Thanks for distinguishing the difference between goals and objectives! Even in the different courses, we are taught how to make "SMART" goals, but in reality, those are actually objectives. In the international business perspective, a company's goal should remain the same, but their objectives should reflect what is happening in the context of the environment, competition, economy, etc. --Jessica L.; MGSC44

As I said in an earlier video this is a very relevant and excellent planning framework. But I just wanted to draw special attention to the strategy and tactics piece, which I think is the most important part. Many companies will set the right goals, objectives and plans but can't get the execution right since their strategy and tactics are off. A good example would be through IBM they made the right call to aim for a shift into the enterprise and services industry, but given their recent financials and share prices they haven''t quite nailed the execution (strategy and tactics) .
