Without the stark color contrast, your legs will look a little longer. - Pick an accessory that you don’t see every guy around you wearing. This could be a great watch, an understated necklace, or even some novelty socks. - One thing to remember when shopping is to buy some great dark staple pieces like a dark blue or black pair of jeans, a simple black t-shirt, or a nice-fitting black sweater. There’s something really sleek about wearing dark colors, and it’s hard to look cheap in them. - To wear your jacket in fast, spray it with a little water – or, better yet, wear it outside during a light drizzle. - Whether you’re wearing a t-shirt, polo, or dress shirt, tucking it into your pants or jeans instantly dresses up any outfit. - If you have a shirt that feels a little to snug for your liking whenever you button it all the way up, just take the top button off and sew it back on more toward the edge of the fabric. - If you’re on the shorter side, pick a suit jacket with one button so that you can see more of the top of your shirt underneath. This trick elongates your torso. - Before tossing one of these shirts into the wash, turn it inside out. You can do the same with your jeans to keep their color vibrant for longer. - If you’re wearing tennis shoes with a pair of wider jeans that are a little too long on you, it only seems natural to put your pant legs over the top of the shoe. Ooh, but that’s a bad idea if you wanna look stylish! Top 10 Alternative News Sites

09:16
In my opinion, these are the Top 10 Alternative News Sites that are currently available on the web today. I know, I could have added Wikileaks and many others but I decided to keep this list news based. Wikileaks is more content driven and I find that most of the alternative sites promote their valuable content as it applies to top issues of today and do the filtering for you. I know that there are so many more Alternative News Sites that you will all suggest and tell me should be on the list but like I said before, this is the Top 10 Alternative News Sites in my opinion. TOP 10 Alternative News Sites Alternet - http://www.alternet.org/ - An online magazine providing a mix of news, opinion and investigative journalism; a project of the Independent Media Institute. Common Dreams - http://www.commondreams.org/ - A lot of just great stories that will change up your viewpoint on a lot of things! - (US based) "Breaking News & Views for the Progressive Community" member funded. Interpress Service News Agency - http://www.ipsnews.net/ - International, non-profit organization formed of "a network of journalists in more than 100 countries....focuses its news coverage on the events and global processes affecting the economic, social, and political development of peoples and nations" no national or political base and pursues the objectives of balanced geographical, ethnic, and gender representation. Democracy NOW - http://www.democracynow.org/ - I wouldn't be surprised if they were getting their funding from Boeing and Microsoft but DemNow is a good place to learn a lot about the world. - They cover HOT news on a Daily basis via Video. Mother Nature Network - http://www.mnn.com/ - I know what you're thinking. This isn't alternative media. Just because it has a few corporate sponsors and is probably some subsidiary of a megacorp doesn't make it not alternative. mnn is truly an amazing source for information and you can find a lot of useful knowledge here that you just can't find on CNN, NYTimes, Fox, MSNBC, or any other major network. Check it out! The Seluth Journal - http://www.thesleuthjournal.com/ - An excellent alternative news media organization dedicated to uncovering and producing true news and worldwide corruption. - This is one of my favorite alternative news websites. Today's Alternative News - http://www.todaysalternativenews.com/ - Established all the way back in 2000 as one of the original alternative news outlet. Their goal is to give "you perspectives on the news that you will rarely receive from other sources" Before It's News - http://beforeitsnews.com/ - An awesome assortment of updated articles from people around the world! - Easy to find what you're looking for Dr. Mercola - http://www.mercola.com/ - Sure they want to sell you products but here you can find some pretty good health articles! Ben Swann - http://www.benswann.com/ - Ben is a true investigative journalist. - Produces short 5 - 10 minute webcasts on current topics. - He is independent and covers hot topics and is highly informative.

20 good looking news reporters you can't keep your eyes off! Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/9CwQhg For copyright matters please contact us at: [email protected] News anchors are the face of a network. They have to look visually appealing, but that doesn’t always mean that they have to be good looking. If a person can look confident on camera and be really good at digging up the facts, they can get a gig as an anchor. Yet, there are special news anchors out there who can help drive up a news station’s ratings just by gracing our TVs with their presence. Female news anchors are especially good at boosting ratings. Sure, there are male news anchors that can attract viewers too, but women are typically seen as a more valuable asset. Those who find these women attractive usually find it easier to retain the information that's presented to them. In essence, they pay more attention. Huge surprise, right? Well, the media has gotten wind of this amazing formula, and there are thousands of news stations that use certain anchors to boost their ratings. And that's just the science headlines. But despite all the doom and gloom, in reality there are a whole bunch of incredible people doing really good things around the world right now. Sometimes they just don't get as much press as they deserve. So as a much-needed reminder that not everything is ruined, here are some of the awesome things happening in the world right now that you can talk about over dinner tonight (instead of global tension and nuclear weapons). You're welcome.

8 Car Secrets Only Experienced Drivers Know

08:21
Are you one of those drivers who trust their car mechanic fully? Good for you if you’ve found a true professional who takes good care of your vehicle! Unfortunately, not all mechanics are responsible and honest with their customers. There are several things they don't want you to know so that they can take advantage of you when you bring your car in. Other videos you might like: 10 Things You Should Never Do To Your Car (Never Ever!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dh4bs5QOzpY& 8 Things You’re Doing Wrong When Driving Fast https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nen9Vdatpik& 10 Mistakes Lots of People Make When Buying a New Car https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xrxQimKIFSk& TIMESTAMPS: "Your car battery should be replaced!" 0:31 "You need to change the oil as soon as possible!" 1:47 "You need to replace your brake pads right now!" 2:43 "Drop in for a free inspection!" 3:51 "Your car might break down if you don't use these services!" 4:31 "I'll rotate your tires!" 5:03 "Your check engine light is on. You must have a serious problem!" 5:57 "Your car needs special additives to run better!" 7:02 Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ SUMMARY: - The truth is that the biggest problem with the battery comes not from the battery itself but from the wires connected to it. The spots where they're attached to the battery get damaged by corrosion. - Various car experts state that the earliest you should start to worry about an oil change is after driving a minimum of 7,500 miles. - You'll probably agree that no one can ignore the terrible screeching of car brakes. But the most likely cause of these terrible sounds is rust on the brake pads. - Some car service centers attract clients by promising free bumper-to-bumper examinations of their vehicles. After you bring your car in, a mechanic will most likely discover that it has tons of problems — which need to be fixed right away. - Don't fall for the offer of free lifetime muffler replacement! If you agree to this, you'll just end up paying more money in the long run. - Before you drive to the garage, mark the tires with chalk. You can write the letters "RL" on the rear left tire and "FR" on the front right tire. After you get your car back, check where the marks are. - Few people know that the most widespread reason for the check engine light to appear on your dashboard is because your gas cap isn't fastened well enough. - Your mechanic may suggest that you buy additives for the engine, gas tank, or transmission. After you agree, you find out that these additives cost you an arm and a leg! 10 Unique Animals You Won’t Believe Exist

09:42
10 strange and amazing animals that you have probably never heard of. Nature is truly full of surprises! We live in the twenty-first century, and all continents have already been discovered, all secrets of our planet revealed, all mountain peaks conquered. Just when you think you have seen it all, some new bizarre creature makes an appearance instantly restoring your faith in the impossible! TIMESTAMPS Mangalitsa Pig, a.k.a. “a pig in sheep’s clothing” 0:50 Rhinopithecus or golden snub-nosed monkey 1:33 Emperor tamarin 2:13 Patagonian Mara 3:04 Fluffy cow 3:52 Markhor Goat 4:44 Raccoon dog 5:23 Blue Footed Booby 6:25 Malayan Colugo 7:13 Venezuelan Poodle Moth 8:09 BONUS 8:56 SUMMARY - The birthplace of this curly-haired pig is Hungary where it was discovered in the mid-19th century. Due to the fleece covering this animal, it resembles a sheep, therefore, such a name! - The name of this species is roxellana, and there is a story behind it. It is believed that they were called this way after the supposedly snub-nosed courtesan of Suleiman the Magnificent (a 16th century Sultan of the Ottoman Empire). - They were called like this because of the resemblance of their mustache to that of German Emperor Wilhelm II. - Patagonia Mara is the fourth largest rodent on our planet. There are several interesting facts about them. Females often put offsprings into crèches for safety. - Fluffy cows are looked after by people whose work is to wash, dry and use products to style these animals, so they look as fluffy as they do! It is necessary to maintain them daily, and it will take months of regular grooming until they get this lovely look of kids toys. - If you see a creature which looks as if it’s trying to catch an alien radio signal from space, it’s most likely Markhor Goat. They can grow as long as 6 ft from head to tail! - If you can’t decide if you want to have a dog or a raccoon as a pet, we have just the thing for you - raccoon dog! Despite having raccoon-like markings on their fur, they are not very closely related to the North American raccoon. - Blue Footed Booby are to catch your eye if you ever visit the Galapagos Islands. They can look a bit clumsy and comical on land, but they are excellent at flying and swimming. - Colugo has a large gliding membrane (like a flying squirrel), and they can glide for long distances between trees standing far apart. - Even if the Poodle Moth may look as if it lives in Antarctica with all this fur, in fact, it comes from Venezuela, a tropical country. Its hairs don’t serve for heating. BONUS Cloud Antelope! This species lives in the clouds (that’s why such a name)! Its bright blue fur is the reflection of cloudless blue skies in the area of its habitat. Its diet consists of sun rays and candies... 15 Recent Science Discoveries You Wont Believe

08:39
15 amazing recent discoveries in the world of science and here they are from bionic contact lenses to reanimating dinosaur dna! Subscribe to Talltanic http://goo.gl/wgfvrr 7. New Human Species Biologists all over the world were intrigued upon hearing the 2015 discovery of a new species of human, Homo Naledi, allowing for an ever clearer picture of our ancient ancestry. The findings were unveiled deep in an underground cave in South Africa and is considered one of the greatest collection of human remains ever unearthed. So far, it is known that this species of human grew to an average height of 5 feet and had a brain no larger than an orange. The way the bones in the South African cave were arranged suggests that these human ancestors ritualistically buried their dead, giving scientists a glimpse into our cultural past. 6. Bionic Lens While still in the testing stage, the founder of Ocumetics Technology Corp may have stumbled upon a revolutionary technology that could augment the way humans perceive the world. A new bionic contact lens will give wearers an ability to see the world with stronger than 20/20 vision. Some subjects, who have already tried the lens themselves, claim that they not only see better than ever before but have identified a unique spectrum of colors unfamiliar to the unaided eye. Is this perhaps the first step in the direction of a new era of superhumans? 5. Harder Than Diamond Scientists may have recently discovered a substance harder than diamond, Q-carbon. What gives diamonds their excellent hardness are the chemical bonds that hold them together. The carbon in diamonds is held together by incredibly tight chemical bonds at the microscopic level, giving diamonds their prominent hardness. By the manipulation of carbon atoms, scientists were able to augment their chemical bonds, producing a material that is potentially 60 times harder than diamond. While this substance is still being experimented on, it is a potential prospect for the future of cheap, efficient technologies. 4. First Mammals Researchers from the University of Edinburgh have discovered an ancient species of mammals that survived the notorious extinction of the dinosaurs over 65 million years ago. The reason this find is so significant is that it gives us a glimpse at how mammals began to rule the world previously dominated by their cold-blooded counterparts. The mammal is thought to have been a plant-eater closely resembling a modern beaver. Once the dinosaurs were eliminated these beaver-like creatures began to flourish, given that they were no longer victims of dinosaur predators. Because these little guys were able to withstand the destruction that wrecked havoc on the dinosaurs, an array of mammals, including our ancestors, were finally able to leave their mark on the world. 3. Whale Gene Mapping Gene mapping is starting to look less like a theoretical nicety and more like an applied science with this new aquatic discovery. Scientists have finally discovered why Bowhead Whales are able to live to 200 years old by remapping their entire genome. By comparing the genome of Bowhead Whales with the genome of other mammals with a less impressive lifespan, scientists were able to point out marked differences. Bowhead longevity is due to its genes’ effectiveness in repairing gene deterioration, which is the cause of cancer and other ailments known to cut human life short. By further studying this animal’s genes, scientists may finally be able to restore our own faulty genetic system, substantially lengthening our lives. 2. Second Earth NASA has recently confirmed their discovery of a possible second Earth. Kepler-452b orbits its sun in what scientists call the “Goldilocks Zone,” which is the habitable region in space, not too far or close to the sun, necessary for the possibility of life to flourish. The new planet appears to have a rocky surface as well as liquid water, which is another key ingredient for life to subsist. Although not much is known about if there is life beyond Earth, it makes sense to take notice of planets similar to our own. 1. Animal Re-animation Scientists have always been intrigued by the prospect of re-animating creatures that have been extinct for many years. While bringing a dinosaur back to life would be kind of cool, bringing a Wooly Mammoth back to life would be just as cool, and that is just what scientists are trying to do. Because Wooly Mammoths and Saber-Toothed Tigers have only been extinct for tens of thousands of years, unlike the millions of years dinosaurs have been extinct, intact DNA samples are much easier to find. Scientists believe it is possible to recreate these extinct beasts by cloning them with DNA and tissue samples, which have been found, over the years, preserved in ice.

Good News First! Episode 1

02:44
A weekly source for good news! See the world in context. Restore your faith in the world & humanity ProTip: watch in 1080HD Hey guys! This is Iara. This project concept is really close to my heart, and has been in the works for a long time! It’s so exciting to have it up and running! The idea was inspired by a little comic strip you may have seen before: http://lizzlizz.com/index/?comic=407 by Lizz Lunney. It is such a funny and insightful little comic. It captures a concern that I always have watching the news: good news, good things, and good people are not given a preferential spot and sometimes it’s easy to forget that they exist. The more I looked into it, the more I realized that usually it is the sensational and violent stories that flood news channels. There is one very good reason for that: these kinds of news expose emerging threats and alert the world of people who need their help. These are IMPORTANT and in no way is GNF about creating apathy. Rather, GNF is about putting things into context. As negative stories are always more sensational, good news around the world are either left out or minimally included. Oddly, ones that are included are often not even important (a dog learned how to walk and a cat wore sunglasses!). Therefore, it’s so easy to come away from watching news feeling completely discouraged about the world and humanity. The reality is though, is that there is so much good in the world, and so many good people bringing it about. This little channel will focus on those things and celebrate the people who are not given the media attention that they, and their acts, deserve. Read more on the stories! The man who illegally shipped military arms to Mexican drug cartels as a means of ultimately destroying our 2nd Amendment thus taking more of American's rights, our very own attorney General of the United States, Eric Holder, has stepped down from his post.  Compliments of World Net Daily the following:  Good News! Kelly Terry-Willis said in a Townhall report that the announcement of Holder’s resignation Thursday suggests there’s something in the documents that Americans need to know. Good News! “I do not find it a coincidence that Eric Holder chose now to resign after Judge Bates denied the request from the DOJ to delay the release of the Fast and Furious documents,” she said. “I personally think Eric Holder was really hoping that the documents would never be made public to my family and the American people. Good News! “I have a serious gut feeling when we finally see what is in those documents … the dynamics of this investigation are going to change and hopefully the people involved are brought to justice. Eric Holder can run, but there will be no hiding.”  Read More The second bit of Good News is that the LA Times is apologizing for destroying Gary Web via the our ultra-corrupt CIA. In other words a sense or morality amongst a pool of corruption in the American politico.  The next Good News is that republican congressmen are urging military officers to rebel against Obama's dicttatorial agenda as he unconstitutionally goes to war without congressional approval. There has never been a president in America's histroy who has had such a disregard for America's Constitution, the one which our ancestors died to give us. He is literally ripping it apart at the seams as Americans and congress just sit by as this enemy of our state is like a bull in china shop. This creature is a treasonous criminal who has stepped on our Constitution by keeping our borders wide open, instituting an unconstitutional Obamacare, funding an unconstitutional Department of Homeland Security, sending billions of dollars to our enemies, thus funding Al Queada / ISIS and Hamas and the list goes on and on. He has issue more executive orders than any other president and has spent more money in his first two years in office than all other presidents combined. He is a devout Leninist, Muslim, thus goes against everything our country stands for. We literally have our greatest enemy in the office of president, hence all of America's present problems. SO THE GOOD NEWS IS THAT CONGRESSMEN ARE URGING MILITARY OFFICERS TO REBEL AGAINST HE AND HIS DICTATES AS THEY ARE UNCONSTITUTIONAL. My friends there are over one hundred million Americans on some form of food assistance of which over fifty million are on foodstamps and over one hundred million people on some form or welfare. That is one third of our population. I encourage you to research it for yourself. They destroyed our manufacturing infrastructure in America as we use to manufacture over 70% of what used in America, but now it's less than 10%.  Good News! With this in mind there's no better place than online to make a living and I have a beautiful infrastructure that you can partake in that has proven success. No matter where your presently at we have a solution for you in this infrastructure.  1. A Free business to started with is here: http://seriouslivingonline.com 2. Virgin America Named Best Airline, Which Is Good News for Another One - Newsy

00:55
Virgin America has been named best airline in America by the annual Airline Quality Rating which bases airline rankings on flights landing on time, denied boardings, baggage handling and customer complaints. Since Virgin America kept it's top spot in the rankings, Alaska Air decided to purchase Virgin America for $2.6 billion. Transcript: For the fourth year in a row, Virgin America has been named the nation's best airline by the annual Airline Quality Rating. The AQR is put together by members of Wichita State University and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. The project ranks airlines based on flights landing on time, denied boardings, baggage handling and customer complaints. The airline industry as a whole improved in three of these areas. However, customer complaints hit a 15-year high in 2015. Virgin America kept its top spot in the rankings, which is actually good news for Alaska Air Group. The two companies announced Monday that Alaska Air would purchase Virgin America for $2.6 billion. It's an even better acquisition since Alaska Airlines' own performance on the AQR has gotten worse. Analysts originally thought JetBlue would be the one to buy Virgin America. JetBlue finished second in the recent Airline Quality Rating. Brexit: Commons reacts to Bercow's ban on meaningful vote

05:11:10
John Bercow today refused to explain his controversial Brexit blocking - or apologise for meddling. The Commons Speaker made a string of sarcastic jokes when he was approached by the BBC this morning. He ignored repeated questions about his controversial move to stop Theresa May holding a third vote on his Brexit deal. Mr Bercow was filmed walking to work in Parliament and asked: "Can you explain to the public what you did yesterday?" But instead of responding, he said, "I really feel you ought to get yourselves some coffee or tea" - then made a joke about the reporter's hat. Pressed on the issue, the Speaker sneered: "I'm sure people are so very grateful to you for showing such interest at this time in the morning - very grateful to you, very well done." As the camera crew crossed the road with him, Mr Bercow snapped: "Careful, careful! There are cars coming along here, I'm not going to sacrifice myself for your benefit. "I know that you attach great weight to what you think, but perhaps you'd be kind enough to allow me to proceed." Unbelievable Shark Attack Stories

05:10
Top 10 people that survived scary shark encounters on the beach and in the middle of the ocean. Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/9CwQhg For copyright matters please contact us at: [email protected] Other Videos You Might Like Terrifying Sea Creatures That Actually Exist https://youtu.be/uoqnoLxlfxI The Most Dangerous Selfies Ever Taken https://youtu.be/vbINDVqaQic Description: A fear of sharks is known as galeophobia, a condition that might be growing more widespread as media stories about shark attacks seem to be getting more frequent. Highlighted by the unsettling live video footage of professional surfer Mick Fanning getting attacked during the J-Bay Open event in South Africa, this summer produced an endless stream of media reports that seemed to point to a troubling trend of aggressive shark behavior. Heck, we were even subjected to the third offering as part of the Sharknado movie series. Now, let’s be clear here - none of the reported attacks have been fatal. In fact, shark attack deaths are extremely infrequent, with many seemingly mundane activities bringing about a higher death toll. There were 15,000 deaths identified as being caused by cycling between 1990 and 2009, a period that produced just 14 shark attack fatalities. Even lightning strikes have been statistically known to kill 40 people annually, far exceeded the death rate for shark-related mishaps. Shark attacks have increased in sheer numbers over the years, but have actually decreased proportionally in relation to a growing population. In reality, sharks have little interest in feasting on humans. Beyond population numbers, increases in attacks have come as a result of more people finding their way onto beaches and into oceans. For those who find themselves swimming far off the coast and in deep, shark-infested waters, you are occupying territory that belongs to them. If they decide to approach, it’s borne more out of a curiosity over a foreign presence than any vicious intent. Even when it comes to shark encounters, exploratory bites are far more common than attempts by sharks to devour human prey. It’s understandable that it would be of little comfort for most people to know that most shark bites are more exploratory in nature than malicious. After all, a shark sighting is going to be downright frightening for a swimmer regardless of the shark’s intent. Armed with speed, power and sharp, jagged teeth, sharks offer a destructive enough force that any of the approximate 60 attacks every year have the potential to be deadly. The good news is that shark attacks happen to be quite preventable. Aside from staying near the shore when wading into the ocean, simple, easy measures like avoiding fishing areas and holding off swimming with open wounds can help, as can staying out of the water at night. If you do encounter a shark, do your best to stay calm, try to maintain eye contact and then back away slowly. That being said, you still don’t want to find yourself in the crosshairs of a hungry, blood-thirsty shark. These 10 people couldn’t prevent shark encounters, but their crazy survival stories offer hope that you can live to tell the tale even after being in the presence of a Great White. What Makes Someone More Attractive Than Others

09:09
Do you know that it's not only genetics what dictates how attractive you turn out to be? There are other factors that contribute to whether or not you appear “good-looking” to those around you. In fact, there are general features that make some people more attractive than the rest. And here they are. If a person isn’t comfortable with their particular jaw shape, they have the option of turning to something called orthotropic treatment. - Orthotropic treatment is possible because some of the bones in the human skull can move over time. - While it depends on the patient’s specific situation, things like braces, muscle exercises, retainers, and other mouth appliances can help redevelop a person’s facial features over time. - There have been many different studies done over the years that indicate many people tend to find symmetrical faces more attractive. - Some researchers have referred to this idea of younger women being attracted to older, successful men as the “George Clooney Effect.” - Turns out, if you find familiarity in someone’s face, you’re more likely to find them good-looking. - In the same vein, some researchers believe that if a person looks like your parent of the opposite gender, you’re more likely to be attracted to them. How Iceland Saved Its Teenagers - BBC News

03:54
In 1998, 42% of Iceland’s 15 and 16 year-olds reported that they had got drunk in the past 30 days. By 2016, though, this figure had fallen to just 5% and drug use and smoking had also sharply declined. The action plan that led to this dramatic success is sometimes called “the Icelandic Model” – and strikingly, it does not focus on tighter policing or awareness campaigns to warn children off bad habits. Instead, top researchers collaborate closely with communities on initiatives like parental pledges and night-time patrols after dark, while the government invests in recreational facilities. But is being a teenager in Iceland still fun? The Great Pyramid Mystery Has Finally Been Solved

09:30
The mystery of Giza has finally been solved: archaeologists uncovered who made the Great Pyramid and how they managed to build one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world. The Great Pyramid of Giza, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, is visited by millions of tourists every year. If you have been to Egypt, you probably also have a fun picture of you pointing at the top of the Pyramids or “holding” the Sphinx in your hand. You only have to travel 15 miles from the center of modern Cairo to find yourself thousands of years back in time… in your imagination, even though the pyramids help a lot to make it seem real. Many scientists, archeologists, and history fans would give anything to travel in time to answer one question. It has been the topic of debate and research for centuries. How was the Great Pyramid built? Were aliens involved in the process? Good news is, you don’t have to wait for time travel to be invented to find out the answer. TIMESTAMPS The prevailing theory of how the Great Pyramid was built 1:24 More bizarre theories about the Great Pyramid 3:45 One of the theories involved levitation 5:49 The mystery has been solved 6:36 The secret of the Great Pyramid is no longer a mystery to you. You see, it took no aliens, but hard work, limestone, and wooden boats to create one of the wonders of the ancient world.
