Follow us at: https://plus.google.com/+tutorvista/ Check us out at http://www.tutorvista.com/content/biology/biology-iv/natural-resources/natural-resources-types.php Types of Natural Resources Natural resources are naturally occurring resources in the environment that have not been disturbed by mankind. By resource is meant any physical entity, which has limited availability. These resources occur in their natural form. Few examples of natural resources are: •Air, wind and atmosphere •Plants (Flora) •Animals (Fauna) •Agronomy (the science of using plants for food, fuel, feed and fiber) •Wildlife •Forestry and Agroforestry •Coal and fossil fuels •Range and pasture •Soils •Water, oceans, lakes and rivers Something that people generally arent aware of, is that everything we use in everyday life are derived from natural resources, for example, milk which comes from cows - animals are a natural resource. We use water, food and vegetables that comes from plants, salt which is a mineral are some of the other natural resources. Wood that we get from tree is a natural resource. It can be used to build a house, make paper, burn in fireplaces and in stoves for cooking, etc. Man utilizes these resources in various ways. These resources are processed further so as to be made suitable for our needs. The table below is an example that shows in what way the resources have been utilized. The 3 Best & Worst Protein Sources for a Keto Diet

Special Discount on Grass-Finished Beef: http://www.butcherbox.com/thomasdelauer Click Here to Subscribe: http://Bit.ly/ThomasVid Website: http://ThomasDeLauer.com The 3 Best & Worst Protein Sources for a Keto Diet - Thomas DeLauer What are the best and the worst protein sources when you are on a ketogenic diet? It's not as simple as just getting your proteins and fats in. Honestly, if you really want to take care of your body you have to take it one step further and know where your protein sources are coming from, but also, what they're doing inside your body that you may not even be aware of. Hey, if you haven't already, make sure you hit that subscribe button. I post three to five videos per week, also live broadcasts, so you'll never miss a beat when it comes down to health, fasting, ketosis, workouts, you name it. If you're already a subscriber make sure you hit that little bell icon, so you can turn on notifications whenever I go live or post a new video. So, let's get straight to it. I'm going to lay out the three proteins that I think that you should focus on, and I'm going to lay out the three proteins that I think you should absolutely avoid at all costs, or at least try to reduce your consumption of. First off, salmon. It's kind of an obvious one, you would've expected Thomas DeLauer to be talking about salmon because it's higher fat, and it just makes sense on a ketogenic diet. But, I want to take it a little bit further than just traditional salmon. First off, let me explain why you want to make sure you're getting wild caught and not farmed. This is a story that you've probably heard before, but a lot of it has to do with what are called PCBs. PCBs stands for polychlorinated biphenyls, and what these PCBs do is they cause a lot of chaos with your autoimmune system in your body. What that means is that whenever you consume these PCBs it's tricking your immune system to actually start this cascade of different white blood cells and different immune responses that cause your body to fatigue. You may not feel it right at the front end, but you're going to feel it when it comes down to burning fat, having more energy, things like that, because your body is wasting resources on triggering up the immune system, than the resources it should be using to help you burn some fat, get in better shape, and feel great. What we're finding, particularly in a study that was published in the Journal of Science, is that salmon samples that were wild caught ended up not having too much in the way of PCBs. Still a little bit, because they were able to be consumed through whatever that fish was eating, and through the ocean, et cetera, et cetera. Salmon that was farm raised ended up having eight times as much in the way of PCBs. References 1) 11 Impressive Health Benefits of Salmon. (n.d.). 10 Types of Zombie Apocalypse Survivors

08:29
From the crazy LOOTERS, to the smartest inventors who have figured out zombies, these are 10 Types of Zombie Apocalypse Survivors 5. Inventors/Scientists Mankind has used tools since they had the brain capacity to figure out a rock would make a good hammer. Creative minds will still be put to use even if zombies are trying to eat them. You might have thought people who had their own laboratories in their basement were crazy until the apocalypse arrives. These people strive hard to come up with ways to survive that the average prepper doesn’t have the creativity to come up with. A prepper by the name of Liu Qiyuan came up with something that’s been called the Great Ball of China, or what he calls noah’s ark, in order to survive the apocalypse. This can survive the strength of a Tsunami, the cold temperatures of the arctic and even the debris from an earthquake. So we’re guessing it should be safe against zombies. It’s air tight, with oxygen masks and plenty of food, water and even seatbelt. Inventors and scientists will be able to barter goods for sharing their survival ideas. 4. Economists Once some order is restored to the zombie apocalypse, and the initial panic has subsided some type of currency will be put in use. Your paper currency is probably best used as toilet paper at this point in the apocalypse but certain preppers will be ready for the barter system to take over. Stocking up on certain things now, like batteries, nails, and toilet paper might seem a little ridiculous now, but who knows! Maybe during the apocalypse, simply supplies like these could be prove to be worth their weight in gold. The economist specifically stocks up on supplies in order to become rich through the barter system. In order to get a good look at what might be valuable during the apocalypse, you can understand better by seeing what’s used as currency in prison. Things like ramen noodles are now the commodity of choice but other things like mackerels, homemade wine, cigarettes and weapons. It’s known that some packs of cigarettes have sold for as much as 500 dollars behind prison walls! Other things like silver and copper coins containing valuable metals have been minted specifically for the zombie apocalypse like you see in this photo, called zombucks. It’s difficult to say exactly what will have the most value, but things like fuel, seeds, medicine, bleach,, things to start fires and other things we already mentioned are good places to start. 3. Scavengers Scavenging is similar to looting in a way but these survivors don’t want to put themselves in as much danger as the looters do and go more for commercial areas. Of course, no one wants to become a scavenger but it’s the apocalypse and not everyone properly prepared! This might not be the worst strategy either and requires little to no time preparing. When many people have fallen ill from the virus, there will be a lot to gain from scavenging. For this one, you still going to need supplies in order to become the best possible scavenger. Supplies like bags, batteries and flashlights are all crucial.Be careful in choosing you bag since you want something that can move quickly. More skilled scavengers will be skilled in breaking and entering. Places like museums, abandoned warehouses, pharmacies, hospitals, gun stores, police stations, camping stores and many places. Be careful however, when scavenging refrigerated items since there’s a good chance they spoiled. 2. Mole People While most people will probably end up living above ground, there are those who choose the underground. This choice is somewhat drastic but there’s a good chance you’ll go undetected by looters and zombies if you choose this prepping strategy. It’s quite surprising to see what some humans are capable of creating underground. Things like entire cities are possible in the right area. Many people have invested millions of dollars in their private underground bunkers, but for the less fortunate ones in highly populated, places like subway systems become a last resort. Once the zombies have left the station, it can easily be secured with the proper equipment. 1. Zombie Teams While preparing for the zombie apocalypse, it’s easy to see how resources will go longer without as many mouths to feed but trying to be a lone survivor is not recommended. Surviving would be possible by yourself of course but many question how one’s mental health would be from lack of socializing during such a traumatic event. This one reason why you need a zombie team, it’s preferably to have an extra set of ears, eyes, and specialties while looking out for zombies. Choosing a team isn’t always easy either. You’ll have to see which type of surviving suits you best. You might find out who someone truly is until the apocalypse goes down, so choose wisely and hopefully you won’t be that guy who dies first. What is energy for kids | Learn about Energy Sources | Renewable Energy | الطاقة | エネルギー | zaffron

12:32
This video represents a good explanation of What is energy for kids. You will gonna learn about Energy Sources for kids, How we use Energy ( how to save energy ) and a brief understanding about different types of Renewable Energy resources as well as the nonrenewable ones. ► What is energy ? The best definition of energy, that every children should know, is that the Scientists define energy as the ability to do work. Modern civilization is possible because people have learned how to change energy from one form to another and then use it to do work. We use energy to move cars along roads and boats through water, to cook food on stoves, to make ice in freezers, and to light our homes. Energy comes in different forms: Heat (thermal), Light (radiant), Motion (kinetic), Electrical, Chemical, Nuclear energy and Gravitational Energy. People use energy for everything from making a jump shot to sending astronauts into space. There are two types of energy: ( Stored (potential) energy + Working (kinetic) energy ). For example, the food a person eats contains chemical energy, and a person's body stores this energy until he or she uses it as kinetic energy during work or play. Energy sources can be categorized as renewable or nonrenewable When people use electricity in their homes, the electrical power was probably generated by burning coal, by a nuclear reaction, or by a hydroelectric plant on a river, to name just a few sources. Therefore, coal, nuclear, and hydro are called energy sources. When people fill up a gas tank, the source might be petroleum refined from crude oil or ethanol made by growing and processing corn. Energy sources are divided into two groups: 1- Renewable (an energy source that can be easily replenished) 2- Nonrenewable (an energy source that cannot be easily replenished). ► Renewable energy and nonrenewable energy for kids : Renewable and nonrenewable energy sources can be used as primary energy sources to produce useful energy such as heat or used to produce secondary energy sources such as electricity. When people use electricity in their homes, the electrical power was probably generated from burning coal or natural gas, a nuclear reaction, or a hydroelectric plant on a river, to name a few possible energy sources. The gasoline people use to fuel their cars is made from crude oil (nonrenewable energy) and may contain a bio-fuel (renewable energy) like ethanol, which is made from processed corn. ► Moreover, you will gonna learn What is renewable energy for kids ? There are five main renewable energy sources: 1- Solar energy from the sun 2- Geothermal energy from heat inside the earth 3- Wind energy 4- Biomass from plants 5- Hydro power from flowing water ► What is Nonrenewable energy ? Most of the energy consumed in the United States is from nonrenewable energy sources: ( Petroleum products - Hydrocarbon gas liquids - Natural gas - Coal - Nuclear energy ). Crude oil, natural gas, and coal are called fossil fuels because they were formed over millions of years by the action of heat from the earth's core and pressure from rock and soil on the remains (or fossils) of dead plants and creatures like microscopic diatoms. Most of the petroleum products consumed in the United States are made from crude oil, but petroleum liquids can also be made from natural gas and coal. Nuclear energy is produced from uranium, a nonrenewable energy source whose atoms are split (through a process called nuclear fission) to create heat and, eventually, electricity. By watching this video, you will gonna learn how to conserve energy resources ( energy saving ) by understanding how energy conservation mechanism work as well as much knowledge about alternative energy resources. Enjoy watching and have a great time learning about energy sources for children.

Resources: Intro to Types of Portable Food

05:50
One of the most important and probably one of the more subjective topics is that of what food to pack in your kits. In general your food should: 1) Be something you and your family will actually eat 2) Have a distant expiration date 3) Be light enough to travel with 4) Be relatively easy to eat 5) Be nutritious enough to sustain you Consider any food allergies, cultural/religious considerations and the cost-to-outcome ratio as needed for your individual case. The kinds of food we will look at first are arguably the most common and come with their own pros/cons. MRE's: Meals Ready to Eat are primarily an invention by the military. Pros = Light, relatively long life, taste pretty good. Cons = Expensive, full of salt. Freeze Dried: These are very popular now and have become very cost effective as an option. Pros = Some are very tasty (I would eat for lunch normally lol), very light and easy to pack Cons = Need hot water to make, a bit pricey.

Minerals- What are minerals- Types of minerals

04:41
Minerals- What are minerals- Types of minerals In the context of nutrition, a mineral is a chemical element required as an essential nutrient by organisms to perform functions necessary for life. Minerals originate in the earth and cannot be made by living organisms. Plants get minerals from soil. Most of the minerals in a human diet come from eating plants and animals or from drinking water. As a group, minerals are one of the four groups of essential nutrients, the others of which are vitamins, essential fatty acids, and essential amino acids. The five major minerals in the human body are calcium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, and magnesium. All of the remaining elements in a human body are called "trace elements". The trace elements that have a specific biochemical function in the human body are sulfur, iron, chlorine, cobalt, copper, zinc, manganese, molybdenum, iodine and selenium. Most chemical elements that are ingested by organisms are in the form of simple compounds. Plants absorb dissolved elements in soils, which are subsequently ingested by the herbivores and omnivores that eat them, and the elements move up the food chain. Larger organisms may also consume soil (geophagia) or use mineral resources, such as salt licks, to obtain limited minerals unavailable through other dietary sources. Bacteria and fungi play an essential role in the weathering of primary elements that results in the release of nutrients for their own nutrition and for the nutrition of other species in the ecological food chain. One element, cobalt, is available for use by animals only after having been processed into complex molecules (e.g., vitamin B12) by bacteria. Minerals are used by animals and microorganisms for the process of mineralizing structures, called "biomineralization", used to construct bones, seashells, eggshells, exoskeletons and mollusc shells. Major Minerals Your body requires relatively large quantities of certain minerals – including calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, chloride, sodium and potassium – to function properly. These nutrients are known as major minerals, or macro-minerals, because you need more than 250 milligrams a day. Most major minerals actually have recommended intake levels above 1,000 milligrams per day. Calcium and phosphorus are the two primary components of bones and teeth. Calcium also promotes normal nerve and muscle function, while phosphorus helps generate energy. Magnesium gives structure to bones and helps control blood sugar levels. Chloride, sodium and potassium are electrolytes that work together to keep fluids and minerals balanced at the cellular level. Trace Minerals Trace minerals are just as important to your health as major minerals, but are required in much smaller quantities – fewer than 20 milligrams per day. Your body actually needs less than 1 milligram a day of most trace minerals, including chromium, copper, fluoride, iodine, molybdenum and selenium. Chromium helps regulate blood sugar levels, copper is used to produce red blood cells, fluoride helps harden tooth enamel, iodine is integral to thyroid health, molybdenum helps your body use stored iron and selenium is an important antioxidant. You need larger – but still relatively small – amounts of iron, zinc and manganese. Iron is vital to energy production, zinc supports normal growth and manganese is involved in bone formation. This Farm of the Future Uses No Soil and 95% Less Water

03:38
Watch the next episode about San Francisco becoming a zero waste city: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cg3OA1s8-SI&list=UUJsSEDFFnMFvW9JWU6XUn0Q As urban populations continue to rise, innovators are looking beyond traditional farming as a way to feed everyone while having less impact on our land and water resources. Vertical farming is one solution that's been implemented around the world. Vertical farms produce crops in stacked layers, often in controlled environments such as those built by AeroFarms in Newark, New Jersey. AeroFarms grows a variety of leafy salad greens using a process called "aeroponics," which relies on air and mist. AeroFarms' crops are grown entirely indoors using a reusable cloth medium made from recycled plastics. In the absence of sun exposure, the company uses LED lights that expose plants to only certain types of spectrum. AeroFarms claims it uses 95% less water than a traditional farm thanks to its specially designed root misting system. And it is now building out a new 70,000 square foot facility in a former steel mill. Once completed, it's expected to grow 2 million pounds of greens per year, making it the largest indoor vertical farm in the world. CBSE Class 10 | Geography | Agriculture | Types of Farming |

03:17
In this module, you will learn about Types of Farming, Agriculture has been the foundation of the Indian economy, providing occupation to nearly 67% of our population. Raw material from agriculture also supports a number of industries like cotton textiles, food processing and handicrafts. Primitive subsistence farming: Involves cultivating food crops in small fields essentially to sustain the farmer’s family. Depends entirely on local soil and environment conditions and monsoons. Involves hard manual labour. Is slash-and-burn agriculture. Allows the soil to regain its fertility naturally. Gives very poor yield and leads to a large-scale destruction of forests Besides India, slash-and-burn or shifting cultivation is practiced in many parts of the world and known by different names. In India, the most popular name for such shifting cultivation is Jhumming, by which it is known in many of our north-eastern states. Intensive subsistence farming:: Is practised in densely populated areas of India Aims to get maximum yield from the available land through extensive irrigation and use of large quantities of chemical fertilisers. Repeated division of land amongst successive generations of farmers decreases individual land holding, further encouraging farmers to use all available means to increase yield. Commercial farming: Involves the cultivation of a crop in large quantities for the purpose of selling it in the market Uses high yielding seeds, chemical fertilisers and pesticides Plantations are also forms of commercial farming. Cultivation of a crop can be classified as commercial or subsistence farming depending on the area it is grown in.
