It seems that we all want a few extra hours a week to get through everything we want to. When was the last time you found yourself saying that you’ll do something when you find time for it? Everyone agrees that time is something we all want more of; more time to get through all our work, more time to be with friends and family, and more time to relax. However, how often do you find yourself rushing around like a headless chicken desperately trying to get everything done. or feeling frustrated and bordering on rage because you just simply don’t have the time you want? Feeling stressed and overwhelmed constantly is not fun at all, so why is change so hard? We live in a world where we want instant solutions and gratification, but for a price, of course, and the least amount of effort on our part. When we need something to be fixed or changed, it’s easy to go and buy a solution, but what about those problems that aren’t so tangible, like time? Of course, those who master their time have developed skills and learnt techniques, but they all share something else which is the root of their success—a mindset that enables them to manage their time effortlessly. Improving the way you manage your time really starts with the way you view time, your perspective. Getting Organized Everyone has the same 24 hours in their day, yet it’s obvious that many people achieve more in a few months than most people do in years. Why is that? I have heard so many different excuses, and among my favorite are definitely “I was born this way, I’ve always been disorganized“—really? I didn’t know there was a gene for disorganization. Another is, “it will make me less creative and restrict my freedom“—on the contrary, being organized actually frees your mind up to be more creative! Let me ask you a question, do you believe that managing your time is in your control? In other words, do you believe it is possible? If you don’t, I’m glad you are reading this because your mindset is definitely influencing your results. If you think that you don’t have time to do anything, you will most probably find that you don’t. If you think that you are unable to take control of the reins and manage your time, that is what your experience will be. Your external world reflects your internal world, your thinking. If you are disorganized on the outside, you most likely feel disorganized on the inside, which is why you need to start with mastering your mindset. We cannot buy or create more time, but we can make more time by creating a time management mindset. Tips to Get You Started: The blame game: Stop blaming others for your results; you are responsible for how you spend your time and what you achieve with it—it’s that simple. It’s easy to blame others for not being able to accomplish what you needed to, but you have to take responsibility. Self sabotage: Stop telling yourself that you won’t get things finished on time, or you won’t be able to find time to do something. Those who manage their time successfully never set themselves up negatively, because that is what you are doing by affirming before you have even started that it will turn out badly and not work out. Remember that what you expect, you get! Catch yourself from limiting phrases like this, and be more positive. You will feel more empowered and in control by affirming to yourself that it will work out well, and your actions will be directed accordingly. Think: This might seem like a strange tip, but I’m not referring to your daily thoughts—I am referring to the way you think habitually. What normally happens when you have to plan your day ahead of time, or rearrange your schedule? Develop the habit of always looking for opportunities to leverage your time, prioritizing your actions in your mind, and knowing the best way to focus your actions. The way you plan your days and perform your tasks are directly related to your thinking, so if you are not seeing the results you want, change the way you think in that area. You can learn all the techniques and tools in the book, but if you don’t believe that it will help or your negative thoughts keep you struggling with time, you won’t ever really master your time—until you master your mindset.

Full Course: https://www.udemy.com/developing-effective-time-management-habits/?couponCode=TIME2L What happened to the paperless office? The appearance of the computer was supposed to remove the need for paper in the office, but most people receive more paper documents than ever before. If you are to avoid drowning in a sea of paper, you need a straightforward and efficient technique for managing it. Example - Jane Paperwork Follow along as one employer, let’s call her Jane, thinks about how she handles her paperwork. “The paperwork I receive distracts me from the task in hand, and I usually ignore it for as long as possible,” she says. “I keep nearly all the documents that land on my desk. I have a large office, with plenty of drawer and cupboard space, so this is not a problem”. Failing to Manage Paperwork Ignoring paperwork that lands on your desk, or aiming to store it all, are simply two different ways of failing to manage it. Instead, there is a simple, but powerful technique for managing paperwork. Make a prompt decision about the fate of each document you receive, based on whether it should be filed, passed on, thrown away, or needs to be read. The "File, Pass on, Throw away, Read" Technique The choices contained in the "file, pass on, throw away, read" technique are not, of course, necessarily mutually exclusive. Some documents will need reading thoroughly before filing or passing on; others will not. It may or may not be immediately clear whether a document should be treated as trash. It is certainly the case, however, that a cursory look will tell you all you need to know about many documents. A lot of paperwork that comes across your desk is not worth the time it would take you to read it. Full Course: https://www.udemy.com/developing-effective-time-management-habits/?couponCode=TIME2L

Well, ever since the industrial revolution, that “how” has been a vital question for many businesses. Today, we’re going to look at how in post-war Japan, Toyota helped to create one of the smartest production systems that we have, named “Just In Time”. After World War 2, Japan faced some difficult problems; they didn’t have a lot of cash, resources were scarce, and there wasn’t a lot of free land to expand factories. However, Taiichi Ohno at Toyota managed to turn these problems into advantages by slowly creating the Just In Time system. The idea didn’t all come at once, it’s more that through the 50s and 60s, various changes were implemented and improved until the 70s were the wider world began to realise the benefits and start to adopt a similar approach. How are you managing your time? Are you getting the results you want? Maybe you keep a diary and have daily, weekly or even monthly "to do" lists for all your priorities. If you have a team you might even go as far as scheduling in time for weekly catch ups with each member to see what they're up to and how you can support them Yet often the tools and techniques we are given to manage our time focus on keeping up to speed with the day-to-day, hitting our targets or fulfilling our KPI's. Very few focus on the future. Your role as a leader is to help people create that future, to paint a picture of what it looks like and excite people about their role in getting there. You've got to do more than respond to what's in front of you. In this video Paul Mitchell of The Human Enterprise will examine the "Three Types of Time" that exist in any executive's life and explain why you need to address all 3 to be an effective leader.

Listed below are several techniques, ideas, resources, and tips for teachers to hone the right skills to conquer their classroom: 1. Start the year tough. Many teachers make the mistake of starting the school year with a poor discipline plan or without any classroom management plan at all. It is so much easier to start tough and then lighten up, then to start light and discipline more. At the beginning of the year, students quickly assess the situation and realize what they will be allowed to get away with. Starting the year tough will give you control and flexibility. 2. Be fair to all students. 3. Be prepared for disruptions---and don't let them phase you. Students often amplify their teacher's reaction to disruptions—be ready for them and be ready to calmly and quickly pick up where you left off. Having a joke or interesting comment ready to bring attention back to you will allow you to transition back to the material. 4. Instill high expectations 5. Incentivize good behavior. Motivating students though rewards like no homework, watching a video, ice cream, or free-activity time can help students by giving them a goal. This can also help students hold each other accountable to class goals and stigmatize negative behavior even more. 6. Overplan. 7. Have a clearly expressed disciplinary plan...with consequences! Make sure students know the disciplinary ladder well. Any hint of ambiguity can leave a loophole for excuses (and students are great at making excuses!). Warn students when they are close to breaking a rule so there will be no ambiguity when that line is crossed. If you constantly raise your voice to get the attention of the class, consider investing in a classroom amplification system which can save your voice by projecting it. The iPod Portable PA system is a great system for classrooms because it features an iPod dock that simultaneously plays and charges your iPod and also has outputs for a projector. 8. Focus on relationships. A teacher than can connect positively with their students will make students behave and easier to manage because students will regard the teacher much like a friend. Using positive reinforcement to build a positive reputation for the child gives the student confidence that their teacher believes in them and will make it harder to disappoint the teacher with bad behavior or work ethic. 9. Be careful about confrontation 10. Be patient and keep practicing. Don't worry if things don't go well right away...controlling your classroom is learn-able but will always be a challenge with some students. Whether you are teach a kindergarten class, at an elementary school, middle school, or high school, it is best to "Expect the Unexpected" and be ready for adversity! This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Co-writer of the Agile Manifesto, Jeff Sutherland is one of the world's leading experts of organizational management. He'll explain how to be agile, not just in software development but in every business to disrupt the field. A former US Air Force "Top Gun," Jeff Sutherland is the co-creator of the SCRUM process. This methodology, developed in 1993 and formalized in 1995 with Ken Schwaber, has since been adopted by the vast majority of software development companies around the world. Jeff is a leading expert on how the framework has evolved to meet the needs of today's business. Realizing its benefits are not limited to software development, he has adapted this strategy to several other industries including: finance, healthcare and telecom. His processes are now widely used for managing challenging projects and hyperproductive development teams. As the CEO of Scrum Inc. and the Senior Advisor and Agile Coach to OpenView Venture Partners, Jeff shares best practices with organisations around the globe. About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

These 9 tips will help you control your anger and keep a bad temper in check. Do you have a bad temper? If something upsets you, how to you handle it? Do you regret how you acted when you were angry? Aaron Marino of alpha m. says that not handling situations calmly does more damage that you realize. It only takes a few times before someone finds you a liability because they have to walk on eggshells around you. Don't be that person. Getting upset happens, but losing control doesn't have to happen. Getting mad is not excuse to hurt people. You don't deserve to be hurt either. If you are around those with bad tempers who can't control it, reevaluating that relationship may be necessary. Temper Tips to Manage Your Mood 1. What makes you mad? Identify these situations and try to avoid. 2. Identify the feeling when getting intensely upset starts. Stop the escalation. It's all about control. 3. Practice relaxation techniques which allow you time before you react. 4. Think before you speak. Words can hurt deeply and intensely. 5. Get physical exercise for stress reduction. 6. Talk about issues when they arise. 7. Use humor to diffuse intense situations. Don't use sarcasm! 8. Take a timeout from things that are bothering you. Decompress during the timeout to see things more clearly and rationalize. 9. Know when you need help and ask for it. Join a group, speak to a professional, and / or go to therapy.

http://tm.org Bob Jones, chief investment officer, New York City talks about how Transcendental Meditation helps him to use his time efficiently and reduce stress under pressure. For more information on the TM technique or to find a certified teacher near you, visit www.TM.org When I started Transcendental Meditation, when I was 15, I was a B student going nowhere very much lost in the world and I think meditation helped me focus. if fact I would attribute a lot my success in life to meditation and the ability to find my center - who I am - who I want to be - being on that center and achieving better focus in life. It's very important to have a clear mind and to think clearly especially under pressure and stress. We live in a very stressful world and in particular asset management can be very stressful. You can see around you that people can get upset and flustered and anxious when times are tough and they make bad decisions when they do that. Having a calm demeanor, being able to take things as they come and be able to address them in a calm and thoughtful way is very important to success in any industry, but in particular asset management. The reason people get stressed and feel too busy is that they have too many things going on. Not all of those things are that important. some are more important and some are less important. Transcendental Meditation helps you realize these are the things I need to do, these are the things that are less important that I can get to if I have time. I think that by being more thoughtful and focused you find a lot of time and you end up with more time then you would without meditation. Look at the studies. They are very clear, they have been scientifically and empirically done and they are very compelling. People who meditate live longer, have better health, are in control of their lives, and frankly I think the testimony of the people that do it is another good example. The people who meditate keep meditating. There are very few people who just give it up because it was boring or they didn't like it or whatever. Everybody I know who started when they were 15 are still doing it from my high school class. I got my wife and kids and mother in law doing it, and they're all still doing it. That's a good testimony that they find value in the technique. Transcendental Meditation can be learned very easily by anyone, in fact there are already many millions of people enjoying the technique.

FREE COURSE To Start Your Online Business: https://projectlifemastery.com/free-course/?utm_medium=social&utm_source=youtube&utm_campaign=free-course-promo&utm_term=how-to-budget-and-save-money&utm_content=lc-youtube-description Are you looking for ways to stop letting money control your life? In this video, Stefan provides you with some money management tips for how to budget and save money. Saving is very important. You have to make sure that you are putting money aside every month. The problem is that most people do not budget or save their money. In fact, most people live paycheque to paycheque. Whatever money they earn goes directly to paying off their monthly expenses. Therefore, there is no positive cash flow that they can then use and put aside. Harv Eker said it best – “It comes down to this: Either you control money, or it controls you. To control money, you must manage it”. Sadhguru explains that what the body needs is rest, and not necessarily sleep. If the body is at ease while you are awake, the sleep quota will go down. He also looks at how the quality of sleep is connected to the quality of life. If you wake up well, you will sleep well he says. **************************************** Transcript: http://isha.sadhguru.org/blog/video/how-to-reduce-sleep-quota-and-increase-sleep-quality/ Questioner: No, no, I want more actually. About compulsions and evening person and morning person, I was wondering how can I decrease my hours of sleep and how can I improve my sleep quality? Sadhguru: You want to increase the quality of your sleep means you want to reduce the quantity, is that what you’re saying? Questioner: Yeah somehow both; my need for hours I want to decrease and I want to improve the quality. Thank you. Sadhguru: Okay. See, sleep is not a requirement in one’s life. What the body requires is rest. Sleep is just one form of rest. Lot of people are beginning to think… in Tamil Nadu if somebody says, ‘He is resting,’ means they’re sleeping. (Laughter) Need not be. You can sit and rest, isn’t it? Yes? You can stand and also rest. You’re running – if you stand, doesn’t it feel like rest? You’re standing, if you sit down, doesn’t it feel like rest? There are many ways of resting. The most important thing is rest means you’re changing the energy equation where consumption is lowered, production is going on at the same pace. So after a period of time, you feel rejuvenated because consumption has been lowered. Essentially you’re managing the energy equation. If you’re on acute activity, the consumption is more; whatever you’re producing it’s not enough, after some time you feel exhausted because the consumption has been heavy. If you lower the consumption and increase the production, after sometime you feel energized. Suppose you’re running, if you run a mile, after that you can’t take another step, let’s say. Oh, many of you have been running for Isha marathons, Isha Vidya marathons, forty, forty-two kilometers, all right, whenever – after a mile or two you can’t take another step, don’t eat anything, don’t drink anything, just sit down for ten minutes, again you’re fine, rejuvenated, isn’t it? All you have done is lowered the consumption, production is still at the same level.
