In this video, you’ll learn what an email alias is and how it’s different from an email account. But first, let’s first define what we mean by ‘alias’. This Molly Jones – her mom calls her “Molly"; her friends call her “MJ”; and the supermarket clerks call her “Mrs. Jones.” While all of these people are using different names for Molly, they’re all referring to the same person. They’re just using nicknames, or aliases for Molly. Now, let’s put aliases in the context of emails. Molly here, owns a small, dog-friendly winery. She likes to use her personal email address with her friends and family, and to clearly identify herself when she’s communicating with her vendors. However, she’d also like a couple of generic email addresses that she can use on her website; like one for general customer questions, and another for customers interested in hosting special events at her winery. She doesn’t have the time to log in and check multiple email inboxes, and she’s just starting out, so she doesn’t want to purchase too many email accounts just yet. The solution: Add email aliases to her existing GoDaddy email account. Aliases allow Molly to create new email addresses with alternate names that function as additional inboxes on her primary email account. Even better, the aliases use the same contact list, account settings and inbox as the primary email address. For example, she could add the email alias [email protected] for customer questions and [email protected] for customers interested in using her winery for special occasions. Any email sent to either of the aliases will be delivered to her primary account inbox, [email protected] She can add new email addresses to her account without creating, or paying for, new email accounts until she needs them. One thing that’s important to note about aliases, is that you cannot send emails FROM an alias; an alias can ONLY function as an additional inbound email address to an existing email account. Remember, an email alias is a great way to create a new email address without creating a completely new email account.

If you use Outlook for work, at some point you may need to import and export contacts from your account. Though it may seem complicated, it is actually an easy process if you use the tricks we lay out in this video. Have you ever tried to import something into Outlook, only to have your file rejected, or your data imported incorrectly?  If you are trying to import contacts into Outlook from a file that isn’t using the same data fields that Outlook needs, you will get bogged down trying to make sure that your data is mapped correctly. If, for example, your 'first name' data gets mapped to the 'last name' data field, your data will flow into Outlook incorrectly. Before you import anything into Outlook, you will need to know what Outlook wants. Outlook considers a lot of data fields during the import process, and it can be difficult to determine which fields are necessary, or how to get them in the right format. For this reason, it is easier and more reliable to import data into Outlook using the spreadsheet it gives you. To fix this problem, start by exporting a CSV file out of Outlook. This will give you a spreadsheet template with all of the fields that Outlook requires. Once you have exported a CSV file, you can begin entering the data you have regarding your contacts. If you carefully input your data into the correct fields, you will have a complete data set that is ready to be imported back into Outlook. Importing is the same process as exporting. You will need to select the updated CSV file from your computer. Outlook will want to verify that the data fields match up, and this won’t be a problem since you are now using Outlook's template. Now, you should be ready to start importing your contacts into Outlook. If you follow these steps, you will soon be a master at importing and exporting contacts in Outlook! Learn how to use Microsoft Outlook to create contact groups so that you can send emails to a large number of people easily. It is always better to create contact groups in outlook as it allows you to send emails to a large number of people easily. By creating groups you do not have to specify each and every email address specifically but can simply enter the contact group that consists of all email ids. To understand how to do this, follow the tutorial below. Step # 1 -- Select the "New Contact Group" icon In outlook 2010 the "distribution list" is renamed to "contact group". This is the list that you will use to send out emails with Outlook to your contacts. It is easy to create contact groups once you have created the contacts. You will start by clicking the "contacts icon" in the "navigation pane". Then click on the "new contact group icon" at the top. Step # 2 -- Enter the name A new window will open the first thing you will do is to give the group a name, in this example "office staff". Once you have named the group, you would find it in your contacts. To make it appear right at the top, change the name by double clicking the group and in the name bar adding an "Underscore sign" before the name. Step # 3 -- Add members After you create contact groups in Outlook add contacts to it by double clicking on it and clicking on the "add members" icon. It will show you options from where you can add members to the group. In this example we will add members from the "outlook contacts". Once you select it, a window will appear showing you all the members. Add them by double clicking on the contact. After selecting the members click "ok" and a list of the selected members comes on the screen. From there, click "save and close". You can at any point in time add a new member to the group or delete one by selecting it and clicking the "remove member" icon. Click "save and close" after you make changes. Step # 4 -- Send email to group There are four ways in which you can send emails in Outlook to a group. The first one is by right clicking on the group, going to "create" and selecting "E-mail". You will notice that the group name comes in the "To" line automatically. The second way to send an email is by opening the group, going to the communicate panel and clicking on the "E-mail icon". Another way to send an email is by going to the "folder list". The advantage of "folder list" is that you can see your contacts and mail box at the same time and drag the group in the inbox folder. The fourth and last way to send the email is simple you just have to click the "new Email" icon. A new email window will open. In the "To" bar type the first few letters of the contact.

In this how-to, I show you how to delete or remove an e-mail account off of your Android phone. I go over the process of deleting regular e-mail accounts (such as a yahoo, hotmail, godaddy, etc) and I also go over how to delete a Gmail account from the Gmail app. To delete a regular e-mail account, go to the e-mail app on your phone and then it's settings. Click on the account you want to remove, and at the bottom you should see an option to "remove account." To remove a Gmail account it works a little differently. Go to your phone's main settings app, then go to accounts & sync. Tap on the account you wish to delete, and then press menu thenremove account. Note that deleting a gmail account will stop it from being synced with your contacts and calendars as well. Click More Settings Click on Outgoing Server Tab - Enable My Outgoing server require authentications - Use Same settings as my incoming mail server. Click on Advanced Tab Enter Incoming Server IMAP Port - Outgoing Server Port (find from setting available on Cpanel's SetUp Mail Client page). For encrypted connection select SSL for both Incoming & Outgoing. Increase server timeouts to 5 min. Click Ok then Next. Now Outlook will test that whether we have provided right Webmail Settings to Setup Webmail in Microsoft Outlook or to access Webmail in Outlook. Once completed without error then you can use Webmail in Outlook. So this is the way to access webmail in outlook | Setup Webmail in Microsoft Outlook | Configure Webmail in Outlook.
