Apple SWOT analysis 2018
This video will analyze Apple company using a SWOT analysis. It will discuss the key Apple strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats that affect the company in 2018, which might help you get a better understanding about the Apple and its business. The most important strength Apple company has is an ability to design and develop proprietary hardware, software, applications and services. Unique, innovative and easy-to-use products and services that integrate seamlessly into one Apple ecosystem are the reasons why customers buy Apple’s premium products and enjoy using them. In other words, it creates a competitive advantage no other company can match. Many of Apple’s competitors have tried and still try to imitate the success of Apple’s product ecosystem, but fail due to not having strong capabilities in designing, manufacturing and developing both hardware and software, applications and services. As for the disadvantages, Apple’s major weakness is its reliance on one product to generate the majority of its revenue. The company receives over 141 billion us dollars or 61.6% of its total revenue from iPhone sales alone. While the company is trying to diversify its revenue sources, it is still largely affected by iPhone sales. The company’s revenue declined in 2016, mainly due to the decline in iPhone sales over the same year. Let’s move on to the opportunities and the key opportunity for Apple that I have identified are the growing augmented and virtual reality markets, which will be worth around 100 billion us dollars in 2023. One of the threats that affect Apple company is that smartphones and tablets are becoming a commodity. Apple is finding it very hard to differentiate its iPhones through incremental hardware improvements, as are other smartphone manufacturers. These are the key Apple SWOT strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. Business Coach Snehal Kamble performs a SWOT analysis of Apple, and talks about why Apple users hold their devices in high regard. ---- Follow Snehal Kamble on Social Media Youtube : https://goo.gl/T8XD5G Facebook : https://goo.gl/SDh3JX Twitter : https://goo.gl/zzqL97 or Contact Us on : 9223334907

SWOT analysis in practice - Starbucks -------------------------------- Strategy analysis has two main branches – analysis of a firm’s external environment and analysis of a firm’s internal environment. SWOT is a famous framework that allows us to combine the two types of analysis. SWOT is sometimes referred to as internal-external analysis. The acronym SWOT stands for Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats. The first two, Strengths and Weaknesses, are related to a firm’s internal environment, while the last two, Opportunities and Threats, consider its external environment. Internal strengths and external opportunities are vertically paired as helpful elements, while internal weaknesses and external threats are paired as harmful elements. if we perform a company analysis, under strengths, we would expect to see its core competences, the areas where the business excels and has a competitive advantage over competitors. Weaknesses are areas that need improvement. Such vulnerabilities place a company at a disadvantage when competing against other firms. Opportunities can be seen as favorable factors existing in a company’s external environment, in the industry where it operates, and have the potential to improve its current results and competitive positioning. Threats arise in a company’s external environment and might harm its current business.

SWOT Analysis of a Company (HINDI)
SWOT Analysis of a Company is very important for long term investors. This video is last part of 3 part video series on qualitative fundamental analysis. In the first part of this series, i shared the types of fundamental analysis. In the second part, i shared the importance of SWOT Analysis. In this last part, i have shared an example of SWOT Analysis for an IT Company. This video explains how you can take investment decision with the help of a SWOT Analysis of a Company. You can also compare the SWOT analysis of the companies in the same sector to decide which one is better for long term investment. During my analysis, i came across some interesting facts about this company. For example, though the contribution of digital revenue of this company was high at the same time, this company is not able to scale up the revenue compared to market leader in the same segment. Secondly, this company is not focusing on Govt contracts, Cloud based services, and enterprise solution. Some of the good things are sector and geography diversification. Samsung SWOT analysis 2018
This video will analyze Samsung company using a SWOT analysis. It will discuss the key Samsung strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats that affect the company in 2018, which might help you get a better understanding about the Samsung and its business. The most important strength Samsung has is very high research and development (R&D) expenditure resulting in one of the strongest patent portfolios among technology companies. Innovation is crucial to succeeding in the technology sector. Usually, the more a business invests in R&D, the more innovations it creates. Samsung operates 34 R&D centers across the world. The company has spent US$14.857 billion on R&D in 2017, which was the 2nd largest amount spent in the world. Samsung’s high R&D spending has resulted in it developing the largest patent portfolio among its key rivals. As for the disadvantages, Samsung's major weakness is that it releases too many smartphone models. According to GSM Arena, Samsung released 21 new models in 2017, which is more than what HTC (10), LG (15) or Apple (only 3 new iPhones) have released. The company’s smartphone portfolio is extremely large and that brings its own drawbacks, the major ones being: increased costs of designing new models; complexity of supply chain; lower economies of scale and difficulty of marketing so many products to different consumer segments. Let’s move on to the opportunities and the key opportunity for Samsung is to introduce a separate low-end smartphone brand to counter the expansion of OPPO and Xiaomi smartphones. In order to compete with low-end smartphone vendors Samsung could introduce a cheap smartphone line and use a different approach for this ‘new’ brand to increase their market share in this segment. One of the threats that affect Samsung is that smartphones using Android OS are becoming a commodity, which could impact the company’s gross margins. Currently, all Samsung smartphones run on Google’s Android OS. The Android OS is used by 85% of the world’s smartphones. It is also becoming harder for smartphone manufacturers to differentiate through hardware as the components are becoming cheaper and even low-end smartphone manufacturers can offer smartphone models with similar quality hardware as Samsung’s. This makes Samsung phones very vulnerable to becoming a commodity, where there is little room for differentiating its products through hardware and no options to differentiate through software. These are the key Samsung SWOT strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. If you’d like to access many more of them, please visit our website https://www.strategicmanagementinsight.com/swot-analyses/samsung-swot-analysis.html and purchase the Samsung SWOT analysis from there. My personal SWOT analysis is much like an analysis a company would do for a new product or service they are offering. The SWOT takes a look a my strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. By taking a personal look at these areas, I can better improve myself and show employers ways I can add value. The SWOT will help me to pinpoint what weaknesses I can turn into strengths and what threats I can turn into opportunities.-- Created using PowToon -- Free sign up at http://www.powtoon.com/ . Amazon SWOT analysis 2018
This video will analyze Amazon company using a SWOT analysis. It will discuss the key Amazon strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats that affect the company in 2018, which might help you get a better understanding about the Amazon and its business. The most important strength Amazon has is a combination of low cost structure, the largest merchandise selection and a huge number of third party sellers. Amazon is the largest online retailer in the world. In 2017, the company earned US$140.235 billion purely from online sales, more than any other retailer in the world. What is the key to such success? According to Jeff Bezos, the founder and CEO of Amazon.com, the company’s success lies in its low-cost structure and wide variety of merchandise. As for the disadvantages, Amazon’s major weakness is the growing long-term obligations-to-assets ratio. Amazon’s debt-to-asset ratio has risen significantly over the past few years and it is now one of the highest among its competitors. Let’s move on to the opportunities and the key opportunity for Amazon is the e-commerce market, which is forecast to reach US$4.5 trillion market worth by 2021. The e-commerce market is expected to expand significantly faster than the traditional retail sector, from US$2.290 trillion in 2017 to US$4.479 trillion by 2021, a growth rate of 95.6%. Based on these forecasts, e-commerce will account for 14% of total retail sales by 2020. One of the threats that affect Amazon is Walmart’s efforts to establish itself as a leading online retailer. In 2016, Walmart’s comparable store sales in the U.S. grew by only 1.6%, while the total sales of the Walmart U.S. grew by 3.2%. Most of the additional growth was achieved through e-commerce sales, which in 2016 grew by 16.11%. Walmart now has e-commerce websites in 11 countries and competes with Amazon in the U.S., U.K., Canada, China and Japan. These are the key Amazon SWOT strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. The Greatest Cash Machine in History: An Analysis of Apple (February 2017)
Apple is one of the great cash machines of all time, a company that has returned more cash ($183 billion) over the last five years than any other company in the world, while simultaneously building a cash balance of almost $250 billion. In a quarterly ritual that I started in 2010, I value Apple after its most recent earnings report (end of January 2017) and find it fully priced after an extended period where it was under valued (and in my portfolio). That is, though, based on my story and you are free to come up with yours and use my spreadsheet to convert to value. The SWOT Analysis - Threats

How to Conduct SWOT Analysis in a business? (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats)
This video is about conducting an analysis in business and marketing planning phase. It is a useful tool for managers to identify their strengths and weaknesses as compared to their competitors. Business SWOT Analysis What makes SWOT particularly powerful is that, with a little thought, it can help you uncover opportunities that you are well-placed to exploit. And by understanding the weaknesses of your business, you can manage and eliminate threats that would otherwise catch you unawares. More than this, by looking at yourself and your competitors using the SWOT framework, you can start to craft a strategy that helps you distinguish yourself from your competitors so that you can compete successfully in your market. How to Use the Tool Originated by Albert S. Humphrey in the 1960s, the tool is as useful now as it was then. You can use it in two ways – as a simple icebreaker helping people get together to "kick off" strategy formulation, or in a more sophisticated way as a serious strategy tool. Tip: Strengths and weaknesses are often internal to your organization, while opportunities and threats generally relate to external factors. For this reason, SWOT is sometimes called Internal-External Analysis and the SWOT Matrix is sometimes called an IE Matrix. To help you to carry out your analysis, download, and print off our free worksheet, and write down answers to the following questions. Strengths What advantages does your organization have? What do you do better than anyone else? What unique or lowest-cost resources can you draw upon that others can't? What do people in your market see as your strengths? What factors mean that you "get the sale"? What is your organization's Unique Selling Proposition (USP)? Consider your strengths from both an internal perspective, and from the point of view of your customers and people in your market. Also, if you're having any difficulty identifying strengths, try writing down a list of your organization's characteristics. Some of these will hopefully be strengths! When looking at your strengths, think about them in relation to your competitors. For example, if all of your competitors provide high-quality products, then a high-quality production process is not a strength in your organization's market, it's a necessity. Weaknesses What could you improve? What should you avoid? What are people in your market likely to see as weaknesses? What factors lose you sales? Again, consider this from an internal and external perspective: Do other people seem to perceive weaknesses that you don't see? Are your competitors doing any better than you? It's best to be realistic now, and face any unpleasant truths as soon as possible. Opportunities What good opportunities can you spot? What interesting trends are you aware of? Useful opportunities can come from such things as: Changes in technology and markets on both a broad and narrow scale. Changes in government policy related to your field. Changes in social patterns, population profiles, lifestyle changes, and so on. Local events. Tip: A useful approach when looking at opportunities is to look at your strengths and ask yourself whether these open up any opportunities. Alternatively, look at your weaknesses and ask yourself whether you could open up opportunities by eliminating them. Threats What obstacles do you face? What are your competitors doing? Are quality standards or specifications for your job, products or services changing? Is changing technology threatening your position? Do you have bad debt or cash-flow problems? Could any of your weaknesses seriously threaten your business? Tip: When looking at opportunities and threats, PEST Analysis can help to ensure that you don't overlook external factors, such as new government regulations, or technological changes in your industry. Further SWOT Tips If you're using SWOT as a serious tool (rather than as a casual "warm up" for strategy formulation), make sure you're rigorous in the way you apply it: Only accept precise, verifiable statements ("Cost advantage of $10/ton in sourcing raw material x", rather than "Good value for money"). Ruthlessly prune long lists of factors, and prioritize them, so that you spend your time thinking about the most significant factors. Make sure that options generated are carried through to later stages in the strategy formation process. Apply it at the right level – for example, you might need to apply the tool at a product or product-line level, rather than at the much vaguer whole company level. Use it in conjunction with other strategy tools (for example, USP Analysis and Core Competence Analysis ) so that you get a comprehensive picture of the situation you're dealing with. https://www.facebook.com/TheSpantikToday/
