System Design: What are Messaging Queues?

09:59
Messaging Queues are widely use in asynchronous systems. Message processing in an asynchronous fashion allows the client to relieve itself from waiting for a task to complete and, hence, can do other jobs during that time. It also allows a server to process it's jobs in the order it wants to. Messaging Queues provide useful features such as persistence, routing and task management. We will be discussing the benefits of a message queue in future videos. A system having a message queue can move to higher level requirements while abstracting implementation details of message delivery and event handling to the messaging queue. The 'queue' is just a name for this data structure. In practice, it could be storing messages using any policy. Some examples of message queues are Kafka and RabbitMQ. They are widely used for various purposes such as command query request segregation (CQRS) and event sourcing. RabitMq Direct Exchange creation and configuration

05:17
A direct exchange delivers messages to queues based on a message routing key. The routing key is a message attribute added into the message header by the producer. The routing key can be seen as an "address" that the exchange is using to decide how to route the message. A message goes to the queue(s) whose binding key exactly matches the routing key of the message. The direct exchange type is useful when you would like to distinguish messages published to the same exchange using a simple string identifier. The default exchange AMQP brokers must provide for the direct exchange is "amq.direct".

Microsoft Exchange 2016 - Receive Connector

07:35
Learn about Receive connectors in Exchange 2016, and how they control mail flow into your Exchange organization. Exchange 2016 servers use Receive connectors to control inbound SMTP connections from: Messaging servers that are external to the Exchange organization. Services in the transport pipeline on the local Exchange server or on remote Exchange servers. Email clients that need to use authenticated SMTP to send messages. You can create Receive connectors in the Transport service on Mailbox servers, the Front End Transport service on Mailbox servers, and on Edge Transport servers. By default, the Receive connectors that are required for inbound mail flow are created automatically when you install an Exchange 2016 Mailbox server, and when you subscribe an Edge Transport server to your Exchange organization

Persistent message queues with Tarantool/Box by Konstantin Osipvov

35:07
NoSQL matters Conference in Cologne, Germany 2013 - Persistent message queues with Tarantool/Box by Konstantin Osipvov- http://2013.nosql-matters.org/cgn/ Tarantool/Box is an open-source, persistent, transactional in-memory database with rich support of Lua as a stored procedures and extensions language. In the diverse world of NoSQL, Tarantool/Box owns a niche of a database efficiently running important parts of Web application logic, thus smartly enabling Web application to scale. In this talk I'll present several new use cases in which Tarantool/Box plays a special role, and our new features implemented to support them. In particular, I'll explore the problem of persistent transactional message queues and the role they play in highly available software. I will demonstrate how Tarantool/Box can be used as a reliable message queue server, but customized with parts of application-specific logic. I'll show-case Tarantool/Box features, designed to support message queues: - inter- stored procedure communication channels, to effectively exchange messages between task producers and consumers - triggers, fired upon system events, such as connect or disconnect, and their usage in an efficient queue implementation - new database index types: bitmap, partial and functional indexes, necessary to implement very large queues with minimal memory footprint. How to manage the mail queue in WHM - WHM Service Tutorials

02:30
How to manage the mail queue in WHM • When an e-mail is undeliverable, it can get stuck in the queue. Occasionally, struck messages can cause all the messages on the server to get in the queue which in turn results in no mail can be sent from the server. • Go to Email-Main Queue Manager. • Exim Mail Queue will appear. Each message shows the size and time spent in the queue. • Delete a message or deliver now are the two options available. You can also Attempt to Deliver all messages in the Queue with the link of the same name. • To check out an individual message, click on the message. All the details are shown. Click on Deliver Message Now to attempt delivery again. The error still remains. Click on Return to Mail Queue. The message is no longer in the queue but it has been replaced with a new error e-mail to the sender. • When every effort fails, click on Delete all messages in Queue. Confirm by clicking on Delete All. • The messages are thus removed from the queue.
