Car for the first few miles cannot be put under any pressure once in top gear otherwise gearbox wil bang sometimes violently into a lower gear andthe the gearbox warning light will cime on. The engine then has to be stopped and restarted to clear the fault and for it to go up through the gears normally. This can happen several times untill the gearbox oil has warmed up, as if there is too much pressure when the oil is cold.

Cougar Helicopters Flight 91 - ATC Recording [MAIN GEARBOX MALFUNCTION]

Note(s): Unless otherwise indicated, all times are set in local time, based on a 12-hour clock. Aircraft Accident/Incident Overview: The accident aircraft was a Sikorsky S-92A which first flew in 2006. The accident aircraft, operated under Cougar Helicopters, was registered as "C-GZCH" and was equipped with twin GE CT7-8A turboshaft engine(s). At the time of the accident, the aircraft was 3 years old. Air Accident/Incident Overview: On the 12th of March, 2009, Cougar Helicopters Flight 91 was departed at 9:17 AM for its regular scheduled shuttle flight from St. John's International Airport in in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada servicing the SeaRose FPSO. The flight was carrying 16 passengers and 2 crew members. 13 minutes into the flight, at 9:45 AM after leveling off at its assigned altitude of 9,000 feet, a main gear box oil pressure light warning illuminated in the cockpit. The flight crew declared an emergency, and asked for an immediate return back to St John's International Airport. The pilots descended and leveled off the aircraft at 800 feet. At this point, the aircraft was roughly 100 kilometers away from the airfield. The pilots started to configure the aircraft the landing. 64 kilometers from the airport, at 9:55 AM, the flight crew reported that they were going to ditch the aircraft. Shortly after wards, the aircraft struck the water at low speeds, but at a high rate of descent. When the aircraft struck the water, the fuselage was destroyed and it sank immediately. 17 of the passengers, including both pilots died of drowning, with only 1 passenger surviving. Investigative Overview: The Transportation Safety Board (TSB) of Canada identified 16 separate factors that contributed to the crash. In summary, the final report highlights that deficiencies with the design of the helicopter, its regulatory approval, training materials, maintenance work done by Cougar, on-board safety equipment and crew actions was responsible for the crash. They're a very close relative of the Daihatsu MCM's Marty is a big fan of. The car in their Kei To The City film (and Marty's later conversion project) share much of this car's DNA. "Didn't Regular Car Reviews drive one of these?" - Yes! On the RCR UK trip, they drove an almost identical UK-spec Cuore Avanzato. I actually met the owner at the RCR UK meetup. It's actually my Suzuki Cappuccino that they mention in the video about the meet. "What does Cuore Avanzato even mean, anyway?" - It's Italian, actually. "Cuore" means "Heart", and "Avanzato" means "Advanced". "Is it a kei car?" - Yes, it meets the kei car regulations, though whether it "counts", being a UK car, is an interesting question. "Is it JDM?" - No, it's a UK model, there are some subtle differences/modifications for the UK market, though nothing earth shattering. "Did they really only make 80 of them?" - Of the UK road car version, yes, give or take a couple, plus there were about 20 rally-prepared ones. The Japanese equivalent is far more common. "Is it a 3 cylinder engine?" - No, it's a 4 cylinder, the Daihatsu JB-JL 16v engine, though it meets the same 660cc capacity limit for kei cars that the three cylinders used elsewhere do. "Is it turbocharged?" - Yes, with a small top-mount intercooler. "How does the AWD work?" - There is a selectable drive to the rear coming off the gearbox, with a viscous coupling between the rear differential and the propshaft to allow for the difference in wheel speeds when cornering. "How much does it weigh?" - 768kg, per the UK original specification sheet. "Where can I get one?" - To be perfectly honest, it's a lot easier to find a JDM one as an import than a UK car, but if you keep an eye on Ebay and forums, one might come up. "Is it for sale?" - I'm afraid not, no. When your old transmission failed, it probably sent a bunch of gunk right into your transmission cooler. Before you run your new transmission it's a very good idea to get all of that gunk out of there. It's a simple procedure that can save that shiny new transmission you just installed. In addition to that, if you have a Honda like I do, it's an even better idea to install a new in line filter into the system. This will ensure that your new transmission lasts a good long time. In this video we flush the transmission cooler and install a new filter into my 2001 Honda Odyssey. After all I've been through with this van lately, it's great piece of mind. Hydraulic pressure is the most critical parameter which determines the efficiency of hydraulic machinery. The MRV -- main relief valve controllers the hydraulic pressure. The main relief valve is set to protect the hydraulic pump from back pressure. It is set at a particular pressure which the hydraulic pump can hold. If more back pressure comes in, it opens up to release it. So it very critical to set the MRV pressure at the exact recommended level. If it set above the recommended level. The back pressure will hit the hydraulic pump, resulting in its failure. If it is set below the recommended level MRV opens up and releases the pressure, resulting in less efficiency of hydraulic machinery (the load bearing capacity reduces). Process of checking Hydraulic pressure: In most of the construction equipments. The pressure check point is located at the loader valve block near the main relief valve. We remove the adapter from the pressure check point and connect the pressure gauge hose to this point. Now we start the machine and load it to the maximum extend. This will show the pressure set at the MRV because when we load the machine to the maximum limit the MRV opens. This will provide us the MRV opening pressure at the pressure gauge as shown in the video. The engine oil pump features seven vanes and a moving element that continuously adjusts to maintain a regulated oil pressure supply by varying the displacement of the pump. The pump has two regulated pressure stages of operation controlled by an on/off solenoid. Low pressure mode regulation (solenoid on) is approximately 200 kPa (29 psi) and high pressure mode regulation (solenoid off) is approximately 450 kPa (65 psi). The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) switches the pump between stages based on engine operating conditions, oil and coolant temperatures, speed and load. Under most typical conditions, the pump will run in low mode from idle up to around 3000 RPM and switch from low to high mode between 3000 and 4000 RPM. The maximum oil pressure in the engine is limited to 1000 kPa (145 psi) by the relief valve. Pressure in the main oil galley of the engine can be monitored with diagnostic equipment through the oil pressure sensor. The minimum pressure for the engine is 41 kPa (6 psi) at any operating condition. Anything under this pressure could result in damage to critical moving parts.

2006 vw gti 2.0l turbo, customer concern is a check engine light, no apparent drivability concerns or complaints, p2293 fuel psi reg performance (lower limit reached) fault stored, although the fault stored states that it is intermittent, it is a very common issue on this engine for the cam follower to wear (due to low oil level or lack of maintenance) and cause the high pressure fuel pump shaft to wear into the camshaft lobe that drives the pump which in turn will cause a lowfuel pressure issue under certain conditions (under load), this video shows an easy way to check fuel pressures using a scantool (mvbs 103 and 106), and (N276) fuel pressure regulator control using a low amp probe. you must be safe and careful when dealing with GDI systems, high amperage, voltage and fuel pressures safety glasses are a must! hope you enjoy.

All CVTs have one weak spot, the contact point. This is where there is a tendency for the whole transmission to slip, grind and sustain damage. Incredibly enough, this is not where CVTs fail the most, but more on that later. The CVT belt is composed of two groups of metal rings, each of 7 to 12 rings, and a few hundred special metal links. It is these links the ones with direct contact with the cone pulleys, or variators as they're called by the manufacturer. For good clamping force, the CVT needs a specific transmission fluid. To neglect this fact is to ask for trouble, as the CVT will get damaged due to slipping and grinding between the belt links and the cones. There's also another aspect of the CVT clamping force that needs to be reviewed, which is the hydraulic pressure exerted on the cone pulleys or variator. The CVT oil or hydraulic pump can generate as much as 1000 PSI of pressure. but not everything in the CVT needs this much pressure. Because 800 or more PSI is more than most circuits need, line pressure is regulated down to three lower levels, 220 PSI maximum for the clutches and variator, 140 PSI for the TCC, or torque converter, and 80 PSI for the lube and cooler circuits.
