Supply and Demand: Crash Course Economics #4

10:22
In which Adriene Hill and Jacob Clifford teach you about one of the fundamental economic ideas, supply and demand. What is supply and demand? Well, you’ll have to watch the video to really understand it, but it’s kind of important for everything economically. Supply and demand sets prices, and indicates to manufacturers how much to produce. Also, it has a lot to do with strawberries. Crash Course is on Patreon! 4. How To Identify Stock Market Direction (Trends) Part 1

06:25
Want to learn how to gauge the future price of your stock? Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0wL0McpX-l0 Visit: https://www.learnapp.co ------------------------------------------------------- Learn To Trade - How MarketScientist works: http://marketscientist.in/how-marketscientist-works-faqs/ MarketScientist Courses: http://marketscientist.in/courses/ Follow Prateek's Trading day @ mentor posts : http://marketscientist.in/category/prateek-singh-s-analysistrades-resident-marketscientist/ ------------------------------------------------------------------ Transcript market direction is actually referred to in the technical world as "trends" So a stock moving upwards, is in an uptrend And a stock moving downwards is in a downtrend sometimes stocks reach in a no trade zone or a sideways and this happens because as soon as markets go up it forces a situation of supply and when markets fall down it forces a situation of demand coming in. This was seen in the earlier half of December 2012 on the nifty hourly charts. Lets move on, when we use concepts of supply and demand over long periods of time you must realise that psychology exists on all timeframes, Except of course in tick-charts; wherever you have good volume, markets will always behave in the same way if your concept is technically sound. So let's see how you can become your own amateur financial analyst, determining whether your stock that you are stuck in or making a profit, might continue to move up or might continue to move down. Si the first thing we are going to learn is about a rally and a decline A rally and decline are seen on a per bar basis, meaning we look at one bar and then the next. Simply put a rally is an upmove A Decline is simply a down move They together form something more important, which we will discuss later lets look at a rally first, So this is one bar this isn't enough information, the next bar breaks the previous bars high and this continues to happen Now you will notice that every bar is breaking the previous bars high and its also having a higher low. This means the market is in rally mode. Also remember in a real market situation this may not happen consecutively but a general move up is still considered a rally. A decline is just the opposite, and I'm sure intuitively u have understood what I'm about to draw here. So the market falling down each consecutive bar breaking the previous bars low and making a lower low every bar So that's very simple, here is another rally, which makes a new high and here is another decline. so now that we have that, you can see that we have formed a wave structure, markets will always move in waves, markets will never plunge down or move up unless it's an erratic day or days. Over general long periods of time, markets will always move in waves and this is very healthy. So now that we have understood a rally and decline let's move on to swing highs and a swing low. Simply put the meeting point of a rally an upmove and the immediate decline; this tent, mountain or this peak is called a swing high. the opposite of this is a swing low, meaning the meeting point of a decline and the immediate rally is a swing low. Now trends are made up of swing highs and lows, people call these by different names but all technicals follow this because a swing high is a naturally place of resistance, it basically means that the markets rallied hit a supply point, either buying diminished of too much selling happened and we fell, now the longer time frame between a swing high is untouched the more important it becomes. At MarketScientist we follow trend following methods/systems, so awhat we discuss in this video and the next is extremely important, if you don't understand please rewind or you can ask questions by emailing us or writing it in the comments below. Here is a real example of a chart, this chart belongs to nifty and it is basically in downtrend, but what we have to look now is the swing highs and swing lows. I want you to take am moment and try to find the latest swing highs u can see here I'm helping you a bit and marking all of the swing highs on this chart. I've marked them with green circles. Next step is to identify swing lows, now before we proceed I want you to pause and take your time and look at the swing highs and know that you have understood this. We are basically looking for peaks (swing highs) and crests (swing lows). I'm marking the first the swing lows for you and I want you to mark the resting your head or write it down somewhere. Pause this video and find out all the swing lows, we will meet in the next video with the answers.... I'll be waiting for you then.

Konyaspor v Besiktas - Match Odds Market - Betting Exchange Trading with Betfile.com

07:44
Trading in the match odds market on Betfair. My point about the draw is that if it stays 0-0 for a while, then you can lay off your draw profit at a short price - for extra profit / reduction in liability on each team. I have alluded to this in other videos... If a goal goes in you can then reinstate the draw profit if you like but at a bigger price - so it costs you less. It's only one strategy. E.g. You may prefer to keep the draw on your side, just back the team you like and forget covering the draw, take the draw down to 'zero' profit / loss almost immediately or some other combination depending on how you think the game is going. Apologies for the sound quality and my talking too fast! Had a few things / matches going on at once!

Market Forces -- can telcos grab their share of a cloud services market?

05:49
Introduced and Chaired by: Jeremiah Caron, Senior Vice President - Analysis, Current Analysis OTT operators' more nimble business model was already a hot issue by 2007. The cry has been that telcos must "find new business models" to save them from being "dumb pipe operators". Easier said than done -- until 2012 when the Cloud began opening up endless possibilities for new ways of doing business. But it was still not telcos driving cloud services, but organisations like Apple, AWS, Google and Microsoft Azure -- accounting for over 40% of Ethernet ports shipped worldwide. Telcos bear the CapEx burden, but they do still have the edge in terms of infrastructure and an established customer base. So, should they leverage their advantage and try for a competitive role, or is it time to stop asking what opportunities today's Cloud can offer and start looking for ways to shape tomorrow's Cloud as an environment offering limitless opportunities for all?... Co-operation between a comprehensive range of stakeholders across the industry has built a $50 billion Carrier Ethernet services market -- could a similar approach drive tomorrow's $200 billion (and growing) Cloud services market? Panellists: Jeff Schmitz, Chairman, CloudEthernet Forum; Said Ouissal, Vice President, Junos & Product Portfolio Management, Juniper Networks; Kevin Vachon, Chief Operating Officer, MEF; Dr Hongwen Zhang, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Wedge Networks

The Stock Market Wants To MAKE A MOVE This Week – What Happened In The Markets Today & Stock News

05:58
The stock market did a lot today, but seemingly not much from an index point of view! Nonetheless, the key is seeing what made the markets today and what that is telling us for the rest of the week. With the March fed meeting coming up, markets will hang around till acted upon by a greater force. As some of the market moves hinted today, those greater forces will be either the China trade deal, Trump UK tariffs and then individual developments from stocks like Boeing, Facebook & Google. Regardless though, the market is setting up for something, however expectations need to be controlled this week coming into the fed decision. Frank Holmes Interview | Forces Moving Gold Market | Money Metals Exchange

17:29
Coming up we'll hear from top resource analyst and fund manager Frank Holmes of U.S. Global Investors. Frank discusses what it's going to take to get the metals moving again, and why gold and silver continue to have a tough time. Don't miss my interview with Frank Holmes coming up after this week's market update. Well, as the U.S. dollar and stock market continued to rally this week, technical selling in the precious metals markets accelerated. Gold and silver markets broke near-term support levels last week, begetting some momentum selling that carried over in a big way this week. Selling on Thursday brought gold prices down near $1,100 an ounce. The $1,100 level managed to hold through Thursday's close, with gold prices finishing slightly above it, but that level has given way today. As of this Friday morning recording, gold now trades at $1,088 an ounce, registering a weekly loss of 4.8%. Turning to silver, spot prices tested the $15.00 level on Thursday. After dipping below it by a few cents during the trading day, the market managed to close with spot silver right at $15.00 per ounce. But like gold, the white metal hasn't been able to hold above its key level and it now has a 14-handle. Silver prices currently come in at $14.80, a decline of 5.1% on the week. Stop Loss: What is its Purpose?

Trade with zero comissions, no transaction fees and the tightest spreads: https://capitalcom.onelink.me/700515151/youtube In this video we'll explain why trading without a Stop Loss is not recommended. Subscribe to our channel for more trading education https://goo.gl/RnrWkD Capital.com's Trading Strategist David Jones joins us to explain the trading bias behind not using a stop loss. The purpose of a stop loss is to manage the risk levels of a single trade and of your account in general. Many traders think that stop loss hunting and evil market forces are at play and choose not using stop losses. However this aggressive no stop loss forex trading strategy doesn't provide protection to traders from sharp moves in both directions. Markets can move quickly in both directions when a surprising news event comes out, or during the times when traders aren't on their screens and can't monitor their open positions. In these cases, a stop loss can be invaluable in protecting from unexpected price drops and spikes that can wipe out an entire account within minutes. The Johannesburg stock exchange is the most well-known exchange in South Africa, with trillions of dollars in market capitalisation. But there are new entrants to the stock exchange game. Today we will be speaking to two of them to gain more insight into how they contribute towards the economy, how they deepen capital markets and how ordinary South Africans can get involved. Blockchain, Bitcoin, Ethereum, & the Explosive Growth of Cryptocurrencies with Andrew Keys

55:31
Subscribe to Hidden Forces Here: https://www.hiddenforces.io/ In this Market Forces segment, Demetri Kofinas covers the latest blockchain news with Andrew Keys of Ethereum focused Consensus Systems. While most are undoubtedly glued to the bitcoin cash news that rocked the cryptocurrency industry yesterday (August 1) regarding Bitcoin’s first “hard-fork,” Andrew continues to focus on the bigger picture at hand. As fascinating as Bitcoin has been and continues to be, particularly as the technology flag-bearer for its novel blockchain technology, Andrew’s attention has been on what he believes is the true technological panacea for everything from payment processing, contract transfers, application creation – even the future of the internet as we know it. Hence, his role spear heading business development for Consensus Systems. Building on the innovation, adoption, and possibilities of Bitcoin, Andrew has immersed himself over the last several years, diving head first into what many people are calling Bitcoin 2.0 – otherwise known as Ethereum. Andrew turned an opportune meeting with the founder of Consensus Systems and co-creator of Ethereum, Joseph Lubin, into a role that has quickly evolved into Andrew sitting center stage as one of the world’s go-to business ambassadors of blockchain technology and the highly advanced Ethereum protocol. Andrew has been invited to all ends of the world to explain blockchain technology and Ethereum to industry titans in the worlds of finance and technology. Just this year alone, Andrew traveled to and spoke at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland and the Global Blockchain Financial Summit in Hangzhou, China, meeting with executives at JPMorgan Chase, Microsoft, and IBM as well as top government officials from around the world. Today, he is here with us to discuss blockchain technology, Bitcoin, Ethereum, and the explosive growth of the cryptocurrency industry – where it’s been, what it looks like today – and how it has the potential to shape all of our futures. "This is ultimately about the move away from a centralized system for organizing society towards a decentralized one that is more appropriate for the technological present," says Demetri Kofinas. Indeed, the question of centralization versus decentralization is central to the framework of blockchain technology. It also speaks to the challenges of scaling the network, which was the central concern of the bitcoin mining community that initiated the recent "hard-fork" in order to create bitcoin cash. For all of recorded history, human beings have achieved scale through a bureaucracy. Empires, nation states, corporations, etc., are all built upon layers of authority and thickets of bureaucracy. Blockchain manages to overcome this by shifting the burden of validation from the center to the periphery. In other words, no central authority is required in order to approve any transaction or mediate any dispute among users of the blockchain protocol. There is no need for third-party verification (TPV). This process is achieved through consensus. Instead of requiring the use of digital right's management software in order to manage ownership rights over music, for example, users can rely on the Ethereum's blockchain network. Rather than require a central clearing house or exchange to validate a debit or credit, you can use Bitcoin to transfer value directly from one party to another. Again, there is no need for third-party verification. The two discuss issues of security and the problem of energy consumption. They also contemplate the role of Wall Street in the cryptocurrency space, specifically its use of the Ethereum blockchain. They look at the role of government, regulations, and the adoption of blockchain technology by nations around the world. Andrew also gives his take on blockchain, and specifically Ethereum’s ability to create an entirely new Internet, built on the Ethereum blockchain. If you have been looking for a great resource for explaining "what is Ethereum" or "what is blockchain," then you have come to the right place. One of Andrew Keys' main tasks as head of Global Business Development for Consensus Systems is to help educate potential users of this technology on how it all works. You won't be disappointed. Betting Exchange Trading in Match Odds Market - Ludogorets v AC Milan - Europa League

04:06
Nothing spectacular here. I'm generally cautious in Europa League matches. I run through some of my pre-match thoughts. In the end I don't really get involved. AC Milan just weren't as dominant as I thought they would be in the first half but perhaps I should have been more aggressive based on the Ludogorets price alone - which I felt was short - especially considering that they hadn't played a competitive game (friendlies only) since mid December 2017 due to the Bulgarian First League structure. Anyway if you're not sure, then don't trade, there's always another game! Apologies for abrupt end to video. (Final Score: Ludogorets 0 AC Milan 3).
