20+ Psychology Tricks to Read Anyone Like a Book
We get over 55% of information through nonverbal communication, like facial expressions, gestures, and other body movements. Pay attention to the signals that other people send without even realizing it. You’ve probably wondered how convenient life would be if you could read other people's minds. Some people use their intuition for this, but if you’re not so perceptive, there’s only one choice left: learning to read people's body language. TIMESTAMPS Closing their eyes 0:45 Covering their mouth 1:00 Chewing on their glasses 1:26 “Presenting” their face 1:52 Rubbing their chin 2:16 Crossed arms 2:34 Fixing their posture 3:02 Leaning forward 3:22 Leaning back 3:50 Swinging from their heels to their toes 4:14 Rubbing their hands 4:37 The "glove" handshake 4:59 A handshake with the palm facing the floor vs ceiling 5:29 Cupping someone’s hands during a handshake 5:57 A handshake with a touch 6:25 Fixing their tie 7:09 Collecting imaginary lint 7:30 Putting their feet on the desk 7:50 Mounting a chair like a horse 8:11 Playing with their shoe 8:35 Eye contact 8:57 Avoiding eye contact 9:34 Unbroken staring 9:50 A lot of blinking 10:16 SUMMARY - If a person is talking to you and closing their eyes, you should know that they’re trying to hide from the outside world. - A few fingers, a palm, or even a fist near the mouth helps us hold back the words we don't want to let out. - If you see someone chewing on the earpieces of their glasses, try having a heart-to-heart with them and cheering them up. They’re definitely subconsciously worried about something. - Crossed arms are a clear sign that a person is not feeling it today. - When a woman wants a man to notice her, she tries to present herself in the best way possible. She straightens her back to emphasize her breasts, and she may also cross her legs. - When people like someone and want to get to know them, they usually lean forward. - If someone sits back in their chair, they’re showing that they’re tired of the conversation and don't want to keep it going. - If a person doesn't swing back and forth but bounces up and down on their toes, it might be a sign that they’re feeling confident. - Rubbing the hands together generally means that a person has a positive feeling about something, and they’re hopeful. - While you’re shaking hands with someone, if that person takes your wrist with their free hand, they’re showing that they’re trustworthy, friendly, and honest. 10 Sure Signs a Guy Likes You
How to Know if a Guy Likes You. When you like someone and you feel like the feeling is mutual, you want to be sure not to embarrass yourself, right? Fortunately, there are some clear signs a guy likes you that clearly tell he has a crush on you, too. Look out for signals that a guy subconsciously sends that can reveal that he's into you. Even his feet can show you he’s interested in you in more than a friendly way. TIMESTAMPS He is nervous around you. 0:40 His body language says so. 1:29 He touches you often. 2:42 He treats you differently. 3:37 He shows a sudden interest in your hobbies. 4:25 He turns up in places you don't expect him to be. 5:19 He constantly asks you questions. 6:01 He remembers everything you told him. 6:46 His friends act a bit strange around you. 7:35 He doesn't use his phone when he hangs out with you. 8:24 Music: Let's Do It . Topher Mohr and Alex Elena https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music SUMMARY -When we talk to our crush, we stutter, do and say awkward things, and act like the weirdest person ever. -A guy in love will be looking at you a lot, watching your every move. He will lean toward you and try to make eye contact as much as possible. Another good indicator is the direction of his feet: if they're pointed toward you, it's a subconscious sign that he may be interested. -Pay attention to how he touches you and how he reacts when you touch him. He may hug you tightly when he sees you or touch your hand — it can be anything. This all hints at the steady possibility that he's into you. -If the guy likes you, he will start to behave protectively toward you and perform gentlemanly and caring moves. -Sudden interest in what you're doing can be a sign that he really likes you. When we fall in love, we pick up our boyfriend or girlfriend's hobbies because we want to know more about them and their world. -If you continuously bump into each other outside of school, work, or any other place you see each other often, it might mean that he's deliberately looking for opportunities to “accidentally” bump into you. -Asking questions shows his interest in you and indicates that he either wants to keep the conversation going or wants to know every single thing there is about you. -If, during a conversation, you often notice that he remembered what you told him a week or 2 days ago, the name of your favorite band, or the fact that you hate olives, that counts for something. -If his friends are smiling or smirking like they know something you don't when they see you, they probably know he likes you. -If a guy doesn’t check his phone when he’s with you, it means that he's interested in your personality and values your conversation and time together. 14 Signs That'll Help You Recognize a Child Kidnapper
How to protect your child from kidnapping? We’ve got 14 kidnappers’ tricks that kidnappers use when interacting with children. Be careful and show this video to your little ones! Every year thousands of kids get abducted all over the world. The kidnappers have all the skills of a good psychologist. They know how to win the kids’ hearts to manipulate their minds perfectly. One of the most common tricks all kidnappers use is asking kids for help. If you feel like things have gone too wild and the hysterics is more than a regular grumpy attack, it won’t hurt to check on them. If you spot a suspicious adult watching kids go up and down the slides or building sand castles – let them know that you know. Some abductors will let the kid play a “demo” game to invite them into the car later to continue. After winning the child’s trust, the villain can say they have to go to the hospital immediately, because “mom is in trouble.” If you ever overhear that kind of conversation between a kid and an adult, take action.Molesters can invite kids to save local heroes: popular celebrities, coaches or school teachers. They don’t even have to invent a fake name for themselves, just say they were sent by that person everyone knows and loves. A driver who is asking a child for directions and invites him or her to get into that car to guide them is 99% a child abductor. When you get lost while driving, you are more likely to ask a policeman or other adults for help, right? The easiest way to win someone’s trust is to pretend to be someone everyone trusts already. A policeman, for example. However, a real police officer will try to find the child’s parents and not just take the little one away. If you confront the obviously fake policeman and he refuses to show his ID, try to take a picture of him. TIMESTAMPS Asking for help 0:37 Crying kid 1:32 Playground observers 2:27 Free stuff 2:56 Puppies trick 3:58 Fake friend 4:37 The hero lure 5:37 Using other kids 6:13 Asking for directions 6:44 Offering a ride 7:14 The fame lure 8:00 Fake policemen 8:36 Sir or Madam 9:22 The looks 9:40 Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music SUMMARY -One of the most common tricks all kidnappers use is asking kids for help. If you ever hear an adult begging for help at a playground, it is a reason to be alarmed. -If you feel like things have gone too wild and the hysterics is more than a regular grumpy attack, it won’t hurt to check on them. Ask the kid and the accompanying adult if everything is alright, and how they all are related. -If you spot a suspicious adult watching kids go up and down the slides or building sand castles – let them know that you know. Take a picture of that stranger. -Kids are very kind and trustful. When offered candy, toys or cool gadgets like smartphones and tablets, they will follow the kind stranger anywhere. -7% of abductors use puppies to win the kid’s attention and trust. -An abductor can do some serious research on the prospective victim and pretend they’re someone they know well. -Molesters can invite kids to save local heroes: popular celebrities, coaches or school teachers. -Sometimes molesters use other kids to win the child’s trust. -A driver who is asking a child for directions and invites him or her to get into that car to guide them is 99% a child abductor. -There were known cases in criminal practice when children were taken away on motorcycles after they were offered a fun ride. -Kidnappers approach kids complimenting their looks and offering easy fame and success. -If you confront the obviously fake policeman and he refuses to show his ID, try to take a picture of him. -If you hear a child call an adult accompanying him or her "Sir" or "Madam," it is a warning sign, as well. -If you see a well-dressed child being taken somewhere by a strangely-looking adult dressed carelessly or even somewhat like a homeless person, do not ignore it. Ep. 86: David Heinemeier Hansson: An Interview With A Real-World SuperLearner
Today we are joined by a real-life superhuman - a man who has risen to prominence in not just one, but two extremely competitive arenas. David Heinemeier Hansson, better known as “DHH,” is a software developer, entrepreneur, and race-car driver from Denmark. He’s most known for his company, Basecamp, and for developing the popular Ruby on Rails web development framework that has taken the world of web development by storm. In 2005, he was recognized as “Hacker of the Year” by Google and O’Reilly. He’s written a slew of books on software development, and 3 very popular books on building and managing software companies: Getting Real, Rework, and Remote. If that weren’t enough, David has also had a meteoric rise to prominence in the world of auto-racing, climbing through the ranks and coming in among the top spots in what many would call record time. In this episode, I wanted to deconstruct David’s thinking process and figure out how he learns so much so effectively. I wanted to understand how he has managed to be so successful in two entirely different worlds, and see what tips he had to offer to anyone looking to live a life as diverse as his. We talk about how he manages his time, but more than that, we take a deep dive and deconstruct his entire learning methodology in depth, flow, habits, happiness, goals, and how David has spent decades deconstructing and analyzing his own performance from every possible angle. Quite honestly, I can say without exaggeration that this is one of the absolute BEST episodes we’ve ever done.

How to use Google Signals and the Cross Device Tracking Reports
his past July Google announced and released an epic new analytics innovation - Google Signals. Read full post - https://www.jeffalytics.com/google-signals-cross-device-reports/ Joins FREE Google Analytics Mini-Course - https://www.analyticscourse.net/ Signals is a built-in Google Analytics (GA) feature that allows you to enable cross-device tracking in your Analytics account, without any manual tracking code adjustments. When Google announced the addition of automatic cross-device tracking to GA, my mind was bit blown. I knew Google had the data to create this feature, but I never imagined that they would share that data with us. Well, they did! And now every Google Analytics admin can add cross-device tracking to their account with just a couple button clicks in their analytics interface. How do we use Google Signals? Google Signals represents some exciting new measurement and tracking possibilities. But as cool as this feature could be, right now it's still a beta. And at the moment, there are some significant glitches in the cross-device reports. There are also a few critical intricacies you should be aware of if you're going to test this feature out. In this video, we’ll look at how to get started using Google Signals. Then we’ll go inside my Google Analytics account, check out the cross-device tracking reports, and learn about how Google Signals works. Is Google Signals available in your Analytics account? When Google Signals first launched, there was a lot of confusion about how to enable this feature. The problem wasn’t that Google Signals is challenging to set up, but rather that it did a brief disappearing act. Disappearing Signals Google introduced Signals at the 2018 Marketing Live presentation. I was so excited about this feature that I wrote about a week after it launched. And I advised everyone to look for Google Signals in their accounts. But when many of readers logged into their GA Accounts, Signals was nowhere to be found. Possibly Google didn't release Signals to every account. Or Google briefly removed it to work out some post-launch problems. I am not sure why Signals vanished for a short period. But this new technology is for real. And by now, the beta version is hopefully available again in your account. Why Google Signals is so innovative There are a few reasons why Google Signals is capable of having a massive impact on the analytics community. Could Signals be the end of manual cross-device tracking installations? Google Signals may be capable of saving us from the complicated and often dysfunctional job of manually configuring cross-device tracking. Before the release of Signals, if you wanted to do cross-device tracking in Google Analytics, you had to implement custom javascript to replace you users’ Google Analytics client ID with your own unique non-personally identifiable user value. Cross-device tracking for everyone! As you may be well aware, implementing custom javascript to setup cross-device tracking is not a job for novice analysts or beginner programmers. This barrier to execution meant that only Google Analytics user with advanced skills, or companies with enough money to hire an adept Google Analytics programmer, could configure cross-device tracking. But the average Google Analytics account owner doesn't have the ability or budget to set up cross-device tracking manually. So those account owners were resigned to relying on data that was inflated by users visiting their site from multiple devices. The release of Google Signals allows all Google Analytics account owners to put cross-device tracking in place. And in turn, Signals should increase the accuracy of everyone's user data. Google has more access and better data than you do Another reason Signals is such a big development is that Google is better suited to match users across their devices than anyone else. Google’s fully integrated domination of the search eco-system puts them in a better position than anyone to identify who we are on any device we use. This means that Google’s cross-device tracking technology is going to (eventually) be more accurate than any custom solution the rest of us can put in place. Where does Google Analytic's cross-device data come from? So what portion of Google’s massive data supply are they sharing with us in our cross-device reports? Google’s documentation states that the data in your cross-device reports originates from the segment of your users that - 1) Are signed into their Google account in their browser 2) And have Ads Personalization turned on in their settings. By default, Ad Personalization is turned on in everyone’s Google account settings. So just about every user that's logged into their Google account can be tracked using Google Signals. Jason Fried & Scott Heiferman: Building Businesses That Last
About this presentation There’s a ton of focus on growing quickly and scaling, but there’s beauty in the long, slow, sustained effort. Scott Heiferman has been running Meetup since 2002 and Jason Fried has been at the helm of Basecamp since 1999. In this 99U Interview, the two accomplished founders discuss the long haul: how do we build businesses that become our life’s work? “Not every business has to be a place where everything is chaotic and everyone’s sweating. Rapid growth and getting big create a lot of tension and turbulence. We’re in this for the slow, long term.” says Fried. Why Work Does not Happen at Work: Jason Fried at TEDxMidwest
Where do you go when you want to get something done? People don't say "the office". Jason Fried takes a provocative look at why people don't do work in the office. His discovery: people trade in the work day for a series of work moments. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

10 Foods to Avoid to Get the Flat Belly You've Dreamed Of
We all want to have a flat stomach, but even with intensive workouts and dieting belly fat remains the most difficult kind to get rid of. The secret that will help you drop some pounds is avoiding certain foods. You most likely know it already, but it won’t hurt going over it again: avoid junk food, fried foods, and ice cream. The more you get, the more you want to satisfy your ever-growing craving. If you’re seriously set on getting rid of belly fat, you really do have to kick the habit of drinking pop and store-bought juices. Even diet soda slows down your metabolism and makes your body store more fat. Speaking of drinks, you’ll also have to say no to alcohol. Some alcoholic beverages are loaded with calories, but it’s not just about the caloric content in certain drinks. Alcohol consumption itself increases your appetite and confuses the part of your brain that’s responsible for that full feeling in your stomach. Along with sugar, salt should also be limited to small amounts, especially if you suffer from high blood pressure. Remember that one tablespoon of mayonnaise has about 100 calories. Another food to avoid is chewing gum. When you chew gum, your brain and stomach get signals that prepare them for an incoming meal. This means that gum triggers the overproduction of stomach acid, which ends up making you feel hungry. Distiguishing Real Signal from Background Noise - Ask TaqMan #41
Are you stuck trying to distinguish real signal from background noise in your qPCR data? A common question about qPCR data is how to distinguish true signal from background noise. Today, we’re going to provide some useful tips on how to tell whether you are looking at real signal or background. Sometimes when you are running qPCR experiments, it can be difficult to distinguish real data from background signal, leaving you to wonder whether your data is real. Here are some parameters to check to determine whether you are looking at background or noise: First, make sure to run No Template controls to compare to your experimental samples. If your sample signal looks similar to your No Template Controls, it’s most likely background. Also, check your replicates. If the Ct value varies among the replicates (ex: 36,37,40), then it is likely not real signal. You can also do a reality check on your Ct values. In general, a single copy detection occurs by a Ct of 37 in a 20 uL qPCR reaction. Any signal seen later than this is not likely to be real amplification. Often, you can easily tell whether you are looking at true signal or noise by looking at your data in the instrument or cloud software. Here’s an example using the Thermo Fisher Cloud Design and Analysis Application. This well is questionable. If we change our plot to the linear view, we can see that this curve is actually flat, and no amplification is occurring. We can see this in the multicomponent view as well. This view shows the curves of each dye in the reaction at each cycle, and is very useful for troubleshooting. In this way, we can check the curves for exponential amplification, which indicates real signal, as opposed to a linear upward drift which can be probe degradation at the end of a run. We can even overlay the wells with our NTC samples, and see that there is not much difference. So we can be confident that those were wells do not represent real signal. Finally, you can also make sure the threshold is going through the exponential phase of the curve. For example, here you see that we have Ct values at 28 and 36, but the curve with the Ct value at 36 is from the plateau, not exponential phase of the curve, so this is not likely real signal. So, the next time you look at your qPCR data, try some of these useful tips to determine whether you are looking at true signal or background noise. If you have more questions on qPCR data analysis or any other qPCR questions, remember to Ask TaqMan and submit your questions on our website www.thermofisher.com/ask Thanks for watching!

Real as it gets! Over the air line level videogate .. With MAX MOD.
Typical "Fine Tuned" Trucker SR 955 HPC and SRA 198 ready to be shipped and live comfortably ever after in a big truck and will sound exactly like this over the air. When you have test equipment and know how to use it, you don't need to ask for radio checks! Click click .. Getting the picture? If they can't show it "like this" then you were mislead and paid too much. Click the "SHOW MORE" button below and learn how to identify the scammers, con artist and golden screwdriver jockeys. Yes, there'll always be disgruntled haters, it's what "they" do best. Often imitated but never duplicated. Real World Performance, not meterbaited. Contact info below. To the point plain and clear why you don't have the watts, range, clarity or reliability. Pay Attention, radios not only transform signals in to waves, they transform waves into sound. Loud, ringy tinny, over modulated spatter box radios are called competition or comp-tuned due to so-called swing kits, mods kits and misalignment's performed by golden screwdriver magicians. Yes, magicians not technicians. This type of loony tunes are useless in the real world. They'll poise a meter at you while making strange vocal sounds into the mic displaying exaggerated numbers and calling it rms, average or bird watts. They don't have a clue what each unit of measurement actually is or even how to derive it but they sure do put on a show !! lol How to recognize .. They ask you to "look at the meter" and claim that a pure waveform on a Oscope and a tuned system test bench isn't necessary. Their "meter show" might look impressive but in the real world these tunes yield far less power, range, clarity, reliability and a noisy distorted receiver. Sound familiar? It's OK, many have fallen for these gimmicks and tricks so don't feel bad. It takes some people 30 years + before the see the light. *** What Most CB And 10 Meter Radio Techs Don't Want You To Know *** Do your due diligence and demand the testing of your equipment on a minimum 100 MHz Oscope, Bird 4314c meter, 1 GHz spectrum analyzer on a tuned system test bench with a "Certification of Calibration". A tuned system test bench is the only accurate way of measuring spurious emissions, harmonics and "true power" in watts @ the fundamental frequency thus replicating real world performance and achieving maximum range, clarity and proven reliability. Deliberately only displaying amps, volts, and watts on a jacked up happy meal meter with a distorted waveform utilizing un-calibrated test equipment is a misrepresentation and an illusion playing on your ignorance while insulting your intelligence! If they cant display or explain ac volts, pep, pk, cw, rms (Ohms Law), capacitance, inductance and the basic principles of a phase shift then how do you expect them to test, tune and align your system ? ?? The Faster Rats *** PAY ATTENTION *** CB Rat Race Beware the con-artist shyster type that only displays one device at a time. He'll show a meter then a scope and maybe a spectrum analyzer but never "everything all at the same time while fully modulating the carrier". Not pointing fingers but I've seen these scams from coast to coast for almost 35 years in truck stops cb shops, YouTube and now in Facebook Groups. Another shady trick is they'll yell into the mic while showing you an exaggerated power output on the meter but then talk softly while displaying a misleading pattern on the scope. Getting the picture? Getting mad? You should be! Make sure exhibited is your equipment fully modulated including the meter, scope and spectrum analyzer "All AT THE SAME TIME" and not just a fabricated picture or photo. A video of everything at the same time is the only way of keeping these "magicians" at bay. Don't let them play Houdini hokus pokus watts on you. Most important, find someone who's competent, has a Service Monitor with a Certification of Calibration and not just a golden screwdriver magician with some test equipment trying to baffle you with their BS and you'll thank me later. Never settle for less because that's what what you'll get, Houdini tricks and Casper the friendly Ghost's hocus pocus watts! Are you picking up what I'm putting down? 10 Meter Radio updates, tunes and comprehensive alignments are my specialty. Talk further and clearer, hear less white noise and further too.
