But who makes that decision, and how does their choice affect the economy at large? Doug Levinson takes a trip into the United States Federal Reserve, examining how the people who work there aim to balance the value of the dollar to prevent inflation or deflation. www.endless-motivation.com People tell you, money doesn’t buy happiness. But that one line alone doesn’t mean much. Money can’t help you get friends. It can’t help you find a wife or a husband. You can’t buy your way to a better body. But what happens when you have no money? When you’re deep in debt. When you’re unemployed. When you can’t afford to give your family what they need. Now you see money in a different light. Money is insanely important. You can’t live in this world without it. Have you ever been broke? Like flat broke. Eating cheap food. Not being able to do the things you want to do. Turning down opportunities because you just can’t afford it. Not having money limits your life. So money doesn’t buy happiness, but poverty doesn’t either. Making money is what drives us. That’s why we get up every day and go to our jobs. I don’t like money. I like the things money can buy. Healthy food, entertainment, education, a home. Money is just as important as oxygen, you need it to live. So let’s get to the bottom line here, you need to work your ass off to make money. There’s no way you can live like a slacker. If you’re not working hard NOW then what are you waiting for? Waiting until your energy runs out at 45 years old? Or waiting for when you retire? Wouldn’t you rather hussle hard now while you’re young and then have a nest egg built up for the future. And then you won’t have to work so hard when you’re older because you’ll have a career and skills to get the job done. In my life I’ve worked a lot. I’ve had day jobs, I’ve had night jobs, I’ve had side jobs, freelance jobs. You name it. For a few months I worked from 10am to 6pm during the day followed by a night job working from 7pm to 5am. That schedule doesn’t even logically work and you probably shouldn’t do what I did. But hard work is everything. Now I know what it means to earn a living. The worst thing you could do is to squander your hard earned money. Especially after you’ve worked so hard to attain it. Don’t waste it. Spend at least a portion of your income on your future. Education, health, and possessions that have long term value. If you spend your money the right way, it will come back to you in multitudes. When you apply your earnings to important values like education and health, you don’t lose these things easily. It’s something that you keep with you for life. Being focused on making money does not give you the right to be greedy. You have to give back to the world, but it’s a lot easier than you think. It could be donating a small percentage of your hard earned money to charity. It could be guiding someone who is in the same position that you were in. It could be leaving a legacy for your children. It’s really up to you to decide. Whether you believe in it or not karma is real. And now might not be the time to return the favor. But some day, you want to give back. So next time your friends or your co-workers tell you money doesn’t buy happiness, you can tell them what it does buy. It buys you your essentials. Your tools. And your future. ► Subscribe - http://bit.ly/EndlessMotivationSubscribe ► Visit Our Website - http://bit.ly/EndlessMotivationWeb ► SoundCloud - http://bit.ly/EndlessMotivationSoundCloud

A video looking at way you can't simply print money to pay off debt. And what has happened when countries have tried to! And for that matter why a country having debt isn't necessarily a bad thing. The only reason the US has the most debt is because the US dollar is considered the most trust-worthy currency and other countries see the US as a safe place to put their money. It would be worse it countries started buying debt of other countries and stopped putting into the United States. The debt may be a lot but it's actually not something that's an issue. The US will never 'pay-off' its debt because that's not how it works. National debt only becomes an issue if GDP isn't growing, which it is. A more accurate way to see when the debt is an issue is the debt-GDP ration. In which the US is fine in that respect. Whereas Greece and Japan have debt-GDP ratios of over 150%, which is bad. Also, keep in mind that the US owns debt of many other countries. In fact, for every $1 of US debt, the US holds $0.89 of foreign debt. You could be losing out on money by keeping it stashed in a savings account. Most banks are currently paying customers less than 1 percent interest on their accounts that's less than the annual inflation rate.

If the government can print money, why doesn't it just print money and hand it out? Learn more: http://bit.ly/1HVAtKP Economics Prof. Antony Davies explains that understanding why money was invented can explain why it is not useful for the government to print money to give away. Increasing the amount of money available for goods and services will only increase prices: this is inflation. I remember learning this basic model with a similar example as a psychology undergrad at university. Except my professor said, "You start with a nice car. When that gets old and doesn't do it for you anymore, you get a nicer car. Then that doesn't do it, so you buy a garage of nice cars. Then those cars all bore you, so you buy a helicopter. Then the helicopter doesn't do it for you anymore, so you buy a yacht. You end up with a garage of nice cars, a helicopter, and a yacht, and you're miserable and nothing can make you happy." This is also common to the model of addiction where you have to constantly increase your baseline just to feel happy and normal. If you never take a break from heroin, you constantly need more just to feel normal, until you get to the point that you're taking massive amounts just to feel normal and reach a point where you can't take anymore and are miserable.

The devaluation debate - why do countries want their currencies to be weak? http://www.financial-spread-betting.com/Foreign-exchange.html David Morrison Market Commentator and Trader comments. If you've found this video useful, please click the like button and share it with your friends and remember to SUBSCRIBE to remain up-to-date! The argument for having a weaker currency is that you can export more and its good for your balance of payments. But its a bit of a fallacy really because there are two sides to this. Yes, if you have a weaker currency and if you're producing products in your country and people from outside want to buy these products and your currency is cheaper relative to theirs, then it is more attractive to buy your products. But if you are a country like Japan which has to import more materials to make those products in the first place, the fact that you have a weaker currency makes those raw materials more expensive. A weaker currency is also inflationionary and all countries are desperate to create inflation to reduce their debts.

I think that is something that most of us will never know until it is too late. It is only when we reach the end of our lives that we will understand whether we've actually saved enough. Why the government of any country doesn't print more currency or money to pay off all debts and make everyone rich by disbursing unlimited money? In this video in Hindi I have explained the answer of this question. It is in the hand of every country's government to print any amount of money but government doesn't print such unlimited money because of probability of inflation. If it was that easy then government would have made everyone rich and paid off all debts but practically it is not feasible. Printing more money always creates crises and causes inflation so idea of making everyone rich and pay off all debt is not possible by simply printing more and more money .We can print a lot of currency but after we will have to pay a huge amount of that currency to pay for even petty goods. How would you like to pay $417.00 per sheet of toilet paper? Sound crazy? It’s not as crazy as you may think. Here’s a story of how this happened in Zimbabwe. Around 2000, Robert Mugabe, the President of Zimbabwe, was in need of cash to bribe his enemies and reward his allies. He had to be clever in his approach, given that Zimbabwe’s economy was doing lousy and his people were starving. Sow what did he do? He tapped the country’s printing presses and printed more money. Clever, right? Not so fast. The increase in money supply didn’t equate to an increase in productivity in the Zimbabwean economy, and there was little new investment to create new goods. So, in effect, you had more money chasing the same goods. In other words, you needed more dollars to buy the same stuff as before. Prices began to rise -- drastically. As prices rose, the government printed more money to buy the same goods as before. And the cycle continued. In fact, it got so out of hand that by 2006, prices were rising by over 1,000% per year! Zimbabweans became millionaires, but a million dollars may have only been enough to buy you one chicken during the hyperinflation crisis. It all came crashing down in 2008 when -- given that the Zimbabwean dollar basically ceased to exist -- Mugabe was forced to legalize transactions in foreign currencies. Hyperinflation isn’t unique to Zimbabwe. It has occurred in other countries such as Yugoslavia, China, and Germany throughout history. In future videos, we’ll take a closer look at inflation and what causes it. Donations are welcome at: 1AtFaRrPFiwm2xUYN2C41edGgKPR5AXYDh Blockchain and Bitcoin explained in five minutes: Blockchain technology will drastically change our lives. In the coming years, Blockchain, the technology behind crypto currencies such as Bitcoin, will inevitably and radically change the role of traditional trusted parties such as banks, accountants, notaries, and governments. The animated video about Blockchain and Bitcoin that was released today on http://bitcoinproperly.org is the first to specifically address the technology behind Bitcoin: the Blockchain. Within five minutes, it is explained how the essential functions of the “trusted third party” can be automatized through the Blockchain as well as what the implications of this are. From Bitcoin hype to Blockchain revolution: an internet of trust. With the arrival of crypto currencies such as Bitcoin, everyone around the world can trade with each other without any involvement from traditional third parties such as banks, notaries, accountants, and governments. Trade is a fundamental pillar of our economy and society, and traditional trusted parties play a crucial role in this. The technology behind Bitcoin making all this possible – the Blockchain – ensures that the essential functions of the “trusted third party’, are fully automatized through the internet. This way, these functions are as freely available, accessible, and programmable as the internet itself. The animated video, available in both Dutch and English, explains how this works, also mentioning practical applications. The implications are clear: in the coming years, the role of the traditional trusted parties will inevitably and drastically change, strongly impacting our daily lives. The creators of this animated video invite its viewers to think about and discuss the fundamental and radical innovations made possible by crypto currencies. Rutger van Zuidam founder of Dutchchain, organizer of the Dutch Blockchain Hackathon: “The Netherlands have all the assets to become Europe’s Silicon Valley of financial technology. It is possible for the Netherlands to position itself favourably in comparison to the US and UK, who are currently still ahead. The technology behind crypto currencies like Bitcoin plays an essential role in leveraging these opportunities. We hope that the animated video about the technology behind crypto currencies will positively affect this development.” Lykle de Vries: ”Bitcoin is not the new money for internet, but it is the new internet for money, value and ownership in all forms. Crypto currencies like Bitcoin are the next step in the emancipation of all world citizens, and can help create a new dynamic for democracy, society and economy.” About the creators The animated video is a non-profit initiative by designers Patrick Loonstra (www.patrickloonstra.nl) and Sebas van den Brink (sebasvandenbrink.nl) and entrepreneurs Lykle de Vries (ThesisOne.com) and Rutger van Zuidam (DutchChain.com).

Making everyone rich by printing more money is poor decision of any government. So just click and watch the video....

The time value of money, commonly abbreviated as simply TVM, is the idea that money loses value over time. You may have heard the saying one dollar received today is worth more than one dollar received tomorrow. What this attempts to explain is the fact that the value of your hard earned money decreases each and every day. As an example, lets say that that your friend asked you for $500 with the promise to repay you that same amount in twelve months. Although you may be inclined to help your friend out this wouldn't be a great financial decision. But why? You're still receiving that same $500 you loaned him or her twelve months ago. The truth is, that although the numerical value of your $500 remains unchanged, you incur several costs by not having it in your possession. The first and probably the most obvious cost that you incur is inflation. Inflation is the increase in the price of goods and services over a period of time. Inflation generally runs at about two percent annually, although it has been quite less as of late. So if you hold your money for that period of time, what you can do with that money actually decreases. The financial equation to determine a present value is as follows: PV equals FV divided by one plus i to the nth power. In this equation, PV is the present value of our money and what we are trying to determine. FV represents that future value of our money, which is $500 . i represents the interest rate that we intend to discount or reduce our $500 by. Generally for discounting purposes the interest rate represents what we could've received if you had the money in our possession and put it to good use. In this case, we are going to discount our money by an inflation rate of two percent to reflect its diminished value. The last bit of data we need is the number of periods or n, which will be one to reflect the number of years we are going to discount our $500 by. The second reason that money decreases in value over time is due to opportunity costs. An opportunity cost represents what you give up by loaning the $500 to your friend. More specifically, the opportunity cost represents the next best alternative. What that is depends upon your unique situation. It could be investing in the stock market, placing the money in a savings account, or even spending it on new clothes. Unfortunately you incur an opportunity cost by giving up possession of your money. Now as a result of both inflationary pressures and opportunity costs your $500 will be worth less in twelve months. This is why banks charge interest on loans and why consumers expect to earn some type of interest when they place their money in a bank. It's simply being compensated for the costs that they incur by not having the money in their possession at this moment in time.

Why does your business exist other than for the purpose of making money? This is the MOST important question you can ask! https://www.consulting.com/channel/why-does-your-business-exist-other-than-making-money ABOUT THIS VIDEO: Why does your business exist other than for the purpose of making money? This is the MOST important question you can ask! And what's scary is that most entrepreneurs don't have an answer to this question. The only reason their business exists is to make money for themselves. What's wrong with this? Legally there's nothing wrong with this at all and people can do whatever they want! The problem is that these people will fail at making money and wonder "WHY?". Money is a byproduct of value, when you create value you make money. And money isn't value. So you can't create money by trying to make money, it just doesn't work that way! Companies who aim to solve problems and improve peoples lives create value, the byproduct of this is money. Lots of money. If you want to be motivated, have fun, help people and make a lot of money while doing so -- this video is for you! Check it out and let me know what you think in the comments? Why does your business exist other than for the purpose of making money? (The most important question you can ask). 2. Why most entrepreneurs don't have any purpose other than making money and why they don't make any money as a result. 3. Why making money isn't motivating enough for you to get out of bed and work hard everyday and why you need to dig deeper. 4. The "Cause & Effect" nature of value and money and why one must come before the other (and why people screw this up). 5. Why Boeing was the most successful company in the world when it's mission was to "Make the best airplanes in the world" and why it failed and lost money when it changed its mission to "To cut costs and make money for our shareholders". 6. Why the most successful companies in the history of the world made money as a byproduct of achieving a larger vision/mission. 7. One of my favorite things to do whenever I enter a new country (like Iran) is analyzed their currency situation, exchange rate and how these things affect their economy. I’ve handled many inflated currencies -- such as the Indonesian RUPIAH and Vietnamese DONG — but here in Iran, the RIAL gets a lot more confusing than inflation. Iran has 2 different systems to count their money. The first is RIALS (the official Iranian currency), and the second is TUMAN (which is like the Rial, without the last zero). As a traveler, you don’t know which price is listed unless you ask. $1 USD = 50,000 Rials and that same $1 dollar = 5,000 Tuman. Sound confusing? ... It is! Moreover, the only way to get money in Iran as a tourist is by bringing lots of cash (USD or Euros is preferred) and then exchanging it for Iranian Rials when you arrive. The reason is because there are no ATMs in Iran that cater to foreign banks. If you are as confused reading this as I am typing it out, then this video will explain the confusing world of the Iranian Rial a little better.
