Strategy Development Simplified: What Is Strategy & How To Develop One? ✓

53:59
✅Join me and 5,000 others at LIG so I can show you how you can transform your career. Registrations are now open again; https://goo.gl/Z95zVB Watch next: One Simple Talk That May Change Your Career and Life: https://youtu.be/R-PAfs_4un8 In this month's episode, I teach you various layers of strategy and how to use strategy tools. What I’d like to do in about 45 minutes to an hour is to give you a sense of what strategy is, what tools we use to develop strategy, and then teach you how to apply these corporate level tools to our day to day lives through developing strategic thinking abilities. So if you take this mini-course, by the end of it, you’ll very clearly learn what strategy is and its various levels such corporate strategy, business strategy, and functional strategies. You will no longer confuse it with tasks or goals, then you will learn about Strategy Canvas with value curves. It’s a tool that will help you see the bigger picture, help you with the positioning of your offerings and hence develop strategies to become… unique. And while I am teaching you these, I’ll run so many case studies to make it crystal clear for you. Then finally, the second half of the video will be the most useful part to you. Because in reality, you are probably not the strategy manager or the CEO of a large multinational company, you are probably not Coca Cola’s Chairman, so what I did at the 2nd half of the video is to customize strategy development so it can be applicable to your day to day lives. You will learn how to develop a strategic thinking that will apply to your work, apply to your family life, your school, in simple terms; your life. You’ll be a smarter person, because you’ll be more strategic in your thinking, you’ll have more success because you’ll be able to identify more opportunities, you’ll fail less because you’ll be able to identify risks even before they become apparent. And I’ll try my best to do the impossible and cover everything under 1 hour and make it super easy to understand. I’ll try but let’s see if I’ll succeed. So, what is strategy; Strategy is a word that gets used a lot and often in a wrong context. Most people confuse it with goals. Essentially, strategy is a roadmap to how we are going to win. Where you are is your “as-is” state, and where you want to go is your “to-be” state. How you are going to bridge that gap is your strategy. So, if I was to teach strategy to my children I’d say, you wanna reach the finish line first. You may walk straight to the finish line at 5 kms per hour, Or you may extend your route, take more time as you have to travel more distance, but collect the speed boost on the way so you go faster at the end at around 20 km per hour. Collecting that speed boost to win would be your strategy. now let’s get back to the adult world, in business, we have 3 major layers of strategy; We have Corporate Strategy We have Business Strategy And we have Functional strategy So, let’s start with corporate strategy;

How To Create A Content Strategy For Your Content Marketing

09:42
Creating a content marketing strategy can be an incredibly difficult process, especially if you’re unsure of you you’re targeting, or what you’re trying to achieve. An effective content strategy is an invaluable resource, helping to structure and drive your content campaign. In this video, James explains everything you need to know about creating a winning content marketing strategy, and how you can go about putting together a plan that works for your business. Target Audience Firstly, James explains the importance of understanding your target audience. Whilst there are countless methods of targeting the right audience, a few highlights James includes are creating buyer personas and utilising data from Google Analytics. You can use tools like YouGov Profiler: https://yougov.co.uk/profiler#/ to gain a clearer view of your audience’s interests, likes and habits, and apply this information to different stages throughout your buying cycle. You can also pull audience reports from Google Analytics, which provide valuable key demographic data, including location and the sites your audience are also visiting. Building Goals Now you understand who it is you’re going to be aiming your content towards, you can formulate worthwhile goals and objectives for your content marketing campaign. These goals will vary depending on your own business values and marketing plans, as well who you’re trying to reach with your work. Your content marketing goals could be targeted towards gaining more followers, increasing traffic, boosting social shares or driving conversions; it will all depend on your business’ needs. Whichever goal you select, you’ll then need to formulate objectives to help you achieve them. You goal is what you’re aiming for; your objective is how you’ll get there. The video above contains plenty of information on relevant objectives which you can set to help you achieve the goals you’ve set. Social Media James also explains the importance of establishing social profiles on popular social media platforms, in order to further build your brand, and boost your content promotion efforts. During this process, it’s also worthwhile searching for industry relevant websites, such as forums and blogs, which will allow you to gain an overview of current attitudes, opinions and issues related to your business. By engaging with key users and influencers on social and sites such as these, you can begin to build a loyal group of followers with an active interest in your brand. Content Audit Before you begin creating a new plan, it’s necessary to take a look back, and carry out an in depth content audit to determine what has worked, and what has failed, in the past. As part of this, you’ll also want to carry out a competitor content analysis on three or four of your key competitors, in order to get a better idea of what your competition are doing to gain traction. Details on how to perform both these audits are revealed at length in the video above, where James also explains how you can use tools like Google Trends https://www.google.com/trends/ and Google Analytics to get a better understanding of your previous campaigns. These techniques should provide you with enough information to formulate new ideas. Editorial Calendar An editorial calendar is paramount to your campaign’s success. It will allow you to plot what should be created when, and give you a better idea of the activities you need to carry out to stay relevant and up to date. Promotion and Measurement Finally, James explains how you can successfully promote your content using the contacts you’ve established, and measure this success against the goals you’ve set. All too often companies spend precious time laying out long term strategic plans, only to discover that their maps are out of date in a month. Business strategy expert Martin Reeves offers a solution. He advocates transitioning from relying on a single "classical" approach to strategy and moving towards a more tailored approach to strategy and execution, selecting from 5 distinct patterns of success. Martin leads The Strategy Institute, BCG’s vehicle for exploring ideas from beyond the world of business, which have implications for business strategy. Current research themes include meta-strategy, evidence-based transformation, corporate longevity and strategies of sustainability. Martin joined BCG in London in 1989 and later moved to Tokyo, where he led the Japan health care practice for eight years and was responsible for BCG’s business with Western clients. He has led strategy assignments in healthcare, consumer goods, financial services, and industrial goods in Japan, the US, and Europe. He has authored numerous articles on strategy, a book on “Adaptive Advantage” and another – “Your Strategy Needs a Strategy” – will be published by Harvard Business Press in Spring 2015. About the TED Institute: We know that innovative ideas and fresh approaches to challenging problems can be discovered inside visionary companies around the world. Marketing Strategy Case Studies: The Starbucks Experience

02:56
http://www.tvchoice.uk.com - 27 mins, 2015 Key Topics Marketing Strategy Retailing Corporate Social Responsibility Globalisation Starbucks is the essential success story of the American capitalist dream. From humble beginnings in 1971 as a Seattle coffee store, it’s become a multinational with over 21,000 outlets in 63 countries. Its brand is universally known. HOW DID THEY DO IT? Starbucks’ success owes a lot to the vision of its guiding light, CEO Howard Schultz, who preaches an almost evangelical brand of caring capitalism, at the same time focusing relentlessly on the customer experience. Acquisition, brand-stretching, social media, and new channel development have all played a part. They put a lot of stress on caring for their staff and the in-store atmosphere. They want customers to feel it’s “their Starbucks”. GOOD CITIZEN? CEO Howard Schultz talks about creating “a philosophically different business” but is it really? Critics point to low pay and scheduling pressures for staff, tax avoidance and, above all, the pittance developing world farmers receive for the coffee beans. The Best Pricing Strategy - The Apple Way

03:29
Please Subscribe here https://goo.gl/6mVLxs to have more videos on business, entrepreneurship, motivation, personal development and success strategy. Setting the right price for a product or a service can be very challenging especially for new entrepreneurs. This is because it can be quite confusing to understand how pricing really works in the market. For example, which of these two products would you buy, the first one is priced at $800 and the second product with the same functions and usage is priced only at $4? Obviously, most of us would choose the $4 product, right? Yes and no. It all depends on 2 important factors which I am going to explain more in this video. If you say yes then why is it that a 256GB iPhone 7 which is priced at $849 is more in demand than a Freedom 251 smartphone which is priced only at $4 a piece? If you say no then why is it that most of us would choose to get a $1 mineral water than the one that is priced at $200 a bottle? So how much should you price your product then? Well, there’s no one right answer to this question because there are so many things that you need to consider such as your overall business goals, how you plan to position your product in the market, your market niche, the costs to produce your products, your product category, and your overall operational costs, just to name a few. Is there a simpler way to do this? Of course, there is, just make sure you know your product category and your positioning strategy. Let me explain. Basically, your product will fall into either one of these two big categories. One is a generic product which can be divided into convenience and shopping products. Convenience products refer to our day to day products such as food, drinks, household products, and so forth whereas shopping products refer to products like clothing, shoes, furniture, and electrical appliances. The second product category is specialty products such as exclusive clothing lines, luxury cars, branded items such as branded bags, watches, shoes, and perfumes. If it is categorised as a generic product just use cost plus profit pricing strategy. Which means, you set your price by adding up the total costs to produce one unit plus the profit you want to make for every product sold. This usually works just fine because almost all generic products are priced this way. But if your product is a specialty product, you need to decide on how you want to position it in the market, more specifically how do you want to position it in the mind of your customers and you can set whatever price you want. The most important thing that you must remember here is this, the moment you enter the market with your product positioning and pricing strategy, it will stay in there forever and, to reposition it later on in the future is almost impossible. For example, Freedom 251 smartphone is positioned as the cheapest and most affordable smartphone in the world and to reposition it just like an iPhone is near to impossible task. Therefore, how should you price your products and services? Decide on your product category and on how do you want to position it in your market. pricing strategies | pricing strategies in marketing | competitive pricing strategy | marketing pricing strategies | pricing methods | business pricing strategies | pricing strategy examples | Follow me on twitter https://twitter.com/moslemanoar Connect with me on linkedin https://my.linkedin.com/in/moslem Follow me on my blog http://moslemanoar.com/ Connect with me on facebook https://www.facebook.com/moslemanoarpage Connect with me on skype moslemanoar
