How to Endorse Your Check So Someone Else May Cash It. A check written specifically to you is a simple matter to cash. By endorsing the back of the check with your name as it appears on the front of the check, you can present the check to a bank to cash or deposit it. If you receive a check that you want to transfer to someone else, endorse your check so someone else may cash it. Endorsing a check simply means you acknowledge receipt of the check, and your signature is evidence of legal transfer of the amount noted on the check. When you sign your name, this is tangible proof you received the check should any questions arise. Watch this video to learn how do you endorse check so that someone else or a particular person can cash it out. How to write a check with hundreds and cents? Check is a payable on demand item which means it is negotiable as soon as it is written. Years ago, it took days for people to get paid when you wrote them checks. Not anymore. In the U.S., you write a check using your checking account. You can write a check up to the monetary balance you have in your account. Step-by-step instructions on writing checks properly. The first time writing a check can be a little overwhelming. Don't worry, it's all really simple once it's all laid out for you. You'll write the amount using numbers in the dollar box (the box on the right side of your check next to the dollar bill sign – “$”). Start by writing the number of dollars, then a decimal point or period (“.”), and then the number of cents. Writing a check to yourself is very similar to writing a check to anyone else. Although personal checks have become less popular due to credit cards and checking cards, they are still frequently used. You can also use personal checks to withdraw funds from your own bank account if you don't have other options, and you can cash a check made out to yourself at various check cashing centers. In this example, you'll move from the top of a check to the bottom, which should help you avoid skipping any steps. Filling out a check the right way is key if you don't want there to be a hassle. To help you with this, here are six simple steps on how to write a check. http://www.engvid.com/ Out shopping and out of cash $$$? Learn how to pay with a debit or credit card in English! It can be intimidating to use a bank machine in a new language. Which account should you choose? What is a "PIN"? When people are waiting behind you, it is embarrassing when you don't understand something. Take a deep breath, and watch this video. Afterwards, take the quiz, and you'll be ready to check out! http://www.engvid.com/learn-real-english-debit-credit-cards/ TRANSCRIPT Hi, there. My name is Ronnie. Welcome to the lesson on how to pay with a debit or credit card. One thing that might be a little bit difficult when you're shopping is understanding what the machine says when you want to pay with a bank card, a debit card, or a credit card. So as an example, this is a credit card. It's not, but it'll suffice. It'll do. So this is actually a points card for movies. If you like to go to the movies, you can get a Scene card. And if you spend lots of money in the movie theater, you can watch a movie for free. The first thing that the person's going to do is they're going to give you a machine, or a machine will be at the checkout or the cash register. Oh, hi, machine. The very, very first thing that the machine will say -- it will say, "Swipe or insert". These are verbs. The first verb, "swipe" -- what you have to do is you have to take the black strip -- and "swipe" means to quickly push it through or pull it through a machine. So you're going to be, like -- you can make this noise if you want. Now, the thing that confuses me all the time is sometimes, I have to put my card in so the black stripe is towards me. Some machines, you have to put it so that the black stripe is away from you. The people never tell you, and you -- what's happening? Other way. Thanks. So maybe you are able to swipe your card. Perfect. So you're going to -- verb -- "swipe" the card. The other option, "insert" -- this card does not have one, but this is card a "chip". It's like a microchip. And you actually insert or put the card into the bottom of the machine. So "swipe" means to do this action. I don't know how to spell [swipe sound] -- but "insert" means to stick it in, to put in. So you're actually going to put it in the machine, or put your card in the machine. The next thing that will happen is you probably have to keep your card in the machine if it's inserted. If it's swiped, you usually take your card back. They're going to ask you to verify the amount. So on the little computer screen, it'll say, "Amount: $42.75 Ok?" It's your chance to press the "ok" button. Now, if you decide that maybe the price is wrong or the person has typed it in wrong, you have to option to press "cancel". "Cancel" means no. Not going to happen. No. I'm sorry. "Ok" means "yes". It'll tell you the amount "$42.75 Ok?" You then press "Ok". The next screen that will come up will look like this: "Che Sav". What is "Che Sav"? These are two different kinds of bank accounts that are common around the world. The first one is "chequing", and the second one is "savings". Now, a chequing account means that you can write cheques. Cheques are like paper money. If you ever have to pay rent, you're going to use a cheque. A savings account -- more like a spending account -- is you can't write cheques through it. They're usually cheaper and more efficient in banks than a chequing account. Some people have two bank accounts. Maybe you have a chequing account and a savings account. And maybe you have to keep a certain amount of money in one of these. So you get to choose which account your money comes out of. The next step it's going to say is, "enter pin". Pin? Safety pin? What's a "pin"? Your "pin" is your "personal identity number". So it's usually for numbers. Mine is "777" -- oh, no. Not going to tell you. Enter your pin number. So you put in your pin number. Now, sometimes -- this happens to me a lot -- I try to swipe or I try to insert my card, and I have to tell the person -- I have to say, "I didn't work." So it means that this black band at the back -- it's not being read by the machine. The machine does not understand this. Some people have techniques where they take a piece of paper, and they put the card through again. If your card is very old or dirty like mine, maybe it doesn't work as well. That's why the chip is really, really helpful where you insert it in. But anyways, sometimes, if it doesn't work, you have to start again. Okay? So you're going to enter your pin number.

New initiatives in the UK are being taken to allow bank customers to deposit checks into their account by taking photos on their smartphones. The new initiatives are currently being discussed by the British government as well as financial institutions throughout the UK, who say the new transfer method will be more convenient and more secure. Similar technology was introduced in the United States some nine years ago, thanks to a law known as Check 21. The UK Payments Council was originally planning to abolish all check payments by 2018, but was forced to change its mind after public opposition. Barclays will be launching a pilot program in April 2014 for the new transfer method, and hopes to provide a service for all its customers later in the year.

This will create jobs, lose greedy banks and greedy utilities money, and show them that we are not putting up with their greed anymore as people are cold, hungry and even dying. These last two decades have been about "bring backs" so lets go retro and bring back the cheque! Let's slow and clog the system! Also use the odd paperclip or staple.I found out that in 2006 Yorkshire Bank was the WORST bank for forgetting to remove clips and staples resulting in a fine from the clearing centre as this breaks the machine down. Writing so many cheques can be fun! Take turns while watching the telly! Knowing for every one you write is taking money away from greedy people. A cheque HAS to be honoured, small change can be refused but as long as you made your payments be cheque on time then it is fine. The more we write clogs up the clearing system which for the past two decades has been reduced down to one cheque clearing centre. This will cost the banks dear. Producing, posting and processing cheques is costly and time consuming this will mean less branch closures and more staff hired to cope with this retro cheque comeback. The banks could even be fined for not processing the cheques on time. The last clearing centre is inundated with cheques and cant cope and staff numbers and maintaining the machinery spirals. The utility companies hands are tied as the customer has proof they paid well on time but they haven't received the payment. Call centres around the world are clogged up as they have to call OUT to all UK customers to verify payment but oops they cant get in contact PUT THEM ON HOLD! COME ON UK! If we all do this we will run them into the ground and teach them a tough lesson about their greed! It doesn't take that long to write a cheque I still write cheques and could fill out a book worth in ten mins! The same time it takes to log on and pay or the time and money it costs YOU online or on the phone setting up standing orders or direct debits put the cost on them! #CUSTOMERREVENGE The blame game is tired LETS TAKE ACTION! The next time the bill arrives pay in £1 cheques with the last one for the remaining amount. Banks have for DECADES wanted to run cheques into the ground as they are expensive to produce, post, and process. Put your bill and cheques in the banks drop box GET PROOF YOU PAID ON TIME a photo or a cash machine slip (bank counter staff should be happy to do this as it is keeping them in the job if not use the drop box and record the time and date, they can NOT refuse cheques) There is only ONE cheque clearing centre left in the UK as the banks have successfully run down the cheque... cheques are bound in lots of laws that the banks dont like. So now we have clogged the banks and process centre with MILLIONS of cheques and the system grinds to a halt the best bit is... you have proof you paid on time and it is on the banks head for not clearing the cheques, the greedy banks loose cash and so do the utility companies who now have to CALL OUT to customers to verify if they paid... you have proof you did the book stops at the bank... they can call each other and waste there time and money. Jobs will be created and Royal Mail sell off will look like an even bigger disaster. So by us all just using the humble cheque, we have cost the banks and utility companies millions, the government is shocked that the UK is fighting back. Jobs are created, It is a calm civilised protest, nobody gets hurt, and the Royal Mail, EDF, RWE, Barclays, RBS, TSB, Lloyds N Power SSE, Yorkshire Water, Severn Trent, Santander and any other utility and bank you can think of start to realise, that allowing your customers to starve, freeze and even die... may not be good for business.

Payoneer signup: link: http://www.shoutmeloud.com/recommended/Payoneer/ ✅ In this video, you will learn how to receive Amazon Affiliate payment using Payoneer. This is useful for people who are an affiliate with Amazon U.S. program & live outside the United States. For example, an Indian or a Pakistani or a Bangladeshi affiliate can use Payoneer to receive payment. More info here: http://www.shoutmeloud.com/amazon-us-affiliate-payment.html http://www.shoutmeloud.com/receive-commission-junction-affiliate-payment-payoneer.html If you enjoyed this video and would like to receive more similar content, join me at: Website: http://www.shoutmeloud.com Facebook http://Facebook.com/ShoutMeLoud Twitter: http://Twitter.com/denharsh ------------------------------ Here is the complete video transcript: Hey Guys! Harsh here and welcome to another video episode of ShoutMeLoud. And in the last video I told you about Payoneer, what they do, how they can benefit you and in this video you will learn how you can receive Amazon payment using Payoneer. So, if you are an affiliate of Amazon US and since I'm sure many of you are, you can receive your payment via Payoneer. So, let me quickly show you how to do that and if you have any question after that you can ask them in the comment section below. I have also added the Payoneer sign up link ah!in the description. You can use that to sign up. And let's go ahead with our tutorial. So what you need to do is to login to your Amazon affiliate dashbaord. And once you are inside the dashbaord, this is how your dashboard would look like. Click on the account settings. So basically we are going to ah! Setting page where we need to update our payment details. This is very important if you have not received Amazon payment so far. Ah, ensure that this section, our section over here your current tax status should be completed. If it's incomplete ah! most of the times your payment will be on hold and it would take ah you know few months for you to receive payments. So make sure that you have added ah! you have completed the tax information. Now click on the change payment method. So I have already done that. I have already done this but you know it's good to see. So here you have few options like "Pay Me By Amazon.com Gift Card" or you can "Pay by Cheque." Cheque is something which I completely hate. Aweber send you payment via Cheque and it's pain because imagine number one that it would take a lot of time for chick to come to your door and then when you, you know submit that Cheque to bank it usually takes about 20 days for Cheque to you know, money to get loaded into your account that's pretty, pretty sad. Anyways, so in this case what you need to look at is "Pay Me By Direct Deposit" United State based associate only and what you need to do is, you need to back to your Payoneer account, of course you need to log into your Payoneer account. This is my Payoneer dashboard click on "Receive and Global" payment service and here you need to click on USD. Alright! Oh so this is for, this will, this will work like your own chequing account in United States. So here is the Detail Bank, Bank Name, Routing, Account Number, Account Type and Beneficiary Name. So you just need to fill all this detail over here exactly same to same, click on submit and that's it. You start receiving your Amazon payment. Let me quickly show you the last payment which I have received by Amazon. So I have received one payment on 26th Feb. So, I can't see the total amount but yeah I have received one payment by Amazon a verified tested this, this works pretty amazing. Especially if you are living in country like India and or Bangladesh or Nepal or Pakistan where you know, you have no other option than receiving payment via Cheque. So, Payoneer is the service that will help you a lot and if you know of any other people, any other friend who might be benefit benefit by knowing about this trick to receive payment from Amazon. Do send this video to them, do share this video with them. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask me in the comment section below. I've added the Payoneer signup link in the description and if you like this video do click like and share it definitely helps video to be seen by others and I'll see you in the next video.

The cabinet has today cleared an ordinance or executive order to allow businesses to pay salaries through electronic mode and cheques. The order will only be applicable to central government-administered institutions. The amendment to the Payment of Wages Act allows employers to pay salaries by cheque or credit it in employees' bank accounts. The existing option of salary payment by cash also remains. Currently, to make salary payment by cheque or bank transfer requires an authorization from the employee. The ordinance will help bring a section of the industrial sector and other establishments under the domain of the government's plan of checking corruption by going cashless. The move will also ensure that minimum wages are paid to the employees and that their social security rights can be protected, the government said in a notification. This way, the employers can no longer "under-quote" the number of employees to avoid becoming a subscriber to the provident Fund or ESIC schemes. This is a practical vocabulary lesson about words we use at the bank. Banking has a set of specialized vocabulary, and you may be nervous to go to the bank in an English-speaking country. But knowing some useful words will make it easy and pleasant for you. In this lesson, I will teach you the meaning of "bank teller", "PIN", "investments", "account", "deposit", "withdraw", and many more terms associated with going to the bank. If you want to feel more confident when going to the bank and speaking in English, watch this lesson and complete the quiz. After that, you'll be in business! http://www.engvid.com/real-english-vocabulary-at-the-bank/ TRANSCRIPT Hi, everyone. I'm Alex. Thanks for clicking, and welcome to this lesson on "Bank Vocabulary". Today, we're going to talk about going to the bank, and the different things you can do, and the different verbs associated and nouns associated with this very common experience. So, first, when you enter the bank, you have to "get in line" or "get in the queue". Now, specifically, in the United States, even in Canada, we use the word "line" when you're waiting to see someone at the bank. If you are in other parts of the world, specifically England, you can also call a line a "queue", so you get in the queue or get in line. Next, once it's your turn to, you know, do your business at the bank, you see a "bank teller". So, the name of the person who helps you at the bank is the teller. And after you see the bank teller, if you already have an account with the bank, you have to use your bank card and put in your "PIN". Your "PIN" is your personal identification number, your code, your password. Right? Now, once this is done, you're ready, the bank teller can see your account. Or maybe it's your first time and you didn't put in a PIN, there are different things you can do and ask for when you're at the bank. Number one, you can say: "Hi. I'd like to open an account", or "close an account". Now, again the two most common types of accounts at a bank are a checking account and a savings account. So your checking is your everyday spending. This is what you use your debit card for. Right? So, I'm just going to put "debit card" here. Your debit card is your bank card, and this is what you use to make payments when you go out to restaurants, movie theaters, etc. Okay, you can also transfer money when you are at the bank. So if you'd like to move some money from your checking account, for example, to one of your other accounts, such as a savings account or maybe a joint account that you have with your partner, husband, wife, etc., you can ask to do that. You can say: "Hi. I'd like to transfer $200 from my checking account to my savings account." And again, this is if you don't do online banking, which solves a lot of these issues. Now, instead of transferring money, you can also "deposit" money or "make a deposit". This means you are putting money into your accounts. So if you, you know, receive a check from the government, for example, or maybe your workplace still gives checks (it still happens, it does), you can deposit that check. And "deposit it" means put that money into your account. You can "withdraw". Now, "to withdraw" is to take out money. So, these two are really the most common verbs when you're talking about exchanging money with the bank, whether you're in the bank or at an ATM machine. So you deposit, which means you put money in; withdraw means you take money out. So you can withdraw or take out money. And the term we can also use is you can make a "withdrawal". And you'll see the "al" here, this means that, again, this is a noun in this case. The verb, there's no "al" at the end; it's just "withdraw". Withdraw money. You can "pay a bill". So, again, bills are our favourite things in the world, like pay for your electricity at your house, or your television, internet, etc. Now, again, this doesn't only have to be for those common things, because most people today, you have an automatic withdraw happens when you pay for a bill. But again, sometimes you get something where you have to go to the bank to pay the bill. If you get something from the Ministry of Transportation or something from the government, and it's unclear what you have to do to pay something online, you can go to the bank and you can pay that bill. Also, you can "exchange currency". So if you are travelling somewhere and you only have money from your country, you can change that money. And again, the name for "money" in this case is "currency", like the dollar is one type of currency, the yen is another type of currency. And you can ask the bank: "What's your rate?" because different places, exchange offices, banks, will have different rates for your currency. So, for example, the bank might say, if I'm travelling from Canada to the United States, they might say: "95 cents per dollar." Okay? So for every dollar that I have Canadian, I receive 95 cents American.
