Paint the Sunset with me

04:55
Hey everyone, This is a very different type of video. I recently took up painting again and some of you requested a Speed Painting video so here it is. Sit back, enjoy the music and paint with little Bubz. This is my 3rd painting lesson with Tim Gagnon. He is a fellow Youtuber and amazing artist. I found him a week ago and have been OBSESSED with his painting techniques. His passion inspires me so much and I'm learning so much from him right now. I'm currently taking the Misty Forests lessons from his website http://www.timgagnonstudio.com/lessons You guys can check out his Youtube Channel: http://www.youtube.com/Gagnonstudio I'm sharing his channel and website because I'm learning so much from him and sharing the joy. I'm not paid by this or anything. I just think he's great and deserves to be known more. I know a lot of you guys are aspiring artists out there and I know Tim would teach amazing things to you all like I did. For 2012, I decided to take up painting for one of my resolutions. I loved painting as a child. I was obsessed with art because I can go anywhere through my drawings. It freed me because it allowed me to escape from the busy World. As I get older, I really realize that the simplest things make me happiest. Sometimes, I feel like the World moves too fast for me. Almost 8 years after High School, I plucked up courage to paint again. Painting somehow slows down time for me because it allows me to be 100% focused on the painting. You guys can read my diary post http://bubzbeauty.com/diary/235-painting-with-passion-again.html for my painting story. I hope it also inspires you guys to go back to your passions. I know we can become occupied with life but really, this has given me back lots of meaning in my life again. I don't think people realize how short life really is so do all the things you want to do that inspires you while you can. Make the most out of it. I'm still learning from Tim right now (You guys should see his original painting of the one I did lol, it's like...breathtaking!!!). It will be a while for me to be as skillful (or if not, half as skillful) as he is. But one day, I would love to give away one of my paintings to you guys as a gesture. If I ever hit 1 million subscribers- that would be such a special thing to do. Some of you mentioned I can auction a painting and put the money to charity. That's a great idea but it makes me nervous. It'll be a fun and good cause and I'll work hard practicing for that day. Ps. Music "Path of Wind" orchestra version from my fav Studio Ghibli anime "Totoro". Nostalgic!! and also "From the Inside out" instrumental from Hillsong. Have a great day, Much love, Bubz xx Check out the Bubzbeauty Official Website. THIS MAKEUP ARTIST IS A MASTER OF BODY PAINT ILLUSIONS

15:07
Mirjana Milosevic is a talented makeup artist from Serbia who creates amazing body paint illusions and is known by the nickname Kika. Mirjana's parents said that she learned to draw before she learned to walk. She was drawing every day and on any surface that was available. When Mirjana was 11, her sister's friend asked her to draw a cartoon characters mural on his wall. The result was awesome, and she felt really happy doing it. She grew up in a country that was struck by war and it was a really hard time, so her parents couldn’t arrange for her to go to an artistic school. Mirjana spent all of her free time after school on improving her skills. Three years after graduation from high school, Mirjana gave birth to her son, Danilo, and motherhood gave her the strength she needed to start doing what she’d always wanted to do. Mirjana became the most popular kids’ muralist in her country, but because of an accident with her spine she took a break. Doctors told her this was essential if she wanted to have more children. In 2012, Mirjana gave birth to her second child, Nikola. Nikola inspired her to start doing kids face-painting, and she was very successful in that as well. After that, she completed a basic makeup course and became interested in special effects makeup and body-painting. Now Mirjana is a fantastic body paint artist and creates amazing illusions. She has won a lot of awards for her skills: 2015 – The Festival of Serbian Fantastic Film – The Oskull Award; 2015 - 3rd place at the International Face-Painting Competition in Serbia; 2016 - 1st place and beauty vlogger of the year, NYX Face Awards Serbia competition; 2017 - 1st place at the International Face-Painting Competition in Serbia; Mirjana Kika Milosevic is one of the top ten illusionists in the world. Her makeup illusion videos are very popular on YouTube. 10 Great Mysteries Hidden in Famous Paintings

10:01
As you know, art is not just a source of inspiration but a great mystery too. Artists often add unique little details to their paintings or leave messages that are impossible to notice at first glance. We’ve collected painting masterpieces with surprising secrets. At the end of the video, there’s a bonus waiting for you: one of the strangest hypotheses about the Mona Lisa. Stay with us and learn the things that you never knew before. TIMESTAMPS The wrong ear 0:55 The painting under the painting 1:55 The Night Watch is set at daytime 2:41 The Sistine Chapel’s anatomical code 3:27 The symbol of strength 4:41 Rembrandt’s squint 5:10 Vengeance to lovers 5:55 Prediction of the end of the world 6:36 The world in yellow 7:48 Mozart and the Masons 8:31 Toothless Mona Lisa 9:02 SUMMARY - The discrepancy is explained by the fact that van Gogh used a mirror to create the picture of himself. It seems to be a strange and sharp reaction for van Gogh to cut off his ear. However, the history explains it with the fact that he was deeply in troubles and, apparently, losing his mind at the time of executing the painting. - If you look closely at The Old Guitarist by Pablo Picasso, you can see a ghostly female silhouette behind the man’s head in the top center of the painting. After taking infrared and X-ray images of the canvas, researchers from the Art Institute of Chicago discovered a few other shapes hidden underneath. - The Shooting Company of Frans Banning Cocq and Willem van Ruytenburch (better known as The Night Watch) is considered to be one of Rembrandt’s greatest portrait paintings which were executed at the top of his career. The painting depicts the militia fully equipped and readying them to embark on a mission. - The Creation of Adam by Michelangelo contains allusions to anatomy. They argue that the right part of the painting is an anatomically correct image of a huge brain. You can find even the most sophisticated components of the brain, such as the cerebellum, the optic nerve, and the pituitary gland. - The figures of David and Goliath in another fresco of the Sistine Chapel created by Michelangelo form the Hebrew letter gimel, which symbolizes strength in the mystical Kabbalah tradition. It is not a surprise that the shapes on the painting look so powerful, is it? - Margaret Livingstone and Bevil Conway studied Rembrandt’s self-portraits and proved that the painter suffered from stereoblindness. This peculiarity made the artist perceive the world a little differently: he saw reality in 2D instead of 3D. - One of the most famous paintings by Gustav Klimt portrays Adele Bloch-Bauer. It was commissioned by her husband, the sugar baron Ferdinand Bloch-Bauer. He found out that Adele and Klimt had an affair and believed that after hundreds of sketches the painter would come to hate his mistress. - The Italian researcher Sabrina Sforza Galitzia proposed an unusual interpretation of Leonardo da Vinci’s Last Supper. She says that the artist left a prediction of the end of the world in his painting, which will happen on March 21, 4006. - Almost all the paintings of Vincent van Gogh feature a dominant yellow. Professor Paul Wolf explains that as a side effect of an epilepsy remedy that changes color perception. - There is solid evidence that Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was a Mason. Even in his child portrait by Pietro Antonio Lorenzoni, we can see a Masonic symbol: a hidden hand that indicates a hierarchical rank in the secret society. - What is it that made Mona Lisa’s smile so enchanting and captivating? Dentist and art expert Joseph Borkowski carefully studied Leonardo da Vinci’s painting and claims to have unveiled the secret behind La Gioconda’s smile... #mystery #paintings #secretmeaning Subscribe to Bright Side : https://goo.gl/rQTJZz ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our Social Media: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/brightside/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/brightgram/ 5-Minute Crafts Youtube: https://www.goo.gl/8JVmuC  ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For more videos and articles visit: http://www.brightside.me/

Fascinating Stories Behind Popular Art

05:41
Top 10 interesting backstories of well known paintings. Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/9CwQhg Other Videos You Might Like Amazing Stories Behind Iconic Photos https://youtu.be/hBJBRVV_F5E 10 Creepiest Pages On Wikipedia https://youtu.be/CVo4WRaLaL4 Description: When it comes to art, it can speak to people in many different ways. Because the human mind is not universal, we do not interpret art in the same way. What most people don’t realize is that some of the most iconic paintings to have been created have the most fascinating stories behind them. Sometimes the stories are more interesting than the paintings themselves. Each color choice and brush stroke represent a narrative in the paintings birth story, and eventually become a masterpiece that impact people generations to come long after the artist has passed away. Art has the ability to invoke emotions and awaken our senses. From looking at a painting of a forest, we are taken back to our own experiences among the trees. We might be able to smell the wood, feel the breeze blowing by, and visually see the animals and plant life around us. Because of this kind of reaction, artists have a powerful tool in sending messages and making us feel certain things from looking at their work. There is no question that art is one of the most powerful devices for inspiration and manipulation. In this video, you will see paintings from a variety of different time periods and artists. From Vincent van Gogh to Andy Warhol, the artists here each had unique experiences that motivated them to pick up the paint brush. Whether they were trying to recreate a life experience, like what Edvard Munch did in his painting “The Scream” or what van Gogh created with “Starry Night” as he recreated his window view from his room at a mental hospital, or they were trying to send a message like Grant Wood with “American Gothic” or Salvador Dali with “The Persistence of Memory”. Some of the most famous paintings today have assumed stories and origins, such as Leonardo da Vinci’s “Mona Lisa” where people assume the female subject can’t be identified. While she remains a mystery, by looking at historical records, art historians believe that they are closer than ever to finding out the truth about the woman behind the smile. Learning about the stories behind these popular paintings can be both fun and educational. If you look at the origin story of “The Raft of Medusa”, many people are shocked to find out that the painting is based on actual events that include shipwrecks, cannibalism, descents into madness, and death. The painting is the second most popular painting at the Louvre Museum (after the Mona Lisa), and was able to draw a crowd on its own without the historical information. Situations such as these speak volumes about our history and the evolution of mankind. As we grow and develop the world of art, we are finding that we have more in common with the people of the past than ever before. For more information on the fascinating stories behind the world’s most popular paintings, check out the video below. Don’t worry, you didn’t need to take a class in art history in order to appreciate these works of art. HYPER-REALISTIC ACRYLIC BODY PAINTING BY ALEXA MEADE

10:44
Alexa Meade is a talented artist from the USA known for her completely new approach to art. Alexa created hyper-realistic body paintings and turns her models into 2D illustrations. On the one hand, this is body art, because acrylic paints are applied directly to the skin and clothing. On the other hand, Alexa uses a technique that was invented in the days of French Baroque, and is well known under the name “trompe l’oeil”, or “optical illusion”. Alexa's models ideally fit into the background painted with the same acrylic paints, and 3D objects amazingly transform into 2D illustrations. As you can see in the video, these body art paintings are created quickly. The one thing is that these masterpieces never become eternity. After the work is completed, models are separated from the background and leave it returning to their own everyday life. Modern art is trying to get as close as possible to reality. This is why hyper-realistic paintings are created. But Alexa Meade, no doubt, succeeded in naturalism more than anyone. Check out this amazing compilation and you'll totally agree! Inspirational Art and Quotes by Famous Artists taken from The Healing Power of ART & ARTISTS website at https://www.healing-power-of-art.org. The Healing Power of ART & ARTISTS (HPAA) is a growing global community of artists, writers and advocates dedicated to raising awareness about how art enhances the well-being of individuals, society and the environment. We believe that art has the power to heal, inspire, provoke, challenge and offer hope. ABOUT THE HEALING POWER OF ART & ARTISTS HPAA was launched in 2015 as an initiative of Manhattan Arts International https://www.manhattanarts.com, which I founded in 2000 and where we have been presenting "The Healing Power of ART" exhibitions since 2000. The Healing Power of ART & ARTISTS website has become one of the most popular positive art-related destinations on the Internet. Rose Wylie – Studio Visit | TateShots

Wylie takes inspiration for her paintings from film, literature and even the scraps of newspaper articles on her studio floor. Often arranging her large-scale paintings in book formation, so that they take on the angles found at the corner of a room, Wylie's use of familiar imagery allows her to tell stories and explore themes of representation in narratives already in the public domain. How to Paint Rims - Stripe Color Change

This how to paint your rims video doesn't properly illustrate the prep work that was done prior to painting. The wheels where completely scuffed, cleaned and the black was masked off before painting the rims. The clear coat applied at the end provides the shine and durability of the wheels. This customer had brought me a set of rims from his Mazda 6 that had a red strip originally but he wanted it painted yellow to match the rest of his car. After about 10hrs of work the rims had been painted successfully. I think the rims look pretty sweet, they kinda remind me of the bumblebee man transformer. This is how to paint rims with or with the stripe, base and clear like any other job works great. The rims were first scuffed with a sanding paste and scotch pad to prep them for the paint to adhere. Next the line was taped up and the color was applied to the rims. The first coat was a white ground coat to help my yellow cover better since it is transparent. I used a Devilbiss Dagr airbrush to apply the basecoat and a Devilbiss gti was used for clearcoat. After basecoat the tape was removed and I removed any overspray off the rims and remasked them. The tire was masked off of the rim and the valve stem was taped up also. Two coats of BASF clearcoat was applied and allowed to dry. The basecoat used here was RM ONYX HD Waterborne paint.

Oil Painting with Mark Harrison

10:04
Dreamlands - Oil Painting With Mark Harrison. Although not a regular oil painting demonstration this film portrays the development of an oil painting by Mark Harrison from initial sketch to completion. It shows Mark Harrison's basic working method and oil painting techniques, in this case a fantasy landscape painting called "Borderlands" for exhibition at the Illuxcon Art Symposium in the USA, held in Allentown PA in October 2015. The film was edited in Premier and graded with Film Convert by Cliff Wright of Eaglesmirror, filmed in Mark Harrison's studio and home, compressing the time taken for painting "Borderlands" into one notional day. Mark Harrison was an illustrator based in the UK for 25 years in which time he painted 484 book jacket illustrations for most major UK and USA publishers including Penguin Books, Bantam Doubleday Dell and Harper Collins. An artist's monograph of his work called "Mark Harrison's Dreamlands" was published in 1990 by Paper Tiger for which he won The British Science Fiction Society's award for Best Artwork in 1991. In 2003 he ceased illustration and started to paint personal work for sale in UK galleries, at first using chalk pastel but now paints exclusively in oil on canvas. He has exhibited work with The Pastel Society, The Royal Institute of Oil Painters and the Royal Society of British Artists at the Mall Galleries, London, the Medici gallery in Cork Street, London as well as many other galleries in the UK. He is also a frequent contributor of articles for Artists & Illustrators magazine published in the UK as well as his own work being published in American Art Collector and International Artist magazines in the USA. He is included in "Who's Who In Art" published by the Morven Press and "The Dictionary of 20th Century British Illustrators" published by The Antique Collectors Club. No rubber ducks were harmed during the making of this film. http://www.paintingsbymarkharrison.com http://cliffwright.co.uk

When Experts X Rayed This 16th Century Painting, The Face Of An Infamous Queen Lay Hidden Beneath

08:00
Please do not forget to visit the site http://scribol.com Subscribe to our channel: https://goo.gl/Z4nZcg ************************************************************** Dr. Caroline Rae of London’s prestigious Courtauld Institute of Art was conducting research into a 16th-century portrait by Adrian Vanson. It was a painting of a notable Scottish figure, Lord Chancellor Sir John Maitland. One of the techniques Rae used involved advanced x-ray technology. And what she found under the painting of Maitland has astonished the art world. Adrian Vanson, whose work is seen here in this 1585 portrait of the Scottish king James VI, was probably born in modern-day Holland. Vanson was appointed King’s Painter in 1584, with an annual payment of £100, a handsome sum at the time. In this role, he went on to paint many members of the Scottish aristocracy. ---------------------------------------------------------- ►Article link:https://goo.gl/QcW43v ----------------------------------------------------------- The influence of the Italian Renaissance had spread to Scotland in the 15th century, with the help of Dutch painters who were active in the country at the time. And by the mid-16th century, portrait painting in particular had become popular among the wealthy and powerful in Scottish society. This portrait of Agnes Douglas from 1599 is another of Vanson’s works. And the Scots subsequently developed a particular genre of painting that has come to be known as the “vendetta portrait.” These were intended to commemorate injustices perpetrated on certain individuals. One such example was the gruesome painting seen here. It shows the disfigured corpse of James Stewart, Earl of Moray, who was murdered in 1591 by the Marquess of Huntly. ************************************************************** ►You can support the channel: PATREON https://goo.gl/KtaKrp ►web: http://watchjojo.com ► SUBSCRIBE US: https://goo.gl/Z4nZcg ► Follow Us On Google Plus: https://goo.gl/JYf9Rr ► Like us Our Facebook Page: https://goo.gl/C5Rv92 ► Follow On Twitter: https://goo.gl/PZ2U1R ►For more articles visit: http://scribol.com #watchjojo

Her own genealogy can be traced back to the early Italian Renaissance with Carlo Crivelli, a contemporary of Botticelli. Ariana's ongoing work shows the classical influence of the Old Masters, along with the dynamics of Impressionist artists, most notably Monet and Guy Rose. She draws inspiration from historic painters such as John Singer Sargent, Anders Zorn, Émile Friant, and Emil Carlson. "Like the Impressionists, I enjoy the effects of light, and especially natural light on the figure. If I could, I would take each viewer along to my favorite places along the seacoasts or in the mountains to the secret places of nature." -Ariana Richards In keeping with her desire to share the special places, Ariana Richards has arranged to take her commission clients into the countryside with her wine country portrait offering. Scores of media interviewers asked, "What can she possibly do as a follow up to her film career?" She hasn't disappointed them. Already she has become one of the most celebrated portrait artists of our time. Ariana's list of exhibitions includes museum and solo shows. She counts among her collectors local and international corporations. Currently residing in Oregon, she is quickly becoming known for her evocative portraits and figure paintings as well as her landscapes and still-life paintings. Ariana Richards - Portrait Artist and Actress http://www.galleryariana.com/ http://www.facebook.com/GalleryAriana https://plus.google.com/+Galleryarianarichards This video is a reflection upon portrait painting by celebrity artist, Ariana Richards. Ariana Richards possessed a love of traditional art at an early age. An internationally noted actress, known especially for her role as "Lex" in "Jurassic Park," she went on to Skidmore College to earn a B.S. Degree in Fine Art and Drama, with distinction. She continued with instruction at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California and has been mentored by some of the finest names in Contemporary Impressionist art. An award-winning young artist, her magazine credits include feature articles in Art of the West, Southwest Art, People magazine and American Artist magazine, where you can see her work on their cover. Ariana's painting awards include receiving 1st place in the National Oil Painting Competition sponsored by American Artist magazine, People's Choice Award at the Wine Country Exhibition at Napa, and Art of the West's Blue Ribbon Award of Excellence in the Western Regional Competition sponsored by Oil Painters of America.
