08 common Interview question and answers - Job Interview Skills 1. "Tell me a little about yourself." You should take this opportunity to show your communication skills by speaking clearly and concisely in an organized manner. Because there is no right or wrong answer for this question, it is important to appear friendly. 2. "What are your strengths?" This is a popular interview question. They want to know what you think of yourself. Although this is a general question, there is a wrong and right answer. The wrong answer is a generic answer saying you are organized and friendly. Although it will not hurt you during the interview, it will certainly not help you either. Answer this question based on the type of job you are applying for. 3. "What are your weaknesses?" For this answer, you should display a weakness that can be seen as a strength. There are many types of answers that will work. Some answers will be good answers for certain jobs, while the same answer will be a bad answer for a different job. Select an answer that will work for the position you are applying for. 4. "Where do you see yourself in five years?" This question primarily depends on where you are in your career. A person with 5 years of experience will have different goals than a person with no work experience.This question is asked to see how serious a candidate is about his or her career. Some people might not know their goals, and some people might have goals of becoming rich and retiring early. Those are incorrect answers for this question. The type of answer you want to give is an ambitious answer that shows you really love your career. A good interviewer will read between the lines and find out if a person is going to be a hard worker or just a mediocre one. Being descriptive and shooting for a big goal is something interviewers want to hear. 5. "What do you know about our company?" A typical job interview question, asked to find out how much company research you have conducted, is "What do you know about this company?" Prepare in advance, and in a word, research, so you can provide relevant and current information about your prospective employer to the interviewer. 6. "Are you good at dealing with change?" Dealing with change is common in the work place. A simple yes will not be sufficient to impress the interviewer. This is another type of question where everyone will have similar answers. Of course everyone is going to claim being excellent dealing with change. You got to communicate that you are really good at dealing with change. 7. "Do you work well under pressure?" In most cases, the best answer to this question is answering yes. Working well under pressure is a good trait to have. However, I think if you answer that you work the same with pressure and without pressure, the interviewer will be more impressed. However, you will need to explain in words why this is better. 8. "How do you make important decisions?" There are many ways to answer this question, and if you have a reasonable method of making decisions, it will probably be sufficient. One answer I thought of included not being afraid of asking your manager. You can follow up by saying even the best needs mentoring, and you always want to improve. So basically, this could work as an answer, but depending on the job, you might have a better shot with an answer like my example.

Until now, the cornerstone piece of my sales strategy is a comprehensive questionnaire that I send out to a potential client during the sales process. The assessment is a complete look at the business and asks probative questions that uncover in which areas is the business doing well and in which areas can the business improve and optimize right away. The sections of the questionnaire include the background of the owner, the background of the business, the past sales, the client base, and every traditional and online marketing pillar out there (SEO, PPC, email, social, affiliates, strategic partners, customer referrals, analytics, video, mobile marketing, competitive intelligence etc.) Do you have a process like this where a client fills out a questionnaire about their business? Why or why not. If you did have an effective assessment that helped the client gain clarity on their business and see your value to help them grow, where would you put in in your e-mail sales process? I said...I'm really glad to hear you found value in the 25k email campaign post. In regards to your question about questionnaire/assessment forms...yes I use them. I think they are very important. If at all possible, I suggest you ask the prospect to complete the form before the free consultation. Here is the simplest way I know how to do it: Have your follow-up sequence explain the benefits with each message leading to a questionnaire. Sample flow: Run ad -- free consult registration page -- 1st big benefit of your service (link to questionnaire) -- 2nd big benefit of your service (link to questionnaire) -- 3rd big benefit of your service (link to questionnaire) -- 4th big benefit of your service (link to questionnaire) -- 5th big benefit of your service (link to questionnaire) Each follow-up can be a video, blog post, or just a well-explained email. So let’s put it this way. Think of #managementconsultants, especially entry-level ones as “content ambassadors”. We act like the bridge between a complicated client context with various needs, conditions, and attributes and a massive back-end network of knowledge and experts. This sounds simple but it’s not. There is a lot of slicing and shovelling involved. Let’s look at an example. I was in charge of the cement workstream and the key question was: should the client close down the plant? Yes, I have a massive network of experts behind me but there’s no way they can answer that question given how little they know about the client and market context. As the #consultant in charge, I have to analyze the problem, breaking it into smaller parts… In order to know if the client should close the plant or not, we need to know if we can turnaround their negative profits and if yes, how long does it take? Then into the first branch, I explore ways to improve sales and ways to cut costs. Suppose I was studying the costs and realize logistics is one of the biggest. Although hundreds of job vacancy advertisements are posted every day, very few are real jobs and even fewer positions are actually being filled. According to the founder of Dubai-based global recruitment platform iRecruiter, the market has stabilised compared to 2017 and 2018 with lesser redundancies but as a result there aren’t enough jobs available today. “There’s just not enough jobs right now”, said Kamal Al Samarrai “There’s statistics about how many jobs are being advertised. But how many of those are real jobs is a different question altogether. How many of those jobs are actually get filled? I would say less than 40% of them. 60% of these jobs just go out on the market just because it is almost a whim”, he said. So then are all of those job postings blatant lies? Al Samarrai thinks that companies tend to change strategies often here in the region. “The management comes in and says we need to hire 10 more sales people and he puts these job ads out and a week later he says things have changed, revenue has changed, plans have changed and these jobs just go sitting in there without actually being hired”, he explained. Another problem with the job market in the UAE is the slow recruitment process. According to Al Samarrai, the hiring process takes about 7-9 months on average. Describing a conversation that took place between him and one of his big clients in the UAE, he said, “One of the questions they asked is how long do you own the candidate for. On average the hiring process is about 7-9 months. And out of the number of jobs we actually put on, we have a fill rate of about 10-20%”.

In the late 19th century John Rockefeller used his quick wits and leadership skills to build an impressive oil refinery in Cleveland. In the early days of the oil industry technology was inefficient and bankruptcies were everywhere, but John optimized the refining process successfully. Over time, he bought out competitors until he had total control over the oil industry in Cleveland through his company: Standard Oil of Ohio. In the decades afterwards Rockefeller purchased refineries across America and even negotiated backroom deals with the big railroad tycoons. At its peak Standard Oil was worth up to $1,000,000,000,000 (one trillion dollars) in today's money, with Rockefeller controlling over 90% of the oil industry in America. Of course, eventually new oil deposits were uncovered in Asia and Russia, challenging Rockefeller's monopoly. Back at home concerned businessmen funded waves of media opposition to Standard Oil, which was eventually broken up in 1911. The numerous companies created during this split would eventually merge back together, bringing huge profits to Rockefeller in his final years. Upon his death, Rockefeller's net worth was an estimated $400 billion in today's dollars, making him the wealthiest businessman to have ever lived by a wide margin.
