10 Mind Blowing Optical Illusions

03:59
Amazing Optical illusions that will tease your brain Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/9CwQhg Flat 3rd Dimension and Following eyes video by Brusspup Includes footage produced by the Royal Institution https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EOeo8zMBfTA Description: One of the most fascinating organs in our body is the human brain. You could say that it is central control, or headquarters for our body. Without our brain, we are not alive. The brain is where our consciousness lives and our memories are preserved. If we are considered “brain dead”, then the plug gets pulled on our life support. It is a complex organ of fatty tissue, and the brain helps us process different kinds of information through our five sense. Using our nose, the brain can tell us whether we are experiencing a pleasant smell or something foul. With our ears, the brain can help us process the noises we are hearing and be able to tell the difference from language to noises. With our mouth, the brain helps us figure out whether the food we are eating is good for us and not poisonous. Finally, with our eyes, the brain helps us process the information we are seeing visually. Our brain and our eyes have a beautiful relationship by letting us see colors, nature, people, and more, along with associate these visions with emotions. With such wondrous capabilities, it can be easy to just assume and trust that what our eyes are telling us is true. Well, not exactly. In the last several centuries, optical illusions have been playing tricks with our brain and causing us to question what is real and what is fiction. Optical illusions can be created by Mother Nature, or they can be manmade, thus creating an entire art dedication to optical illusions and messing with our brain and everything that we know about the world around us. With the innovation and evolution of optical illusions, we are now getting confused more often than ever before! People have even dedicated their lives and support themselves from creating their own optical illusions. These artists even get a kick from us stepping on their painting and thinking that we are about to descend into a multiple story fall, but instead, our foot remains on solid ground. This video has ten of the most mind blowing optical illusions. They are so crazy that you would think that they were simply a trick of the camera or computer. What makes these optical illusions extra special is the fact that they play with your perception using colors, angles, light, shapes, sizes, and more. Our eyes have been conditioned and groomed to see certain things by the way the light hits an object, or by the way and angle is seen by our eyes. Reality can be manipulated so many ways by a simple tilt of the head or a beam of light, or a splash of color. By breaking down why you are seeing the optical illusion in the first place, we can start descending upon the bridge of understanding. Probably one of the most unsettling things about optical illusions is that the seed of doubt can bleed over to our normal everyday lives and cause us to question everything by just looking outside. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our Social Media: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/TheRichest.org Twitter: https://twitter.com/TheRichest_Com Instagram: http://instagram.com/therichest ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Featuring: FLAT 3RD DIMENSION FOLLOWING EYES BACKWARDS CHAIR DROP OFF ROOM ANIMATION ILLUSION THE AMES ROOM MOTION ILLUSIONS CIRCLE ILLUSION YES-NO THE DRESS ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Music Track: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For more videos and articles visit: http://www.therichest.com/

These activities are fine for any age, so get your friends or family and let's start our incredible art marathon! There are many cool tricks for toddlers in this video. Painting is especially beneficial for little kids, because it helps to develop fine motor skills and imagination. Painting with brushes is too boring. Who needs brushes if you can paint with...soap bubbles! All you need is to mix some paint with dishwashing soap and then just blow out the bubbles on a sheet of paper. As simple as 1-2-3! Later, you can turn the colorful spots in whatever you like. We turned them into a flock of colorful balloons. So romantic! In case you decided to paint without brushes, your hands are a perfect instrument! There's a lot of fingerpainting ideas we prepared for you in this video. Just use your imagination and decide what to turn your fingerprint into. A couple of sheep, a helicopter, a train, an airplane, a tank, a bee, a ladybug, a fish, a cat, a pig, a dog, a mouse, a bird, an alien, a lot of funny faces – here's what we came up with. What are you ideas? There's one more bright experimen for toddlers - take a large flat dish of milk, add some drops of different food colors and stir it with Q-tip soaked in dishwashing soap. Enjoy your handmade amazing firework of colorful swirls! You can make a cool poster by stamping your hands against a piece of white paper or canvas. Apart from being an amazing family activity, it can also be a cool design object for your family. Why is Modern Art so Bad?

05:50
For two millennia, great artists set the standard for beauty. Now those standards are gone. Modern art is a competition between the ugly and the twisted; the most shocking wins. What happened? How did the beautiful come to be reviled and bad taste come to be celebrated? Renowned artist Robert Florczak explains the history and the mystery behind this change and how it can be stopped and even reversed. For a score of centuries, artists enriched Western society with their works of astonishing beauty. "The Night Watch"... "The Thinker"... "The Rocky Mountains." Master after master, from Leonardo, to Rembrandt, to Bierstadt, produced works that inspired, uplifted, and deepened us. And they did this by demanding of themselves the highest standards of excellence, improving upon the work of each previous generation of masters, and continuing to aspire to the highest quality attainable. But something happened on the way to the 20th Century. The profound, the inspiring and the beautiful were replaced by the new, the different, and the ugly. Today the silly, the pointless, and the purely offensive are held up as the best of modern art. Michelangelo carved his "David" out of a rock. The Los Angeles County Museum of Art just offers us a rock, -- a rock -- all 340 tons of it. That's how far standards have fallen. How did this happen? How did the thousand-year ascent towards artistic perfection and excellence die out? It didn't. It was pushed out. Beginning in the late 19th century, a group dubbed The Impressionists rebelled against the French Academie des Beaux Arts and its demand for classical standards. Whatever their intentions, the new modernists sowed the seeds of aesthetic relativism -- the "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" mentality. Today everybody loves the Impressionists. And, as with most revolutions, the first generation or so produced work of genuine merit. Monet, Renoir, and Degas still maintained elements of disciplined design and execution, but with each new generation standards declined until there were no standards. All that was left was personal expression. The great art historian Jacob Rosenberg wrote that quality in art "is not merely a matter of personal opinion but to a high degree . . . objectively traceable." But the idea of a universal standard of quality in art is now usually met with strong resistance if not open ridicule. "How can art be objectively measured?" I'm challenged. In responding, I simply point to the artistic results produced by universal standards compared to what is produced by relativism. The former gave the world "The Birth of Venus" and "The Dying Gaul," while the latter has given us "The Holy Virgin Mary," fashioned with cow dung and pornographic images, and "Petra," the prize-winning sculpture of a policewoman squatting and urinating -- complete with a puddle of synthetic urine. Without aesthetic standards we have no way to determine quality or inferiority. Here's a test I give my graduate students, all talented and well educated. Please analyze this Jackson Pollock painting and explain why it is good. It is only after they give very eloquent answers that I inform them that the painting is actually a close up of my studio apron. I don't blame them; I would probably have done the same since it's nearly impossible to differentiate between the two. Academics expose corruption in Grievance Studies

06:35
The first video revealing the behind-the-scenes story of how a trio of concerned left-wing academics (James Lindsay, Peter Boghossian and Helen Pluckrose) published seven intentionally absurd papers in leading scholarly journals in what has become known as 'The Grievance Studies Affair'. I followed Pete, Jim and Helen for almost a year before the project was revealed with this video and an article in the Wall Street Journal. This series is associated with a feature-length documentary I'm working on. My plan is to play around with some of the footage I gather and upload it here to gauge interest and have a creative outlet while I learn about the complicated subject matter. You can follow the story here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLLHyNSlsz449SOhzpo7ClMEKe9WkXt5GO My usual sources of film funding are blocked off to me because of the sensitive subject matter and my slow approach. Jon Meacham: "Thomas Jefferson: the Art of Power" | Talks at Google

54:49
Pulitzer Prize--winning author Jon Meacham returns to the Googleplex for a talk about "Thomas Jefferson: the Art of Power." You can find Jon's books on Google Play: http://goo.gl/5lDWk From the publisher: Thomas Jefferson hated confrontation, and yet his understanding of power and of human nature enabled him to move men and to marshal ideas, to learn from his mistakes, and to prevail. Passionate about many things—women, his family, books, science, architecture, gardens, friends, Monticello, and Paris—Jefferson loved America most, and he strove over and over again, despite fierce opposition, to realize his vision: the creation, survival, and success of popular government in America. Jon Meacham lets us see Jefferson's world as Jefferson himself saw it, and to appreciate how Jefferson found the means to endure and win in the face of rife partisan division, economic uncertainty, and external threat. Drawing on archives in the United States, England, and France, as well as unpublished Jefferson presidential papers, Meacham presents Jefferson as the most successful political leader of the early republic, and perhaps in all of American history. The father of the ideal of individual liberty, of the Louisiana Purchase, of the Lewis and Clark expedition, and of the settling of the West, Jefferson recognized that the genius of humanity—and the genius of the new nation—lay in the possibility of progress, of discovering the undiscovered and seeking the unknown. From the writing of the Declaration of Independence to elegant dinners in Paris and in the President's House; from political maneuverings in the boardinghouses and legislative halls of Philadelphia and New York to the infant capital on the Potomac; from his complicated life at Monticello, his breathtaking house and plantation in Virginia, to the creation of the University of Virginia, Jefferson was central to the age. Here too is the personal Jefferson, a man of appetite, sensuality, and passion. The Jefferson story resonates today not least because he led his nation through ferocious partisanship and cultural warfare amid economic change and external threats, and also because he embodies an eternal drama, the struggle of the leadership of a nation to achieve greatness in a difficult and confounding world.

10 Amazing Paper Tricks!

Here are some fun tricks you can try just about anywhere. I've included the list of tricks and some of them include download links to templates. #1 Impossible paper Template: http://imgur.com/RVofGgw An oldie but a goodie. Trick you friends with this super simple but cool trick. #2 Perpetual Spinner Template: http://imgur.com/FMnJ1v0 This one takes advantage of rising heat to spin the paper. Be careful when doing this experiment. The paper could catch fire. #3 Walk Thru Paper Template: http://imgur.com/9ODGLfR Another oldie but a goodie. The tighter you make the lines, the bigger the hole it will create. #4 Annoying Noise Maker This one is super easy and really annoying #5 Ruler Breaker Using nothing but a piece of paper to "hold" down the ruler, you can break it. #6 Möbius strip If you take a strip of paper, twist it half way and tape the ends, then cut down the middle, the 2 pieces of paper will join and make 1 large loop If you take the ends and twist them a full time and tape them together then cut down the middle, it will create 2 linked loops. #7 Impossible Fold This trick has some controversy. Some say you can't fold more than 7 times, more than 8, or more. It also depends on the thickness of the paper and the make up of the paper. Generally though, it's extremely difficult, if not impossible to fold ordinary sheets of paper more than 8 times. #8 Blooming Flower Template: http://imgur.com/638zNAp This one is very impressive. Be sure to use just a little layer of water. You can make different sizes and shapes of flowers. Some times they will bloom fast and other times slow. #9 Paper Popper This one is super fun, because you can create it almost anywhere. It takes a little practice. You want to make sure to seal off all of the holes in your hand and when you "clap" your hands together you're trying to create a nice air pocket that forces the paper out. If you get really good, you can create extremely loud pops. #10 Super Paper Strength Template: http://imgur.com/WQbwbyI The "tighter" you can make these the stronger it will be. Obviously you could cut thinner strips and have 10, 15, separate cylinders but to me, the taller and fewer the cylinders the more impressive it looks. I calculated that with the 6 cylinders I had, it could hold at least 150 pounds. Be careful when trying this trick.

20 HOT GLUE IDEAS

20:43
USEFUL AND EASY HOT GLUE GUN IDEAS Hot glue only seems good for attaching things to one another. In fact, if you have a glue gun, you have a ready-made 3D printer for home use. In this case, only your imagination is your limit. Today, we colelcted the coolest, the most useful and unexpected hot glue gun ideas and crafts. In this video, you'll find a lot of unexpected ideas. One of my favorite ideas is making adorable and very comfy glue gun slippers. Use a couple of cradvoard stencils for making accurate shoes. You can use a hot glue gun just as a 3D printer and print any figure. Check out how we printed a cool Eiffel tower statue. You can use colorful glue with glitter and a pencil and make a lovely rose. Another handy idea is making comfy nail polish remover caps. You'll need a rubber glove to make it. Another cool trick with a glove is a glove for pet grooming. There are many jewelry ideas that you easily can make using a hot glue gun. Check out that amazing bracelet we made out of hot glue and big rhinestones. Looks stylish! If your ring is too big for you, you can easily fix it with hot glue. You can also make numerous choker designs. Use our ideas or figure out something special. 30 GENIUS HACKS FOR YOUR LIFE

19:57
GENIUS HACKS FOR ANY SITUATION These life hacks and tricks are gonna be unexpectedly helpful in numerous life situations. If you often use eyewear you'll like these hacks. If your glasses often fogging up, I advise you to rub some plain soap into the glasses and then wipe it up with a napkin as usual. When your eyeglasses keep slipping down, take two rubber bands, tie them round the temples of the glasses. That's it, no more slipping down! If you're just trying to pick up a new pair of glasses or buying eyewear for the first time, don't forget to take the table test. Simply put the eyeglasses right on the table and then carefully look at the glasses' temple tips, whether they both reach the table surface or not. If not, it means the temple tips are of different length! It may cause a lot of discomfort while wearing them. In case you have high myopia of −6.00 diopters or more and accidentally lost your eyewear on the working desk. Grab your phone, turn on the camera and zoom in on the table surface until you see your glasses. Another nasty problem every four-eyed probably faced - scratches on the lenses. Put some toothpaste on the lens and rub it in. Did you know how handy plastic bags can be? You can use them as a smartphone case to protect your gadget from the damp and sand when you take it to the beach with you. You can cook an awesome puffy omelet using plastic bag as well! How to take efficient and neat notes - 10 note taking tips | studytee

07:38
PLEASE READ: As you'll see at about 01:40, my handwriting has changed. Before commenting/complaining about that, please read my little explanation further down 💕 Open for FAQ (will NOT be answered in comments), stationery used and contact information! ✏️ If you have a question, please read the description first! You might find your answer there :) About my handwriting: Yes, I am aware that my handwriting has changed. It doesn’t look as neat as before, but this is my real, fast handwriting. My last one probably looked better, but it was a lot slower. I realised that the only reason I kept using that handwriting was because I wanted my notes to look good, and for me that was a wrong reason. So I’ve started using my fast handwriting, and even though it might look messier, it feels so much better. I don’t have to constantly worry that my handwriting isn’t neat enough for instagram, I can write my notes a lot faster, and I get extra time which can be used for actual studying. So I’m sorry if you’re disappointed because I changed my handwriting, but the main reason I take notes is because it benefits my studies, not because people on Instagram and youtube like to see them. Starting to care less about my handwriting has made me less stressed and anxious, so for me this change is definitely for the better. I’m hoping you guys will support me on this! My handwriting is still legible after all. 😉 ——— With the handwriting business out of the way, welcome to a new video! This is kind of an updated version of my most popular video «How i take neat notes (neat and effective», and I hope that you’ll like the tips I give in this one. These are not revolutionary tips or anything, just some helpful techniques that I’ve picked up in my schoolyears☀️ Feel free to leave your own note taking tips below, and thank you for watching the video! I'm also self-studying biology and chemistry to get a solid foundation for the subjects I'll be taking in university, as well as to get some repetition so I don't forget everything I learned in high school. Where do you buy (name of stationery item)? - If nothing else is specified I got it from a local book/stationery store. Google the brands to see where it's sold in your country! How old are you/where do you live/what's your name? - I prefer not to answer these questions for privacy reasons. I'm on a gap year after high school/before university so that is a good indicator for my age, I'm from somewhere in Norway, and I go by the name studytee/Tee here on the internet :) Can you send me your notes, or do you sell them? - I post my notes on Instagram, and other than that I don't share/sell them, I'm sorry! *Question/comment about my voice* - I am aware that I have a child-like voice, but that’s just the voice I was given. This is my «natural voice», and if you don’t like it then your computer or phone probably has a mute button somewhere. There, problem solved! What Can Alien Conspiracies Tell Us About Government and War?

10:53
What really crashed down to Earth in Roswell, New Mexico in 1947? Can we trust the government when they say it was just a weather balloon? Today Danielle looks at the history of alien conspiracies and what they teach us about the legacy of modern warfare, globalization, distrust of the government, and paranoia about foreign invaders.
