of supporting and complementary systems. High availability, multi-regional deployments that span public and private clouds are a substantial operational challenge. And on the application front, there is data discovery, schema management and governance, processing, and ultimately connecting to relevant data sources and destinations. This talk is about how Confluent Cloud solves these problems for Kafka users on GCP by making the stream processing ecosystem of Apache Kafka easily accessible and connected to Cloud BigQuery, Cloud Bigtable, and other native and open source tools on GCP. Privacy leaders with diverse perspectives will explain opportunities and challenges for the privacy road ahead.

Design is one of the most important but overlooked factors that determines people’s privacy. Social media apps, surveillance technologies, and the Internet of Things are all built in ways that make it hard to guard personal information. And the law says this is okay because it is up to users to protect themselves ― even when the odds are deliberately stacked against them. In this talk describing his book, "Privacy’s Blueprint," Woodrow Hartzog pushes back against this state of affairs, arguing that the law should require software and hardware makers to respect privacy in the design of their products. Current legal doctrine treats technology as though it were value-neutral: only the user decides whether it functions for good or ill. But this is not so. As Hartzog explains, popular digital tools are designed to expose people and manipulate users into disclosing personal information. Privacy gains will come from better rules for products, not users. The current model of regulating use fosters exploitation. Privacy’s Blueprint aims to correct this by developing the theoretical underpinnings of a new kind of privacy law responsive to the way people actually perceive and use digital technologies. The law can demand encryption. It can prohibit malicious interfaces that deceive users and leave them vulnerable. It can require safeguards against abuses of biometric surveillance. It can, in short, make the technology itself worthy of our trust. Get the book: https://goo.gl/hBBkmg

Before you can have Big Data, you must collect the data. There are two popular ways to do this: with batches and with live streams. Apache Kafka has changed the way we look at streaming and logging data and now Azure provides tools and services for streaming data into your Big Data pipeline in Azure. This session will outline the different services in the Big Data Streaming ecosystem in Azure, how they work together, and when to use which including HDInsight Kafka and Event Hubs. @IndeedEng March: Wednesday, March 27th Slides available: http://www.slideshare.net/indeedeng/indeedeng-how-to-get-a-job-35-million-times-a-day-using-rabbitmq The goal of Indeed's aggregation engine is to find and retrieve every job in the world, as quickly and accurately as possible. As we described in our previous tech talk, we strive to build products that are simple, fast, comprehensive, and relevant. The world's most comprehensive job search site is fueled by the more than 35 million job postings we process every day, which we deliver to jobseekers within minutes of discovery. Our original aggregation architecture was implemented using standard patterns. Our growth required levels of scalability, performance, and resilience this architecture simply could not handle. In a case study of scaling for the web, we will discuss how we tackled this problem. We will cover the issues we saw with our original architecture, how we analyzed our options to guide a solution, how we used RabbitMQ as a key component in the new architecture, and benchmarks to evaluate how successful we were. Speaker Ketan Gangatirkar is the development manager responsible for Indeed's continuous deployment infrastructure as well as its aggregation system. Speaker Cameron Davison is a software engineer on the aggregation team at Indeed and a graduate of UT Austin. He re-architected Indeed's aggregation pipeline using RabbitMQ to sustain high write volumes, and continues to improve products in the aggregation system to make it run more efficiently.

email marketing basics and fundamentals. What is email marketing? Basically the use of email to promote products and/or services. But a better email marketing definition is the use of email to develop relationships with potential customers and/or clients. Email marketing is one segment of internet marketing, which encompasses online marketing via websites, social media, blogs, etc. It is essentially the same as direct mail except that instead of sending mail through the postal service, messages are sent electronically via email. Email Marketing Can Be Personalized Particular groups of customers can be targeted or even individuals. Offering individual customers special deals on merchandise and/or services on the customer's birthday, for instance, is one example of email marketing personalization. (A restaurant might send an email to customers on their birthday offering 50% off an entree,) Email marketing helps a business develop and maintain a relationship with a customer over time that hopefully results in increased sales and increased customer loyalty. Email marketing best practices include developing your own email list rather than buying an email list(s) and making participation in your email list opt-in rather than opt-out (using permission-based email marketing). Email should also be optimized for mobile usage as according to statistics over half of emails are opened on mobile devices. The Advantages of Email Marketing The two big advantages of email marketing are price and ease. Emailing is an inexpensive way to advertise your company and its products and/or services compared to many other types of marketing. It's also extremely easy to set up and track an email marketing campaign, making it a very accessible type of marketing for small businesses. Newsletters can be sent to the email list you've built from the people who provided the necessary information on your website, for instance, providing these potential customers with news updates about your company, upcoming events and/or special offers – and, of course, reminding them that your business exists and that maybe it's time for another visit.

Google Tech Talk December 3, 2009 ABSTRACT Presented by Robert Edmonds, Eric Ziegast, and Paul Vixie. ISC SIE (Security Information Exchange) is a trusted, private framework for information sharing in the Internet Security field. Participants can operate real time sensors that upload and/or inject live data to SIE, and other participants can subscribe to this data either in real time, or by query access, or by limited and anonymized download. While SIE began in 2007 with a method for collecting and sharing raw packet captures for Passive DNS in near real time, correlation with other data types and data sources was required. SIE needed a way to efficiently pass structured data between participating nodes in the loosely-coupled broadcast ethernet message bus. We would like to present why SIE selected Google Protocol Buffers, how we utilize the technology within SIE, and how security researchers can use the libraries (libnmsg), APIs and tools for real-time analysis of disparate data sources.

Arribasoft, MGM v. Grokster and CoStar v. LoopNet. Prior to Perkins, Opsahl was a research fellow to Professor Pamela Samuelson at the U.C. Berkeley School of Information Management & Systems. Opsahl received his law degree from Boalt Hall, and undergraduate degree from U.C. Santa Cruz. Opsahl co-authored "Electronic Media and Privacy Law Handbook.” In 2007, Opsahl was named as one of the “Attorneys of the Year” by California Lawyer magazine for his work on the O'Grady v. Superior Court appeal, which established the reporter’s privilege for online journalists. In addition to his work at EFF, Opsahl is a member of the USENIX Board of Directors. NATE CARDOZO is a Staff Attorney on the Electronic Frontier Foundation’s digital civil liberties team. In addition to his focus on free speech and privacy litigation, Nate works on EFF's Who Has Your Back? report and Coders' Rights Project. Nate has projects involving automotive privacy, government transparency, hardware hacking rights, anonymous speech, electronic privacy law reform, Freedom of Information Act litigation, and resisting the expansion of the surveillance state. A 2009-2010 EFF Open Government Legal Fellow, Nate spent two years in private practice before returning to his senses and to EFF in 2012. Nate has a B.A. in Anthropology and Politics from U.C. Santa Cruz and a J.D. from U.C. Hastings where he has taught first-year legal writing and moot court. EVA GALPERIN is EFFs Global Policy Analyst, and has been instrumental in highlighting government malware designed to spy upon activists around the world. A lifelong geek, Eva misspent her youth working as a Systems Administrator all over Silicon Valley. Since then, she has seen the error of her ways and earned degrees in Political Science and International Relations from SFSU. She comes to EFF from the US-China Policy Institute, where she researched Chinese energy policy, helped to organize conferences, and attempted to make use of her rudimentary Mandarin skills. MARK JAYCOX is a Legislative Analyst for EFF. His issues include user privacy, civil liberties, surveillance law, and "cybersecurity." When not reading legal or legislative documents, Mark can be found reading non-legal and legislative documents, exploring the Bay Area, and riding his bike. He was educated at Reed College, spent a year abroad at the University of Oxford (Wadham College), and concentrated in Political History. The intersection of his concentration with advancing technologies and the law was prevalent throughout his education, and Mark's excited to apply these passions to EFF. Previous to joining EFF, Mark was a Contributor to ArsTechnica, and a Legislative Research Assistant for LexisNexis. YAN ZHU is a Staff Technologist with EFF. Yan writes code and words to enable pervasive encryption and protect Internet users' privacy. Besides maintainingHTTPS Everywhere at EFF, she is a core developer ofSecureDrop and founder of the Worldwide Aaron Swartz Memorial Hackathon Series. In her spare time, Yan writes about the intersection of computer security and humansand tries to find interesting ways to break web applications. She holds a B.S. in Physics from MIT and was a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow at Stanford. Twitter: @eff Twitter: @kurtopsahl

Table of Contents Today's Storyline 0:36 Strategic Options for a Healthcare Digital Platform 7:04 The Healthcare Analytics Adoption Model 10:26 Health Catalyst DOS™ & Product Overview 12:38 Mistakes Made and Lessons Learned 32:13 Q&A 49:07 There are essentially four strategic options to address the enterprise data platform requirements of today’s healthcare systems: (1) build your own, (2) buy from EHR vendors, (3) look to a Silicon Valley high-tech startup, and (4) partner with Health Catalyst or a handful of similar companies. In this webinar, Health Catalyst’s CTO, Dale Sanders, comments on all four approaches, hoping to help you to assess your organization’s strategy against the options and vendors in each category. It’s been exactly three years since Health Catalyst embarked on a major investment in its next-generation technology, the Data Operating System (DOS™) and its applications. This webinar is an update on the progress, less about marketing the technology, but rather offering DOS as a reference architecture that can support analytics, AI, text processing, data-first application development, and interoperability, as an all-in-one agile cost-savings architecture. In addition to the successes, Dale comments on the challenges that Health Catalyst has faced under a very ambitious DOS development plan. In its current state, DOS has made some significant improvements to overcome early mistakes, and is now a very solid enterprise data platform. In the interests of industry-wide learning, Sanders will talk transparently about those mistakes and how those learnings are being applied to the DOS platform, positioning it to evolve gracefully over the next 25 years. View the webinar to learn how the DOS reference architecture: - Helps manage the 2,000+ compulsory measures in US healthcare - Enables applications as varied as a real-time patient safety surveillance system, and an activity-based costing system in one platform - Can ingest data of any type or velocity from over 300 healthcare source systems and growing - Bundles tools, applications, and analytics that would cost 3-6x more to build on your own - Compares to EHR vendors as an option to serve as an enterprise data and analytics platform - Is a performant, sustainable, and maintainable platform for deploying AI models in the natural flow of the healthcare data pipeline - Provides curated data content and models while still allowing for the agility of a late binding design option - Functions as a reference architecture that all healthcare organizations and vendors will ultimately have to build in their pursuit of digital health
